The Group Heroes of Ijaw Nation Research Center (HINREC) honours the digital Managing Director/CEO NDDC, Chief Dr. Samuel Ogboku as HERO of IJAW NATION.

In the words of Harvey S. Firestone, "The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership" and that is a apt and vivid description of the Ijaw hero.

This award comes as a result of his leadership role through the years as one of the darling historical personalities who has brought Regional Stability and Peace to the Niger Delta. Subsequently also,  as the Managing Director/ CEO of NDDC, his leadership has recorded incredible milestones of tremendous success in terms of human capital development, infrastructural dividends, like Operation Light up the Niger Delta Region where every community is a beneficiary with countless numbers of Solar energy. 

The Group which membership cuts across the Niger Delta States commend the Managing Director for his patriotic zeal for his many youth empowerment programmes and initiatives, and as a leader whose voice is heard when he calls, again his leadership acumen was played out when he uses his influence to curb the looming dangers and violence that was imminent in the recent national protest. His proactiveness shows that there is need for the Niger Delta to stay in the same page with the President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, that better days are coming, and it is already here as the country witnessed in no delay the new development of the Digital Jobs creation/ Skills Acquisition programmes from he President, an action one could describe as fatherly and timely.

The Group also honoured the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the prestigious ( FRIEND OF THE IJAW NATION AWARD (FINA )for appointing illustrious sons and daughters of the Ijaw Nation into key positions in his government. 'No President ever in the history of this country has demonstrated such love towards our ethnic nationality like him' asserted the Group President Gesikeme Akparakata a author and prolific writer.

In their effort and love for their country, the group appeals and sues for peace amidst the protest in every part of the nation, that peace and dialogue is the only way for a smooth and civilised setting of people as factor for harmonious living.

Once again, the group prays God to  give our leader Dr. Samuel Ogbuku the strength to finish strong in office, for the posterity of our people lies with such leaders like him.  And as we look into the next generation, the plights of the people will be greatly affected with his  human empowerments.
