Comedian Klint Da Drunk Involves A Ghastly Motor Accident


Popular Nigerian comedian, Afamefuna Igwemba, popularly known as Klint Da Drunk, has escaped death in a ghastly car accident.

The comedian took to his Instagram account on Thursday morning to share a testimony of the incident.

Posting photos of ‘his damaged car, the comedian expressed gratitude to God for surviving a car crash.

While the car was damaged to a large extent behind, the humor merchant was unscathed.

Praising God for surviving the accident unscratched, the comic entertainer captioned the photos, “Can’t believe I was in this car! Lord God Almighty, I thank you for the gift of life. You saved me and brought me out without a single scratch. Lord, I thank you!”

His friends, fans and colleagues have taken to his comment section to express their joy that Klint Da Drunk is safe and unharmed.

Warri____ Remains of late mama Ebikeseye Christiana Mulade, mother of Delta State 2023 Governorship aspirant, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, were over the weekend Friday 26th November, 2021, laid to eternal rest at her hometown, Kokodiagbene in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, amidst tears and eulogies.
 
Mama Ebikeseiye who was interred at about 3:45PM. She was aged 66 years and was survived by 8 Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunty's and many relatives.

Earlier in his sermon at the funeral service held by Temple of Salvation Zion Kokodiagbene, Snr. Apostle. Philip Tonfawei, described late Ebikeseye Mulade as a woman that made positive impact in the society, especially raising her children right.

Tonfawei said resurrection and judgement were at hand and advocated for a positive change of heart among believers and sinners as there was no repentance in the grave.

While praying God to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest,  he urged her children to immortalize her by promoting the good traits she radiated.

In his remarks at during the service, the General Manager of DBS Warri, Pst. Malcolm Oteri, who was ably represented by the Assistant GM, Mr. Patrick Edema, commiserated with the Mulade family on the passing of their mother, noting that she lived a life of great accomplishments, especially in bringing up her children in the way of the Lord.
Patrick Edema, on behalf of DBS staff present said late. Ebikeseye Mulade was a great mother who went through a lot in keeping the family together having lost her husband 35 years ago.

“She lived a life that continuously believed in God, a life of compassion and service unto the people and we must continuously pray for the spirit to care for one another in the course of our Christian race"

He however, urged Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade and his siblings to takeheart, stressing that mama is resting in the bosom of her creator God Almighty, the statement added.
 
Speaking on behalf of the family, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, thanked all dignitaries for attending his mother’s burial ceremony, saying that his mother teachings, advice and wise counsel had made him whom he is today.

Mulade said the late mother was everything to him, saying she was a colossus, a precious gold, precious enigma, Amazon of the Mulade's dynasty. She was my Adviser and Mentor. He reiterated that his mother denied herself of luxuries to makesure he and his siblings acquired education and get to the top of their life aspirations in the society. 

He lamented that he would miss the mother’s advice, daily teachings and prayers.

" l must confess at this point, it is hard for me to say good bye, because of your sudden painful exit. We cannot celebrate your demise as life well spent, we are in tears, but who are we to question God, your Creator"

Rest on our Dear Mother.
Farewell the mother of many children. We sincerely hope and fervently pray that you find a peaceful rest in the bosom of your Creator, Amen, Mulade stated.

A new militant group in Rivers State called ‘Bayan-Men’ has again attacked another oil facility belonging to the Nigeria Agip Oil Company in the Obosi area of Omoku, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area.

The PUNCH reports that the attack followed the expiration of the 24-hour ultimatum the militants issued to the company to address their demands.

It was gathered that the fresh attack resulted in an explosion that shattered the serenity of the area.

Chief Magistrate Court in Warri, Delta State, has granted bail to the Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayiri Emami, after he was arraigned on Wednesday on allegations bordering on conspiracy, burglary and stealing.
 
Ayiri, a billionaire businessman, is being accused of invading the palace of the Olu of Warri alongside others early this year following the demise of Ogiame Ikenwoli.
 
It’s being alleged that during the invasion of the palace, the ceremonial crown of the Olu, was reportedly carted away by the invaders.

Ayiri was arraigned on three-count charge – conspiracy, burglary and stealing – with reference case No: CR630/2021.

The embattled Ologbotsere, who had denied his involvement in the invasion of the palace, pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to him.
 
The court, however, granted him bail and adjourned the case to January 19, 2022 for further hearing.

Ayiri confirmed his arraignment in court on Wednesday, accusing some prominent Itsekiri chiefs including the Iyatsere of Warri, Chief Johnson Atsheghele, of being behind the case.

He stated that his arraignment would not stop him from pursuing other cases he had already instituted  in various courts challenging the selection and emergence of Ogiame Atuwatse lll as Olu of Warri.
 
The Itsekiri chief vowed to pursue the case to a logical conclusion to clear his name of any involvement in the invasion of the palace.

HND/B.Sc: Finally Reps abolish dichotomy, prescribe severe penalty for violators

A bill seeking a perpetual end to the dichotomy between the university degrees of Bachelor’s of Arts/Science, BA/BSc and the Higher National Diplomas, HNDs awarded by polytechnics have been passed into law in the House of Representatives.

Titled “A Bill for an Act to Abolish and Prohibit Dichotomy and Discrimination between First Degree and Higher National Diploma in the Same Profession/Field for the Purpose of Employment; and for Related Matters”, the bill was read for the third time which was the final stage of the law-making process at Tuesday plenary.

The next stage would be concurrence with the Senate before it will be transmitted to the Presidency for the presidential assent.

The bill stipulates some punitive measures against any form of discrimination against holders of HND.

The Implication of the piece of legislation is that the two certificates are now at par with each other.


 
The deputy majority leader, Hon. Peter Akpatason moved for the third reading of the Bill and it was seconded by Rep. Aishatu Dukku.

The Bill was later voted on and approved for the third reading.

Detailing the equality of Degrees and HNDs, the bill stipulates that “Notwithstanding any provision in any legislation, circular, regulation or policy guideline, First Degree and Higher National Diploma shall be deemed construed and treated as equivalent qualification for the purpose of employment and career progression at workplace in the public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy.

“Any provision in-laws, enactments, instruments, circulars, scheme of service, directives, ort policies by whatever name called, which is inconsistent with the provisions of this bill, shall to the extent of the inconsistency be null and void, and of no effect.

“Holders of the First Degree and the Higher National Diploma (HND) shall be given equal treatment and opportunity in career placements, career progression, admission to further studies and privileges whatsoever in consideration of status as graduates of Nigeria tertiary institutions of higher learning.”

The bill also prohibited discrimination between the Degree and HND.

“All forms of discriminations and or dichotomy between First Degree and Higher National Diplomas for the purpose of employment, transfer of service,conversion of cadre, career progression, promotion, and other related issues in the public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy is hereby abolished.

“No person, authority, entity (body or corporate) in whatsoever name call shall discriminate and or undertake any action in any form whatsoever which is misconstrued as and or intended to give any preferential treatment in favour of and/or against holders of the First Degree or the Higher National Diploma.

“Any person or entity in the public or private sectors of the Nigerian economy who contravenes the provisions of this bill commits an offence under this bill and shall be liable upon conviction to a term of two years’ imprisonment or a fine of N1,000,000 or both.

“Any person or entity in the public or private sectors of the Nigerian economy who design, prescribe and or specify any guidelines, terms or conditions of employment, career progression, and or any other instrument by whatever name called in violation of the provisions of this bill shall be guilty of an offence under this bill and liable upon conviction to a term of 1-year imprisonment or a fine of N500,000 (five hundred thousand naira) or both”, it states.

Prescribing appropriate sanctions, the bill states that any person who induces or encourages any other person for the violation of any of the provisions of this bill shall be liable upon conviction to a fine of N500,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or both.

It further states that where an officer of any entity in the public or private sector fails to comply with the provisions of its provisions, the person shall be guilty of an offence and liable upon conviction to an imprisonment term of six months or a fine of N500,000 or both.

“Where in any proceedings against any person for an offence under this bill, it is established that any action constituting an offence under this bill has been committed by an officer, it shall be presumed that the action was done with the motive or intent of committing an offence under this bill as the case may be until the contrary is proved,” it added.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc+  has reiterated that Proactive Policing is his watch word and modus operandi because it is better to prevent crime than reacting to it. He said taking the battle to the den of criminals, arresting and prosecuting them will go a long way in deterring the minds of others who are thinking of going into crime. Stop and search, intensive patrol and continuous raid of black spots/criminal hideouts and intelligence gathering are part of the proactive policing that the CP has directed Area commanders, DPOS, and tactical commanders to adopt. These proactive policing has continued to yield results as the command has recorded yet another major success against crimes and criminality.

1) ARREST OF A SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER AND A 77YEAR OLD GUN RUNNER/RECOVERY OF THREE DOUBLE BARREL GUNS AND TWO SINGLE BARREL GUNS: 

On 20/11/2021 at about 0500hrs following a distressed call that three suspected armed robbers were in the premises of one man (name withheld) along  Ozoro/ Ughelli road. The DPO Ozoro Division CSP Ogedengbe Areguamen led a combined  team of Police/vigilante to the scene. The suspected armed robbers  on sighting the police teams took to their heels and the team gave them a hot chase during which one of the suspects named Emma Ighodalo 'm' of Irri village  aged 28yrs  was arrested with one live cartridge  while two members of his gang escaped. Upon interrogation,  the suspect confessed that he threw his gun away somewhere in the bush as he was running and that he  bought the said gun from One Michael Enipozi for the sum of #30,000. The suspect  led the Police to Irri village  where the said  Michael Enipozi 'm' of Irri in Isoko south LGA aged 77yrs was arrested. Three double barrel guns,  two single barrel guns  and other tools used in producing guns were recovered from him. Preliminary investigation revealed that the 77yrs old suspect is a welder who produces guns for criminals and he admitted that he sold the gun to the suspect and that he has been in the business of producing guns for the past twenty years. Manhunt for the other two fleeing suspects is ongoing.

2) ARREST OF A 65YR OLD SUSPECT FOUND IN POSSESSION OF ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY ROUNDS OF LIVE CARTRIDGES:

On 19/11/2021 at about 1630hrs Operatives attached to the Command crack squad in total compliance with the directive of the Delta state Commissioner of Police on continuous raiding of black spot/criminal hideouts  acted on intelligence gathered over a period of time and  raided a criminal hideout at Emevor Community in Isoko North LGA and arrested one Solomon Udanya 'm' aged 65yrs. The following exhibits were recovered from him;  One hundred and thirty rounds live cartridges, one single barrel long gun, three packets of tramadol, six bottles of codeine and various contraband drugs. Investigation is ongoing.

3) ARREST OF SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS/RECOVERY OF ONE LOCALLY MADE PISTOL:

On 17/11/2021 at about 1700hrs Eagle net patrol team while on a  stop and search duty along Bomadi-Ohoror road intercepted a daylong unregistered motorcycle with three occupants namely Promise Jonah  27yrs "m" of Mbiama in Ahoada West LGA River state, Friday Frank 29yrs "m" of Esampou Community in Ekeremor LGA in Bayelsa but resides in Bomadi  and Bekus Ayibe "m" of Ekeremor LGA of Bayelsa State respectively. Upon a painstaking search on the suspects, one locally made pistol and two cartridges were recovered from Promise Jonah. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect Promise Jonah contacted the other two suspects and told them he has a gun and that they should look for a motorcycle to steal. The suspect Friday Frank who resides in Bomadi boarded a bike and took the unsuspecting bike man to GRA water side in Bomadi where the other two suspects came out with the gun and threaten the bike man who submitted the keys and fled. Luck ran out of them when the Police  team  intercepted them.  Victim has identified all suspects as those who robbed him of his motorcycle. Suspects are currently in custody while investigation is ongoing.
The CP has assured members of the public particularly residents of the state that the command will continue to do its best to see that the state is free from crimes and criminality while urging them to continue to partner with the Police by giving useful, credible and timely information  for effective policing.

Warri_____ Three aspirants in the race to be governor of Delta State come 2023 will be speaking on burning issues relating to power rotation in the state at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri Chapel lectures and awards.

The frontline governorship aspirants who are guest speakers for the lectures and awards are Olorogun Fred Okiemute Majemite, Chief James Augoye and Comrade (Chief) Sheriff Mulade.

A statement by the Chairman, Planning Committee of the Press Week, Comrade Felix Ekwu and the Secretary, Comrade Johnson Obasedje, says the lectures and awards scheduled for Friday, December 3, 2021, beginning at 2pm at Casa De Pedro Annex Hotel Hall along Refinery Road, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, are part of activities lined up to mark the Chapel’s maiden Press Week.

The keynote paper on the theme of the Press Week: Journalism Practice In The Build-up To 2023 General Elections In Nigeria, will be delivered by renowned Warri based constitutional lawyer, Dr Akpo Mudiaga Odje.

Olorogun Majemite, who doubles as the chairman of the event will speak on “Sustainable Democratic Growth of Delta with Senatorial Power Rotation”, Chief Augoye to dwell on “Delta Beyond 2023”, while Comrade Mulade will x-ray, “Delta Governorship in 2023 on the basis of Senatorial or Ethnicity?”.

Warri____ ln what it termed as a solidarity movement to sympathize with their senior colleague in the activism struggle for better ljaw nation and Niger Delta in general, the son of the struggle who is now Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Delta State on Security Matters, Comrade Daniel Pere Ezekiel and the Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Political Matters, Comrade Austin Ozobo, has join other well wishers on monday pay a condolence visit to a renowned global Niger Delta born Environmental/Human rights activist cum Philanthropist, High Chief. Comr. Sheriff Blessing Mulade, over the sudden demise of his beloved mother, late. Mrs. Ebikeseye Mulade (nee) Timiyan.
Also in the visit, is one time Delta State House of Assembly aspirant PDP in Burutu North Constituency 2019, Comrade Peres Bibaikefie as well as the CEO/Publisher Niger Delta Mirror news online, Comrade Oyinbi Onduku where among the entourage to condole with chief Mulade.

Speaking during the visit, Comr. Ozobo expressed shock over the death of Mama Ebikeseye Mulade,  saying Mama lived examplary life worthy of emulation. He likened the death of mama Sheriff to that of his late mother in 2019, while he was contesting for Delta State House of Assembly. He urged Chief Mulade to take solace in the word of God, noting that Mama is sleeping in the Lord.

In his condolence message, Onduku charged Mulade to take heart, stressing that Mama has finished her assignment on earth. He further thank God for given Sheriff Mulade to ljaw nation through Mama, adding that what is required now is for the children to sustain the good legacies of Mama as well as to give her a befitting final burial, Onduku stated.

While Prince Bibaikefiye appealed to Chief Mulade to be strong in the Lord, stressing that God giveth and He taketh.

In his reaction, Comrade Ezekiel while sympathizing with Mulade said Mama was a lioness and iroko who gave birth to a lion like him to save Ijaw nation from the Nigeria oppressive government. 

He wished Mama good will and thoughts to continue to be a light in the path of Mulade. He assured Chief Mulade to be on ground comes Friday 26th November, 2021, in order to give him the moral support to lay Mama to eternal rest.

While praying God's uncommon grace to fall on Sheriff Mulade to make greater exploit in his life endeavor, Ezekiel concluded.

In his response, Chief Mulade thanked Ezekiel, Ozobo, Onduku, Bibaikefiye among others for the love shown towards him and his siblings for the visit. He sincerely from the depth of his heart appreciated Ozobo and others for the condolence visit in order to sympathize with him .

Mulade stressed that the desire of us is for our parents to live long in order to enjoy the fruit of their labor. But when man propose, God disposed. 

According to him:" l never expected my mother to leave at this time. Like Onduku said he lost his mother when he was 8, I was just 13 years when l lost my father. Since then It was this my mother that took care of me and my siblings over the past 35years. There was no sign that her little leg pain would led her to  death. I never expected it but God decided and who am l to question God."

" This your visit has strengthened me and my siblings to stay strong. Thank you for the show of love and l sincerely appreciated you people for coming to sympathize with me despite your busy schedules. May God bless you all for your kind gesture," Mulade remarked.

However, the burial of late Mama Ebikeseye Mulade is slated on Friday 26th November, 2021 at Kokodiagbene Community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South-West LGA of Delta State. 


Friends, well wishers and the general public is hereby invited to grace the occasion in order to give mama a befitting final burial rites.
