Retired boxing legend, Mike Tyson, 55, was involved in an in-flight altercation Wednesday with an “aggressive” fellow passenger who he claims was harassing him on a JetBlue flight out of San Francisco International Airport.

 

“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat,” a rep for Tyson tells PEOPLE in a statement.

 

In footage obtained by TMZ, Tyson can be seen repeatedly punching the man, who later received medical attention and went to the police. The outlet reports that the boxer walked off the still-grounded plane seconds after the altercation.

 

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) tells PEOPLE that the victim “provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation,” and both men were released pending further investigation.

 

A source with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) tells PEOPLE that they have not received a report of any unruly passengers on that flight, but they “[look] into all airline reports of passenger disturbances.”

A rep for JetBlue did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

 

At the time of the incident, Tyson was headed to the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Miami, where he was listed as a keynote speaker after he launched his cannabis brand Tyson 2.0 last year.

 

Tyson has previously faced legal action for instances of violence, including serving three years in prison after he was convicted of raping 18-year-old Desiree Washington in 1992. He has since maintained that their sexual encounter was consensual.

The former heavyweight champion served another nine months in prison in 1999 after assaulting two motorists following a traffic accident. He was arrested again in 2009 after an altercation with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport, although no charges were filed.

 

Tyson is perhaps most notorious for biting a piece of Evander Holyfield’s right ear off during their 1997 rematch, for which he was subsequently disqualified and temporarily banned from boxing, in addition to facing a $3 million fine.

The phone could not be traced and the person who stole it switched it off soon after gaining possession of the phone.

Russia on Thursday slapped travel bans on US Vice President Kamala Harris, Facebook Chief Mark Zuckerberg, and dozens of prominent Americans and Canadians in retaliation for sanctions imposed over Ukraine.

The Russian foreign ministry said the travel restrictions on 29 Americans and 61 Canadians — which also includes defence officials, business leaders and journalists from both countries — would remain in effect indefinitely.

The US list includes ABC News television presenter George Stephanopoulos, Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, and the Russia-focused Meduza news site’s editor Kevin Rothrock.

The US defence officials include Pentagon spokesman John Kirby and Deputy Secretary of Defence Kathleen Hicks.

The list of Canadians is headed by Cameron Ahmad, who serves as director of communications to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Canadian Special Operations Forces Commander Steve Boivin.

The foreign ministry said the list was comprised of people responsible for the two countries’ “Russophobic” policies.

Russia had earlier banned Facebook and Instagram, which form part of Zuckerberg’s Meta empire, calling them “extremist” organisation.

A spokesman for the group, Mayor Samuel, who is also the convener of the Youth Compatriots of Nigeria said, “We were deceived and brainwashed by those who claimed they could do it in 2015.

“Now, we know better, under Jonathan the minimum wage could buy one or two bags of rice. What do we have today? We are begging President Jonathan to forgive us, we have realized our mistakes, we want him back to complete what he started.

Responding to them, Jonathan asked Nigerian youths to show greater interest in the nation’s political process.

The former President said it was time for youths to take advantage of the Not Too Young To Run Act to participate actively in the electoral process.

He said he was aware that they were “here to ask me to declare,” but he said, “I cannot declare because some process are still ongoing.”

“Yes you are calling me to come and declare for the next election, I cannot tell I’m declaring. The political process is ongoing just watch out. The key role you must play is that Nigeria must get somebody that will carry young people along”.

Michel de Nostredame (1503-1567) popularly known as Nostradamus was a French citizen with a streak of Jewish blood.

Nostradamus was a reputed seer who was able to penetrate the distant future for the sake of man. He received public attention in Europe because of the accuracy of most of his prophecies during his days.

Many people till date believe in Nostradamus' prophecies and use them to explain some global events and predict future ones.

I'm not an Apostle of Nostradamus. But I'm interested in discussing his World War prophecies because Americans believe them.

Nostradamus predicted three world wars; two had come to pass.

In his prophecy about World War 2, he said the war would start from Europe by a man named Hister. That Hister, in his inordinate ambition would attempt to rule the whole world. However, People of the New Land would come and conquer him and assume leadership of the world.

Note, experts were able to translate some key words of the prophecy. For example, "People of the New Land" was translated as "the United States of America". It was referred as People of the New Land because in the days of Nostradamus, the United States of America wasn't in existence. Then "Hister" as "Hitler".

Of course, the American government believes in Nostradamus' prophecies. It used the second world war prophecies of Nostradamus as a tool of propaganda to sway millions of Europeans to side with the Allied Forces against the Axis Forces.

Inscriptions like "We're winning the war because Nostradamus said so", "Nostradamus said Hitler would be defeated" were used by the Americans during the war.

In the end, America's Allied Forces defeated Hitler's Axis Forces. America's international hegemony was confirmed.

In other words, America is a beneficiary of Nostradamus' prophecies having used them as a tool of propaganda to win the second world war.

World War 3 prophecy of Nostradamus said, a country from the East would rise against the reigning world power (the People of the New Land) which would result in a World War that would be likened to Apocalypse. That he saw the People of the New Land dethroned at the end of the war. And that Eastern country would emerge as the New World Power. 

Identifying that particular country from the East is difficult. However, this question could be a clue to guess that country "Who are the main rivals or enemies of America?"

Currently, America's main foes are: (1) Russia, from EASTern Europe (2) China, from far EAST and (3) Iran, from the middle EAST.

Incidentally, these 3 countries have serious security issues with America. And they're allies against the US. It's only God that knows how it would happen if the prophecy is true.

The United States feels that in the event of Third World War, she won't survive because some powerful European countries like Germany, Italy would betray her. Additionally, many Arab countries and several other countries won't support NATO. This is the reason why the US is avoiding direct military confrontation with Russia because that means world war.

World War 3 has begun but unofficial. Russia, a super power, isn't fighting only Ukraine. Over 20 NATO countries including America, Britain, France, that are super powers, are indirectly fighting Russia. They supply Ukraine weapons to fight the war. As it's, Russia appears to be the underdog in the war.

China is itching to support Russia to avoid Russia's defeat in order to save her (China's) future from America's bullying.

America has resorted to using propaganda with the help of western media and dangling the threat of sanctions against China and other countries like India, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina etc should they support Russia in any form.

What I'm afraid of now is, if Russia's military becomes exhausted and the country feel existentially threatened by NATO, nuclear warfare becomes inevitable. That's World War is officially declared; what America is cunningly averting.

Another possibility that might quicken Third World War, is Russia arming Iran with nuclear weapons to be used against Israel.

Joseph Clark Kurobokekeme for the family, noted that the three days final burial rites of the elderstatesman of the Keredei's dynasty will commence this weekend Friday 22nd April, to Sunday 24th April, 2022, at Amatu 1 Community, Ekeremor LGA, Bayelsa State.

He died at the ripeful age of 86 years. He was survived by 1 wife, 8 Children, 49 Grand Children, 3 Great Grand Children, son in-laws, daughter in-laws and many relatives too numerous to mention.

Warri_____ A former Niger Delta militant warlord, Commander Josiah Oyakonghan, popularly known as Oyimi 1 of Niger Delta, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should prepare to hand over to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Oyakonghan, who is a former warlord of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, made the call in Warri over the weekend during Easter celebration, said Nigerians can trust only Jonathan to solve their problems.

According to the ex-militant leader, “We, therefore, use this Easter celebration to urge Nigerians to continue to support Buhari’s administration for him to deliver on the promise of change we are committed to seeing, and also work for Jonathan to return to the Villa.

In his words, he said:

“ We urge Buhari to work for Jonathan’s candidacy who will salvage our country and reawaken a new hope for national cohesion and development.

Henry Seriake Dickson on Bayelsa West Senatorial District people for second term when he knows it is the turn of Ekeremor Local Government Area to produce the next senator.

Expressing his anger, Comr. Ndoni said he is deeply disappointed on the alleged decision taken by the miracle Governor, His Excellency, Sen Douye Diri, to field the Bayelsa State Former Governor and Senator representing the good people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District for second term which supposed to be a father of all but sided on one man interest to displease the people of Ekeremor Local Government Area.

The Bayelsa West Senatorial District zoning agreetment is not a news for Ekeremor/Sagbama people, this has been a culture for all sons and daughters of the aforementioned LGAs who have agreed to alternate the West top job for every eight years in governance, even the Governor Diri knows that. Ekeremor people had sacrificed their love to keep their part of the already existing zoning agreetment to allow Sen Dickson to be successfully elected in 2020 Senatorial bye election to complete the remaining years of his Constituent brother, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo who was divinely promoted to occupy the position of the State Deputy Governor.

As a fearless son of Ijaw Nation, I enjoined my voice with other patriotic sons and daughters of Sagbama/Ekeremor LGA that formed Bayelsa West Senatorial District to urge His Excellency, Sen Douye Diri, to act as agent of peace and harmony in other to sustain peaceful coexistence enjoyed by the people of Bayelsa West District and allow the masses to decide who to be elected as their next Senator to represent them at the Red Chambers comes 2023 general elections. 

Ndoni speaks volume, outlined the subsequent routine of the unsealed zoning arrangement, noting that it is the turn of Ekeremor LGA to produce the next Senator while Sagbama is to produce the next House of Representative member comes 2023. He warned that imposition of candidate based on self interest and assurance of second term bid will not only jeopardize the peace and harmony enjoyed among the people of the District but will also pose disunity that would cause destruction of lives and properties among those at the loosing side and the people of Ekeremor/Sagbama Local Government Areas.

The Chairman of the reverend Elite People's Forum of Operemor Kingdom (EPF) in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief John Amatari, has appreciated the Chief Bare Etolor led committee and members on their steadfastness by ensuring due process in conducting a thorough selection to usher a new King in Operemor Kingdom.

Chief Amatari made the commendation on Tuesday 19th April, 2022, in Warri, through a Press Statement, urged Chief. Bare Etolor led Committee to as a matter of urgency carryout the Kingship selection process in the kingdom as far as there is no subsisting order of court restraining him and the committee members from performing their assignment, adding that Operemor kingdom is badly in need of new king in other to stand tall among other traditional institutions across Delta State, Niger Delta region, Nigeria and beyond.

According to Amatari, said: "It is a thing of joy having a dogged and uncompromised committee, chaired by High Chief Bare Etolor to ensure a peaceful and harmonious transition selection process to usher new King in Operemor Kingdom.

The U.S. government has announced that it has approved the sale of attack aircraft and other military equipment to Nigeria to use in fighting terrorists operating in the country.

According to a statement released Thursday, April 14, by the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the equipments are to cost Nigeria about $997 million.

The approval comes after months of back and forth on the matter, with the US initially reported to have denied Nigeria’s request over human rights concerns.

The acquisition of the military equipment comes less than a year after the U.S. government supplied the country with 12 units of super tucano aircrafts.

According to the statement released on April 14, 2022, the equipment requested to be purchased by the Nigerian government include 12 AH-1Z Attack Helicopters; twenty-eight (28) T-700 GE 401C engines (24 installed, 4 spares); and two thousand (2,000) Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) guidance sections.

Others are Night Vision Cueing Display (NVCD); commercial variant GPS with Standard Positioning Service (SPS), and communication equipment.

The equipment also include electronic warfare systems; AN/AVS-9 Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging System; M197 20mm machine gun; Target Sight System (TSS); support equipment; spare engine containers; spare and repair parts; tools and test equipment; technical data and publication.

The statement said the sum to be paid by Nigeria also covers the training of personnel in handling the equipment.

The statement reads: “This proposed sale will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a strategic partner in Sub-Saharan Africa.

“The proposed sale will better equip Nigeria to contribute to shared security objectives, promote regional stability and build interoperability with the U.S. and other Western partners.

“This sale will be a major contribution to U.S. and Nigerian security goals. Nigeria will have no difficulty absorbing the equipment and services into its armed force.”

The U.S. also stated that the training of Nigerian officials for the maintenance of the equipment will be for a period of five years and will require approximately three contractor support representatives to reside in Nigeria for a period of two years.

It is quite unfortunate that the leadership of the highly respected Urhobo apex body, the Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) is now shamelessly living in falsehood and self-deceit because of stomach infrastructure.

The UPU spoke about zoning the governorship seat of Delta State by the three senatorial zones, and how the agreement has helped to bring peace and unity to the state. In their hasty scheming to collect the spoils of endorsement, they forgot to tell deltans the type of zoning we are practicing i.e; zoning by tribe or senatorial zones? And they equally forgot to mention how the zoning will be: either first in each round will continually be first in every round or it will start from back to front.

The leadership of the UPU rubbished themselves in mud by endorsing David Edevbie and even standing surety for him as if they are reliable people.

The UPU leadership failed to tell deltans why they supported David Edevbie to contest against Delta North slot in 2014 PDP governorship primaries, when they knew they have already had their eight years?

In the spirit of zoning, no Delta North person purchased the PDP governorship form against the Urhobos or Ijaw in 2022, but the UPU almost truncated the so-called agreement against Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan in 2007, when they funded Great Ogboru of DPP against PDP, then repeated it against Delta North in 2014. How do they want Governor Okowa to believe such conscienceless people let alone deltans to take them serious?

Do they think Delta North politicians are weaklings, no, they are peace makers, they practice what they preach, not that they are afraid of violence.

We make bold to say that, David Edevbie has no experience let alone the credential to govern a state.

In the ignorance of these selfish dealers (UPU leaders), they claimed that David Edevbie has both national and local experience of governance, how?

As at the last check, David Edevbie was a Private Secretary to late President Umar Musa Yar-adua for approximately two years.

How can a man who was a private secretary (not Principal Secretary, Special Adviser or Minister) have more experience than a Deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, former Minister, Speaker of a State House of Assembly and former Secretary to the State Government?

What experience is UPU talking about concerning David Edevbie that Ovie Omo-Agege who was a former Commissioner in Delta State, former Secretary to Delta State Government and currently the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria do not have?

Is there any experience David Edevbie has that Festus Ovie Agas who was a former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, former D-G of DLA, former Secretary to Delta State Government, former Chief Strategist to Delta State Government and currently the Chief of Staff to the Governor do not have?

What about Fred Majemite, Speaker Sheriff Obovweri and others? David Edevbie is the least experienced among them all.

Is the so-called Urhobo government aware that David Edevbie aided the stealing of Delta State money to fund Umar Musa Yar-adua's election as PDP candidate in 2006 presidential primaries just to be made a common private secretary?

Is UPU aware that David Edevbie aided the stealing of the recently recovered £4.2million (four million and two hundred thousand pounds sterling) from the British Government that is still with the Federal Government?

Are these shameless signatories of the UPU aware that David Edevbie aided the stealing of Delta State $15million (fifteen million dollars) Chief James Ibori used in bribing Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and that money is in CBN?

Is the UPU aware that David Edevbie and Ighoyota Amori were in charge of the notorious Ibori's government that stole our monies?

Is the UPU aware that Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan told the listening audience in Government House when he won his election case in Tribunal that, so many innocent blood were shed in the Government House by previous administration, that he will not tow that path as a child of God? Who shed the blood of innocent deltans and for what purpose?

Are the leadership of UPU moved by their stomachs or they were hypnotized by their human-god?

Instead of the UPU to beg deltans for the wasteful administration of Chief James Ibori that David Edevbie played a pivotal role, they are begging the Governor to hand over to David Edevbie as our next governor.

Now we know the real enemies of the people. 

The leadership of the UPU are not happy because no one is stealing free money for them to share every Friday, therefore, want to support the candidacy of a man whose meaningless position in the late President's office was bought with our tax payers money.

If the leadership of the UPU is sincere to themselves, they would have done this their foolish endorsement before the Urhobo aspirants purchased their expression of interest and nomination forms, not after buying the forms. They would have even done it before DSP Ovie Omo-Agege declared his intention to run for the Office of the Governor of Delta State.

The leadership of UPU only spoke for their insatiable appetite for our state treasury that has been out of their reach for almost sixteen years now, therefore, looking for means to relaunch themselves back to business.

We hereby appeal to the Governor and the good people of our state to disregard the foolish endorsement of an aspirant by the dealers in-destinies known as the leadership of the UPU, they want us to remain perpetually poor and slave to them.
