Hon. Oromoni condoled the families of the victims of the unfortunate death.

The State Commissioner for Power and Energy, Rt. Hon. Basil Ganagana, disclosed that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s policy thrust of ensuring sustainable power supply to all Deltans in towns and villages.
The Commissioner, who stated this in an interview with newsmen in Asaba said, though the provision of power was the responsibility of the Federal Government under the deregulated regime, the State Government had made landmark feats at ensuring that power was accessible to all, including rural dwellers.
Ganagana, said that, as a responsive government, the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led government provided transformers and restored light to many towns and villages as Bomadi, Kiagbodo, Agbarha-Otor, Ubulu-Okiti, Mosogar and Asaba, among others.
He disclosed that, as part of efforts geared towards ensuring improved power in the state, especially in the state capital, government, in partnership with a private company, was constructing an Independent Power Plant (IPP) to power critical government concerns such as the Government House, Secretary to State Government (SSG’s) office, Cabinet office, Head of Service, DTHA, sports centre etc, adding that the project would be ready soon.
While saying that vandalization of power installations was a big challenge to stable power supply, Ganagana regretted the inability of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) to adequately provide power to Deltans despite the huge efforts of government at all times to help out when needs arose.
Ganagana said government could have done more in the power sector but for the challenge posed by the novel coronavirus that has resulted in cutting down of the year’s budget by various states and the Federal Government.

We Are Ready To Fight To Get Our Rightful Job Slots - Warri Escravos And Forcados Youths Warn OMS, Captain Hosa.
Wilson Macaulay
An economic crisis that will cripple the oil sector is imminent in the oil rich Warri Escravos and Forcados (Burutu) axises of Delta State as the youth body aleged that Ocean Marine Solutions Limited, OMS, deliberately ignored the call by the Leadership of the Central Youth Body, Kingdoms and Subcommunities in Warri Escravos and Forcados for a dialogue and peaceful resolutions of their demands.
A Press Statement issued to Journalists in Warri yesterday, June 22, 2020 reads:
"The youths in the Central, Kingdoms, and subcommunities in Escravos and Forcados in Warri South West and Burutu LGAs, respectively have been pushed to the wall by Captain Hosa Okunbor and Ocean Marine Solutions Limited (OMS), which is in charge of the contract of the surveillance guards along Pipeline Right of Way (PRoW) in Warri Escravos and Forcados.
"The OMS General Manager, Chartering Operations, Mr. Olabode Isijola lied to 'the Vanguard Newspaper' reporter who contacted him on this issue, said that the company allowed individuals communities to speak for themselves without specifically addressing the issues raised by the youths.
"We have taken several peaceful steps for Captain Hosa Okunbor and his Management in OMS to dialogue with us and give us our rightful job slots, but it has become clear to us that Captain Hosa and OMS do not understand a peaceful language and our call for justice and equity; the only language they understand is violence, which we are going to give to them.
"We are also informing the oil companies within Warri Escravos and Forcados jurisdictions that the grace period given to Ocean Marine Solutions Limited to dialogue with us has expired, and the world will hear the consequences of Ocean Marine Solutions Limited for sidelining the youth's rightful employment slots.
"Captain Hosa Okunbor and his Management should be held responsible for fuelling the impending danger in the petroleum industry, which will affect Nigeria's economy badly.
"OMS has no right and wherewither to short-change the youths in PRoW and tell lies to cow us down for agitating for our legitimate job slots.
"We are appealing once again to the Inspector General of Police and President Muhammadu Buhari to order different security agencies, as well as the Economy and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC to investigate the dubious activities of Ocean Marine Solutions Limited in the Warri Escravos and Forcados (Burutu), because we will no longer tolerate the illicit activities of OMS against the youths and our environment.
"We are also informing the Government of Delta State, the Minister for Petroleum and the Minister for Environment that the peaceful youths of Warri Escravos and Forcados have kept to their promise of maintaining peace in the creeks despite the fact that Captain Hosa Okunbor and his Management in OMS have been sidelining the youths in the PRoW job slots since 2017 the contract was awarded to OMS, but we are ready to use all means to get our job slots in no distance time."

COVID-19: Ask God For Mercy And Seek His Face ln This Perilous Time, Evang. Peresine Tells Nigerians
COVID-19: Ask God For Mercy And Seek His Face ln This Perilous Time, Evang. Peresine Tells Nigerians
Wilson Macaulay
A call has been made by Peresine Watchman for Nigerians to stop panicking over the corona virus pandemic in Nigeria and the world. He admonished Nigerians to humble themselves and ask God for mercy and put their trust in Him alone to conquer the pandemic disease.
Peresine made this call through his verified Twitter account on Sunday, June 28, 2020, stating that fear had affected and killed people psychologically but those who seek the face of God would always overcome this perilous time.
His statement reads:
"If this Corona Virus continues to spread in the world and international flights are being restricted from carrying out operations till the end of the year 2020, then many Nigeria's Leaders who always go to foreign countries for medical treatment will die of the ailments that always take them abroad, except God shows them mercy.
"As Covid-19 affects the poor in a poorer way, the rich, (especially those who have stolen public funds and those who are still stealing public funds to the detriment of Nigeria and the Nigerian populace), are also being prevented by Covid-19 from traveling abroad for medical reasons...
"It's unreasonable for any Leader to still think of stealing public funds to accumulate unnecessary wealth for his/her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as late Sani Abacha did, instead of using such funds to build World-class Hospitals in all the States and the Headquarters of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria, and standard cottage Hospitals or befiting Health Centres in all communities and villages.
"Nigerian government as a matter of necessity, should carry out measures to fumigate every part of the country, to eliminate diease causing insects like mosquitoes, etc, and provide portable waters in the cities and rural areas, for both the poor and the rich to have a healthy living.
"I also use this medium to advise Governments at the Federal and State levels to create job opportunities for the youths, make business friendly policies and create the enabling environment for businesses to boom.
"Nigerians, especially those who refuse to learn a lesson from Covid-19 outbreak, and are still stealing funds meant for infrastructural and human capital developments should realize that God's judgement awaits everyone for the seed one sows.
"There is no doubt, Nigerians have often times abused the privilege given to them by God to make choices. Instead of making the right choices, we make wrong choices, because we never cared to involve God in our decision making proceses - in politics and in governance.
"Government officials should genuinely involve God in governance and always ask God for divine direction; they should govern the people with the fear of God in their plans, actions and deeds.
"Nigerians should also humble themselves and ask God for mercy, to save the nation from this predicament Nigeria is into, and for Him to always lead us alright to make the right choices in choosing progressive and patrotic Nigerians as political leaders at the National, State and Local Government levels.
"It saddens my heart that the Government across the globe has so much believe in sciences and medicine to overcome this pandemic disease but fails to realize that God can eliminate this virus in a day. They echoed and have been re-echoing the scientific and medical guidelines and precautionary measures for one to take in order not to be infested with the virus without including God's precautionary measures and guidelines, as the figures keep increasing daily.
"I believe strongly that what kills and affects someone psychologically is fear, and fear is something one believes that exists even if that thing does not actually exist; what you believe that does not exist cannot kill or affect you even if it truly exists. It's high time Nigerian governments at all levels realized this and involve God's guidelines to conquer the existing unexisting Covid-19 in the country."
Edo Guber Race: Tinubu Urges Adams Oshiomole To Return Home And Rally Round Support For Ize-lyamu
Edo Guber Race: Tinubu Urges Adams Oshiomole To Return Home And Rally Round Support For Ize-lyamu
Francis Tayor
The former Governor of Lagos State and The National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, speaks for the first time on the ongoing crisis in the party. In his reaction, he believed the current crisis impede the performance of the dissolved National Working Committee (NWC) and also affected the unity and coordination of the party.
He lauded President Buhari’s decision in dissolving the National Working Committee and appealed to all members of APC to accept it. He believes President Buhari has done what a parent in his position and with his authority would do. So, Tinubu said, “It is now beholden on all of us, as members of the APC, to recommit ourselves to the ideals and principles on which our party was founded.”
More so, he appreciated the composure, loyalty, and obedience of Adams Oshiomole, the former National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), to the party and the President. He emphasized that Oshiomole has a more significant role to play in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.
He charged Oshiomole to return to the state and rally round Ize-Iyamu, the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State. He told him to energize the campaign that will enable Ize-Iyamu to be elected as Edo State Governor comes September, 2020.
If Adams Oshomhole will gather himself to Edo, raise Ize lyamu hands for Edo people to choose as their governor and Edo people will clap hands for him. one will say wonders shall never cease to happen. The same Ize--lyamu he croscified yesterday will be Edo savior today is a great misnomer. Edo people are waiting for Adams to answer some questions when Ize--lyamu has become a saint to govern Edo people. 419 is a deadly concept. If I were in Adams shoes I will never campaign for Ize- lyamu. how will I start? There should be level of self integrity. When such is lacking katakata and wahala go de follow you up and down..Edo people shine your eyes.We know you will.
