In the beautifully composed piece of music blended with ljaw language, pidgin english as well as slow and steady captivating highlife  beats at the background, Coded Buku described the untimely death of Ekeremieye as very painful and a big blow to ljaw nation, saying if the nature of his early departure to the other world is tagged as  destiny, that is a very bad one.

Coded Buku with tears in his heart passionately pleaded with God to bring back Joseph Ekeremieye for the sake of his family and loved ones he left behind, exclaming the kind of wicked world and dirty life we are living.

Buku went further to note that for the fear of God, one cannot question His actions because the Bible clearly stated that in every situation in life, good or bad, we should give thanks to God Almighty because He is the creator and giver of life.
The former Joseph Ekeremieye back up artist, Coded Buku briefly captured some of Ekeremieye's beautiful artistic works where he lamented and Pray to God to bless him and his loved ones so that life would be meaningful and enjoyable to everyone because he was tired of poverty and life challenges.

But with all his prayers and heart desires he wishes for himself and friends through that song, at the end he suddenly died struggling in accident without reaping the fruits of his labour.

In the concluding part, the young talented instrumentalist pray God to accept the humble spirit of Joseph Ekeremieye at His heavenly kingdom, wishing his gentle soul to rest in perfect peace in the bosom of the Lord.

NNPCL discovers another illegal pipelines, 162 refineries in N/Delta

NNPCL discovers another illegal pipelines, 162 refineries in N/Delta

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has said it discovered 162 illegal pipeline connections and illegal refineries in the Niger Delta, mostly in Bayelsa in the past week.

In a documentary by the oil company shared via its social media ‘X’ handle on Wednesday,  NNPCL said 93 illegal pipeline connections and 69 illegal refineries were discovered from Aboa and Gbokoda between July 15 and 21, and had been destroyed.
It noted this as part of its fight against crude oil theft in the country.

“War on crude oil theft: 93 illegal pipeline connections discovered and 69 illegal refineries destroyed in the Niger Delta in the past week,” the company wrote.

According to NNPCL, the illegalities were discovered using its maritime intelligence system.

“30 wooden boats used in carrying stolen crude oil were confiscated in the past week, with some in Gbokodo, and five cases of oil spill recorded in the deep blue waters,” it said.
The PUNCH had reported how a militant group, a self-acclaimed Niger Delta militant group, Creek Reform Warriors threatened to resume attacks on major oil facilities in the region.

In a statement, the group particularly threatened to attack facilities operated by the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, over alleged unjust sacking of some workers in Forcados terminal.

Leader of the group, General Igbokuro Tinowei had demanded reinstatement of all workers from Ogulagha and Odimodi communities, who according to him, were sacked unjustly by SPDC in 2019.

He claimed that the IOC had promised to recall the sacked workers immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic, but serially defaulted; while warning the management of SPDC to reinstate the said workers within two weeks or face dire consequences of brutal attacks.

Amidst the uproar, the NNPCL said the Federal Government would renegotiate the country’s production quota in the ongoing OPEC+ cuts by November.

Delta Govt sets to demolish structures built on natural waterways

Delta Govt sets to demolish structures built on natural waterways

Francis Tayor

Warri _____ The newly appointed Director General (DG) on Special Duties to the Delta State Government, High Chief. Frank Omare has resumed work with on the spot inspection of flashpoints, flood prone areas within Warri and Uvwie local government areas of the state.

Omare with his team alongside the press turn round the city of Warri and its environ on Saturday to various locations of the natural water channels in order to identify the root causes of incessant perennial flooding that affects many homes as result of any slight rain drop.
During the on the spot inspection tour, Chief Omare discovered that most residential buildings and business premises are built on major natural waterways, thereby impeding free flow of water to the bigger river whenever it rains.

As result of that, the waters fight back and flooding our homes and environment, making life unbearable for residents across the state.

While addressing traders at Ekpan roundabout wood market, Chief Omare urged the market women who trade on structures built on natural water channels to begin evacuation of their properties within the shortest possible time or risk forceful demolition by the state government with swamp buggy.
He explained to Warri residents that Delta State Government under His. Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori led administration is coming up with master plan to salvage Deltans from perennial flood disaster.

To achieve the vision, all hands must be on deck and the people must support the government by doing the right thing in removing their buildings obstructing the free flow of waters at the newly constructed drainage systems across the state.

Meanwhile, Omare give a saving grace to landlords and shop owners who built on major natural waterways to evacuate their valuables from now to nextweek, adding that swamp buggy has no friend and it will come like a thief to commence operation, he stated.

However, areas visited include Ogboroke, Edjeba link road canals, Uti, Alegbo major natural water channels, Heaven Estate canal Ogboroke, Ekpan Wood market among others.
