Our nation's journey has been enveloped with various episodes, scenes and trials which culminated into the Nigerian spirit of perseverance, courage, selflessness and the dream of a greater Nigeria irrespective of the insecurity, economic, religious, political and ethnic challenges faced by citizens today .
The vision of our founding fathers built on love, freedom and justice was destroyed by the mindless military entrance into our polity which led us into the wilderness of corruption, hatred and selfishness. As we all stand united with one voice clamouring for a greater, brighter and prosperous Nigeria, all hands must be on deck to bring back the lost glory of our country.
There is no doubt that we have all come a long way in this project called NIGERIA, but as a great and strong nation, we should plan to position our country to greater heights.

Nigeria At 59: HRM King Couple Oromoni Of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Urges Nigerians To Always Keep Alive The Joy Of Independence, Charges Nigerian Leaders To Be Selfless And Patriotic

Warri____ In a brief concise message to Nigerians in commemoration of Nigeria 59th Independence Day Anniversary, HRM King Couple Mackson Oromoni, Mobene 111, the Ama-Okosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom has charged Nigerians to always keep the joy of Independence alive, stressing that Nigeria is growing stronger despite the current challenges bedeviling the nation. He reiterated that, each lndependence celebrated gave an historical reflection of how Nigerians were subjected to the colonials rule under duress until 1st October 1960, when Nigeria gain their liberation on no account of genocidal agitation. He added that, there is no greater joy than the joy of such magnitude of achievement being emancipated from some sort of servitude, especially the sort of colonialism.
In much of this, seeing the ardent joy shared by myself and my compatriots, I deemed it fit to as well bring to the knowledge of those on the helm of affairs in this nation that, making life penurious and drab via selfish accumulation of our national treasuries is more or less a deception, betrayal and inflection that can only land political office holders barely a shade of the anthemic pledge to our beloved nation of which the plight contended will be worst than that of the colonial regime, because it is a known fact that, Nigeria as a country still lacks behind in terms of developments, empowerments and infrastructural attributes in spite of the fact that we are emulating among the top oil rich country's in the world.
Therefore, until those on the helm of affairs in the country relinquished from selfishness and start seeing the beauty of democracy as a way of making the people feel the impart of the dividend of government as their foremost priority, only then the joy of Independence will forever be on the face of the people.
Be that as it may be, it will only be better of if politicians consider to nexus political bonds with monarchs to the actualization of their chores and of which will add speed and channel infrastructures to the purposed destination, because it is now dawned to me that in the leadership of a kingdom, the people also as well expect from their king to attribute likewise of which they expected from the government.
Lastly, HIs Royal Majesty added that, may I as well use this medium to proffer words of oneness to my beloved people Ogbe-ljoh warri kingdom to celebrate this day with a clear thought to start afresh a beginning of lifestyle that will externally and internally influence peace, progressiveness and above all cooperation in our beloved kingdom. And to my fellow Nigerians across the nation as we hoped to celebrate our freedom in one accord proclaiming that we're one Nigerians, let the same spirit inflict us to maintain and always see each one another as a brother or sister in spite of the diverse ethnicity in our nation.
Now it is my earnest prayers for my people in Ogbe-ljoh warri kingdom and Nigeria at large that, as we celebrate this day, may Jehovah God in his merciful heart should give everyone of us the eye of understanding to forever maintain one love beginning from this day to achieve progressiveness that will spring us to limelight globally through Jesus Christ I pray Amen.

Alleged Plot To Terminate Amnesty Programme, A Call To Disterbalize Peace In Nigeria, Says Ijaw Youth Council President, Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo
Francis Tayor
Yenagoa_______ Prior to the rumour going round the air about some cabals in the Presidency urging President Muhammadu Buhari to terminate the ongoing Presidential Amnesty Programme for Niger Delta ex-agitators, the Ijaw Youth Council IYC, President worldwide, Barr. Oweilaemi Pereotubo has warned those evil plotters to desist from such move, stressing that such gesture will jeopardize the peace in Niger Delta and Nigeria by extension, owing to the facts that the nations economy will bleed when those boys return back to the creeks.
Barr Oweilaemi give the warning in a Press Release dated 28th September, 2019 stated that, the clandestine move by those cabals if materialised, will be viewed as ethnophobic propensity of the present government against the Niger Delta people. He reiterated that the federal government has not fulfilled its own part of the bargain since the Niger Delta ex-agitators laid down their arms for oil to flow freely into the nation's coffer, hence such plan is inimical for the well being of Nigerian economy.
According to Oweilaemi in the Press Release reads; " We have been reliably informed that there are clandestine moves by power players within the corridor of power at the presidency to abruptly terminate the Presidential Amnesty Programme. The move, if materialised by the enemies of peace, will be viewed as ethnophobic propensity of the present Government against the Niger Delta people.
In case the plotters of the evil coup fail to know, the Amnesty Programme is a mutual agreement between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Niger Delta people. The bargain is for the agitators to lay down their arms to accept the offer of Presidential Amnesty which has hitherto outlined terms and conditions to be complied with by both sides.
The Amnesty Programme is a well thought out developmental programme of the then government of late President Omaru Musa Yar'Adua with different segments. The Programme was phased into three segments which are: Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration for the first segment; Rehabilitation for the second segment while Strategic Implementation Work Plan (SIWP) for the third segment.
Granted that the first segment has successfully been carried out. However, we are still at the second segment which is the rehabilitation process. Engaging the youths on vocational trainings or sending people to school as well as the empowerment programmes are all part of the rehabilitation processes.
There is no time limit as to when the Programme will be terminated especially when all the segments have not been executed. The third phase has not been attended to which is strictly for the massive development of the region. None of the developmental master plans initiated in the Programme has not been implemented.
Where is the N1.5trn Coastal Highway already awarded before Yar'Adua's unfortunate death in 2009? What about the East West Road which is now abandoned by this present Government? What about the Federal Government, Multinational Oil Companies and Private Sectors tripartite agreement to massively develop the riverine communities which was duly incorporated in the Amnesty offer?
The agitators did not accept the Amnesty offer simply because they agreed to be paid N56,000 for a period of time. May we remind those in Government to check their records? The first meeting between the top echelons of the Niger Delta freedom fighters and late president Omaru Musa Yar'Adua which had heralded the smooth kick off of the Amnesty Programme, the agitators tabled their demands to Yar'Adua who beat his chest that he will not disappoint the Niger Delta people. All terms and conditions discussed in that meeting were documented by the Federal Government and they formed part of the Amnesty Programme.
The Government has not fulfilled its own part of the bargain since the boys have laid down their arms for oil to flow freely into the nation's coffer. Terminating the Amnesty Programme without fulfilling the conditions stated therein is a breach of trust and agreement and it cannot go scot free without being visited with dare consequences.
The world is watching us. Niger Delta crisis is a global issue. This was the reason why the agitators had earlier insisted that they want UN representatives to witness the truce. People should not pursue personal ambition to endanger the corporate existence of Nigeria. We hope that Niger Delta people will not be blamed for any breakdown of law and order. Let us be wary of our actions. Less we will jeopardize our corporate coexistence, the statement adds."
