Bayelsa Guber: Southern Ijaw Leaders Shuns Their Son David Lyon For Diri, Give Reasons For Endorsing PDP Candidate For Governor, Says APC To Pay For Killing Their Sons
Francis Tayor
Yenagoa____The Political leaders of Southern Ijaw, home local government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, David Lyon have declared total support for PDP candidate Sen Douye Diri for governor, stressing that the APC would pay for the killing of their sons during the National Assembly elections in February, 2019.
They said that months after the PDP ward leader in Oweikorogha, Seidougha Taribi and a Government House photographer, Reginald Dei were shot dead by soldiers on the orders of APC leaders in the area, nobody has been brought to book.
Chief Temple Ogidi who accused APC leader in the state and Minister of Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva of making deliberate attempts to set the LGA on fire, declared that Southern Ijaw people would not allow themselves to be swayed by sentiments and vote for any other party other than the PDP.
He said Chief Sylva’s attempt to field a candidate from SILGA was a deliberate attempt to portray the people of Southern Ijaw as ingrates who do not want other local government areas that constitute the senatorial zone from producing a governor.
He said that the choice for Senator Douye Diri as the governor from Kolokuma/ Opokuma was a divine one, stressing that it would have amounted to greed if Southern Ijaw had allowed her size and strength to oppress and marginalise other LGAs from the zone in the state.
“We have had enough of our youths being killed as a result of election related violence, especially during the last Presidential and NASS election. We do not subscribe to the use of Southern Ijaw as militants’ zone where guns and bullets are used as first resort to development.”
The state chairman of the PDP, Mr. Cleopas Moses said the APC lacks presence to win any election in the state.
The chairman said APC is noted for violence and brigandage, adding that the party did not prepare for the forthcoming election but is looking for how to secure victory through the back door and with the connivance of the agencies of the Federal Government.
The Chief of Staff, Government House, Yenagoa and Chairman, Southern Ijaw PDP Caucus, Talford Ongolo, has called on youths and the people of Southern Ijaw LGA to embrace peaceful, free and fair election without any form of violence. Ongolo made the call during the PDP rally in his hometown, Oporoma, the headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government Council.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Talford Ongolo expressed dismay over some negative comments against Gov. Henry Dickson-led PDP Restoration Government by some individuals because of politics.
Ongolo, a former governorship aspirant, who noted that the PDP government in the state has done so much for the people of Southern Ijaw called on all his supporters and the good people of Oporoma and Constituency ll to continue their unflinching support for the PDP and massively vote for Senator Diri and Ewhrudjakpo Lawrence in the forthcoming
election.

Just In : Delta-North Leaders Passes Vote Of Confidence On Olorogun (Barr) Kenneth Gbagi For Governor 2023, As Sen. Osakwe, Chief Elue Urges Delta Central and Urhobos to Stick Together
Jennifer Dafiovo
The leaders of the Delta North Senatorial District have passed votes of confidence on Olorogun (BARR) Kenneth O. Gbagi (FNIM) for the governorship position of Delta State come 2023. In a series of consultation visits paid to the homes of elder statesmen and political juggernauts in Delta North politics, from the distinguished Senator Patrick Osakwe, His Royal Majesty, Obi Emmanuel O. Efeizomor II, the Obi of Owa Kingdom, Elder John Nwagimejen and Chief Benjamin S. C. Elue, former Deputy Governor, Delta State.
At each of these four places, accompanied by a crowd of supporters, a crowd so large and impressive that each of the elder statesmen commented on its size, Olorogun Gbagi made known his intention to run for governor come 2023, while appealing to the statesmen for their support and prayers. Addressing the different congregations, Olorogun Gbagi reminded them how he is a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, and with no history of defection. “As at today, I am the oldest living member of PDP that wants to be a governor. We collectively agree that a lot of work still needs to be done in the state. My friend, my brother, the leader of the party in the state has done so much. I seek your understanding; I seek your fatherly guidance, come 2023 when our amiable governor will be exiting, and given that agreement and plan you and I had.”
“We had an agreement. We started PDP in Delta State 1998/1999, and when it started, it started from Central, where we had one of ours as governor for eight years. When he finished, it went to the Delta South Senatorial District. Naturally, with the understanding we had, it came to the North afterwards, and by his grace, the governor today emerged. Once he finishes, it will come back to Central. We all, as founders of this party, we have an understanding that the governorship of the state will rotate among the three senatorial districts. I am an industrialist, I am a businessman. My success stories are there for anybody to search. I am blemishless, I have no excess luggage that will impair my speed and character to develop this state.”
Senator Osakwe, who was described as the gateway to Ndokwa nation in his reply, commended Olorogun Gbagi saying that he had taken the right step. “I have said it before, that the rotation, nobody can stop it. But you know we have a party leader, and at the end of the day, the leaders will meet and take a decision.”
Addressing Olorogun Gbagi’s supporters, Senator Osakwe said, “You are selling a good market, a very good marketable commodity. Therefore, it is left for Central to reconcile themselves in order not to split votes. But, we Ndokwa people, we go one way. You have my blessing; and the blessings of the Ndokwa people. But be very mindful; you Urhobo people should come together and don’t share your votes. But as far as Senator Patrick Osakwe is concerned, Central should produce our next governor.”
His Royal Majesty, Obi Emmanuel O. Efeizomor II, the Obi of Owa Kingdom appreciated the early flag off and declared that he and his people wouldn’t forget those who had supported their son, the incumbent governor to come to, and remain in power, and it would be only just to reciprocate accordingly. He encouraged the Olorogun’s supporters to remain steadfast in their support. The Obi called upon God for divine blessings to make a successful venture. “We know enough of the politics of Delta State. We know enough of those who will contest and I will not be surprised if by tomorrow, such names come up again saying they want to contest. Even when they lose, they will go to court, because they must do what they are used to. While our son was fighting for this position, we know those who helped, and we have taken record of the way every other person helped. So, my appeal to you is that you should maintain the level of dignity, respect and cordiality of your friendship with His Excellency.”
"Our prayer is that he will land well, and end well. In other words, anybody who is seeking this position must help him to end well. I think that is the premise of which many of his supporters and admirers and those of us who have a special kind of relationship with him will operate when the bell rings. Those who continue to assist him, we will not forget when the time comes."
In his country home, Elder John Nwagimejen of Agbor Community prayed for the grace of life till 2023 when he hopes that the Gbagi dream will be realised. He assured the house of the reliability of their word. “Ika South will listen to you. For as long as you keep coming, because you are going to have to keep coming here, we will continue to listen to you."
Chief Benjamin Elue, whose Obior country home was the last, but by no means, not the least port of call welcomed Olorogun Gbagi and his team with such exuberance, it was contagious. His fatherly and amiable mien was unmistakable as he addressed the assembly. “Telling me that my friend sitting here, with all his pedigree and his records, that he cannot be a governor, na lie o! He can handle it. He is capable. I do not think that people here would tell any other person coming from other areas not to contest. But because we are very disciplined, we would think about it and consider whether the person is towing our line of equity and justice. We from this part of the state are very orderly. It is not to a fault that we are orderly but it’s what will follow, what God can bless. You just don’t have to play with politics in everything. Go back to strengthen politics in Urhobo land. In the UPU, you have a great force to mobilise your people and I will advise that you should do this without rancour and I pray that the other party or parties should give PDP a chance on a very peaceful platform for the next election. Use the platform of your ambition to keep PDP as one till the end.”
At every compound Olorogun Gbagi made a call, there was a crowd of supporters from the community to greet and welcome him. Deserving of notice were the women dressed in colourful attires, who greeted the Olorogun and his team with smiles, songs, and a general air of good cheer.
Also in attendance at the various venues were Dr. Nelson Ejakovi, Chief Oviri Ovis, Chief Kenneth Okocha, Chief Promise Obioho, Chief Samuel Okunwa, Chief Augustine Elekwe, Chief Nkecho Okpokiri, Chief Onyewiri Okoh, Chief Ifeanyi Anwulika, Chief Edo Okpofukoro, Chief Thompson Eweri (JP), Hon. Fred Ofume, Chief Emmanuel Aworo, Lady Peace Etetekie, Princess Doris Ejinyere, Mrs Linda Ukuwrere, Mrs Gloria Okunbor among others.

OML40, Belief-Gbene Community In Egbema Kingdom Writes Delta State Governor Okowa Over NPDC/ELCREST Oil Company Refusal To Pay Them Compensational Funds And Other Benefits
The Office Of Commisioner, Oil and Gas Delta State, Asaba.
Prince Emman Ambgaduba.
Sir,
Acts of deprivation, oppression that could lead to breach of peace in OML40, Egbema Kingdom in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.
We the entire members and executives of BELIEF-GBENE COMMUNITY hereby write to draw the attention of your esteemed office over the unbearable, lingering and unacceptable oppression and injustice meted out on our dear community which is one of the biggest host communities that has been intentionally and unjustifiably excluded to benefit supposed oil proceeds in OML40 over the years particularly in the ongoing Dredging, Drilling, Pipleline Installation and Exploration Job/Process in OML40.
We took our time to write to your performing office as we have written series of letters to the Oil Committee Set up to take care of all host communities where the job is taking place but all to no avail including the companies NPDC/ELCREST handling the project and the leadership of Polobubou and Opuama communities.
The most saddest of it; is the invasion and encroachment, intentional denial of our community (Belief-Gbene) host community right and necessary benefits of the on going dredging, drilling, pipeline installation and exploration job/process at OML40 NPDC/ELCREST which has direct impact on our dear community since march 2019.
Our honorable commissioner sir, we are using this medium to inform your office and also register our total displeasure over the undescribable act of oppression and denial of our dear community right as others are already benefiting and we don't know what could be the reason over this internal and external marginalization.
However, such act of excluding our community being one of the biggest host communities in 0ML40 that have been uncomfortably affected by the direct impact of her operations; negates the fundamental principal of equality as enshrined in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Commisioner sir, our demand is that of fairness, egalitarianism, justice and the right to be compensated by companies operating in our village without discussing with us and be treated as host community. As law abiding citizens, we don't want to take the laws into our hands, hence we write for your swift action before it degenerate into something else.
We will no longer accept neither allow any further operations and payment of funds by NPDC/ELCREST OML40 pending till BELIEF-GBENE is given her necessary benefits and right.
We want to also commend you for making the office of the honourable commissioner for Oil and Gas, Delta State more active compared to previous era, just few month upon assuming the office, you have done a lot for our people by avoiding chaos between host communities and multinational oil companies.
Conclusively, we know that our honourable commissioner is a man positioned by God in that office to deliver justice for the oppressed by doing what is right, we are therefore hoping for a swift intervention where everyone will be treated equally. A stitch in time they say saves nine.
Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.

IPDI To Gov Dickson, Ijaw Nation Will Be Disappointed If You Fails To Conduct INC Polls Before Leaving Office, List Three Conditions For Ijaw Nation To Forgive Him
Francis Tayor
WARRI____The Ijaw People's Development Initiative, IPDI has said that Ijaw Nation would be disappointed If Mr. Seriake Dickson, the governor of Bayelsa State fails to conduct free, fair and credible Ijaw National Congress, INC, elections before leaving office by early next year.
The group, through its national president Hon. Comrade Ozobo Austin made this known at press time, while given reason the group declined from proscribing INC as earlier vowed.
The activist told the Press that the group declined from proscribing INC due to a serious appeal and intervention of some respected Ijaw Monarchs, traditional chiefs and political leaders.
Ozobo reemphasized that Governor Seriake Dickson may be seen as the worst governor that may had ever ruled Bayelsa state if he fails to correct the many sins he had committed against Ijaw nation.
The group added that Dickson's roles in the disrupted INC election had already reduced the confidence reposed on him by Ijaw nation.
The group revealed that equally the gods and ancestors of Ijaw nation were angry with Seriake Dickson over donation of Ijaw land for killer herdsmen, nomination of Uhrobo as deputy governor in the only Ijaw state, inability to unite Ijaw nation and his roles in the inconlusive INC election in Bayelsa state as self-acclaimed governor general of Ijaw nation.
The group also accused Dickson of creating bad public impressions that Bayelsa State belongs to Ijaw and Uhrobo; and that the move is inimical and most disappointing.
Ozobo explained that Ijaw was bigger than Dickson Seriake selfish interests and that every attempt to blindfold Ijaw nation into supporting Seriake Dickson personal agenda would be resisted.
The group noted that except INC inconclusive elections be conducted and completed, Ijaw land donated to killer herders revoked and Ijaw man be renominated as running mate to PDP standard bearer in the Bayelsa state gubernatorial elections slated for early November, Dickson will be seen as a betrayer , opportunitist and gold digger in Ijaw nation.

WARRI____The Ijaw People's Development Initiative, IPDI ,worldwide has said it will not rest until the killers of late Taylor Agofugha was brought to justice as it accuses governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and security apparatus of trivializing the senseless killing of Taylor Agofugha by some Aladja youths, an issue which it described as capable of snowballing into another communal conflict between the two communities.
The group in a statement by its national Secretary, Comrade Emma Keneware added that the death of late Taylor would not be in vain, except the culprits are apprehended and brought to justice, it would not view the matter from criminal perspectives.
Emma averred that the governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and Security Agents failure to unmasked the suspected neighbourhood killers of slain Taylor after 7days of his death was suspicious and meant to glorify the supposed criminals.
The group stressed that the silent of governor Okowa on Taylor murder does not serves the best interest of the public, as such could mean given consent to evil and open support against goodwill.
The activist, noted that except the culprits be used as scapegoats, What he described as senseless killing of law-abiding people in Ogbe-Ijoh would continue.
The group pointed out that the killing of Taylor by some trigger_happy youths of Aladja community violates the peace accord reached between the two communities and that the fray nerves can only be calmed when the culprits were punished for their heinous crime, the statement adds.

......The Government should Carryout the Punishments Due to Violators in the Agreed Terms of the Peace Accord Signed By Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja Communities.
~The Government Should do Justice to Hon. Taylor Who Was Killed by Aladja Youths.
Warri____ The Chairman of Ijaw Youth Council IYC, Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom has called on the Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to as a matter of urgency fish out the Aladja Youths behind the recent attack and the killing of Hon. Taylor Agofugha of Ogbe-Ijoh last week Tuesday, right in front of his home in the community.
Amb. Okosu acuses governor Okowa for not been fair to Ogbe-Ijoh people, stressing that it is unjust for over five days of Aladja Youths gruesome murder of their son, Delta state government has not done anything to fish out the perpetrators, neither punish Aladja community for violating the sieze fire Peace Accord agreement signed by both communities before the government.
Amb. Okosu stated this in a Press Release dated 19th October, 2019 stressed that, governor Okowa is behind Aladja community for his lukewarm attitude toward apprehending the killers of Hon Taylor Agofugha, after the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon Jite Brown has revealed the identity of those boys that committed the atrocity on Tuesday 15th October, 2019 noon at Ogbe-Ijoh.
Accoding to the Press Release read; " The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Ogbe-ijoh Warri Kingdom expresses her disappointment in the Delta State Government led by His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for being unfair to the Ogbe-Ijoh people in this communal crisis; and for not discharging constitutional responsibilities.
Today is the fifth day Hon.Taylor Williams Ogofugha was killed by Aladja youth at his compound in Ogbe-Ijoh,
opposite the Warri South West Secretariat.
It is so unjust that untill this moment the Government has never done anything to punish Aladja community for violating the seize fire order which was agreed and duly signed by both communities and the Government.
Having known the truth that it was the Aladja Youths who attacked and killed Hon. Taylor Williams Ogofugha on Tuesday October 15, 2019 at his compound in Ogbe-ijoh, which was also confessed by Mr. Jite Brown, Executive Chairman, Udu Local Government Area and leaders of Aladja Community; still the government failed to do what is just.
The nonchalant attitude of the government is a clear indication that they are the engine room behind Aladja Community so whatever unlawful act they committed will be unpunished.
There can be no peace without justice. Therefore, the government should do justice to the dead of our beloved brother, Hon. Taylor who was killed by the Aladja youths on Tuesday 15th October, 2019."

Warri____ The ljaw Interest Advocate (IIA) group has send a powerful message to NPDC/ELCREST Oil Companies operating in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, to a matter of urgency address the issue of marginalization of Belief-Gbene Community, which is one of the host communities in the ongoing oil pipeline installation/dredging and drilling project in the area.
The group in a Press Statement signed by its National Secretary, Comrade Ebolo Sam, stressed that the deliberate exclusion of Belief-Gbene Community as one of the host communities by NPDC/ELCREST to benefit from the compensational funds, as well as job opportunities in the ongoing projects from the oil companies will distort the already existing peace in Egbema Kingdom and metropolis, hence the urgent need to amicably resolve the issues is panacea to peace.
According to the Press Statement read; " An injustice to one Ijaw community is an Injustice to all, having accepted the philosophical statement we call on the management of NPDC/ELCREST to quickly give what belongs to the Belief-gbene to the peace loving indigenes.
The deliberate exclusion of belief-gbene community as one of the host communities will only distort the already existing peace in Egbema kingdom and metropolis, hence the urgent need to amicably resolve the issues is panacea to peace.
We are reliably informed that several letters were sent on this regards to the company's, non of this letters has yielded result. Instead they're planing on their next move for further works which cannot be accepted anymore.
We know that the path of progress never taken a straight line, but has always been a zigzag course amidst the conflicting forces of right and wrongs, truth and error. Justice and injustice. Cruelty and mercy. Hence we hope that the collective sensibility of the people in Belief-gbene community should not be taking for granted anymore for any reason whatsoever.
The actions and inaction of IOC’s operation in our oil rich kingdom is no longer healthy to us especially the way and manner the host communities are treated. The crude at the back yard of grand parents are ceaselessly exploited to beautify areas that never produce a drop oil. What an injustice. Enough is enough, this time around we will join the peace loving people of belief-Gbene community to fight the battle to the end.
We are bold to state that we will not fold our arms and watch one of our communities in Ijaw been deprived of their right; to benefit from the installation and exploration job/process at NPDC/ELCREST OML40. Shall Follow up with them to make sure they are recognize as impacted community as well as enjoy whatever benefit coming in regards of the on going project.
On a conclusive note we call the Honorable Commissioner of Oil and Gas, Delta State, Hon. Emmanuel Amgbaduba and other relevant authorities to swing into action now before the issue shift to another level that might be hard to quench, the statement adds."

Presidential Amnesty Programme: Protesters Block South-West Road, Urge Dokubo To Pay Ezonebi, Call On President Buhari, DSS, NSA To Wade lnto The Matter

The delegates of the Ezonebi training centre, on Wednesday protested over the non-payment of their coordinator, Enetimi Evah Ezonebi.
The delegates blocked the southwest road in the early hours of today, demanding the Presidential Amnesty Office to make payments to their coordinator for jobs completed.
They also appealed to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, National Security Adviser (NSA) and the DSS to call Professor Charles Dokubo to make payments to their coordinator for jobs completed in June 10, 2019.
The delegates all came out to protest today to show their disapproval of the non-payment of their coordinator for the training programme they all attended at Lagos for a duration of six months, they further mentioned that their coordinator, Enetimi Evah was a blessing and the centre changed their lives for the better. The coordinator ensured they were equipped with the right skills and all they needed to transform their mentality.
At the graduation ceremony held in Lagos in June 2019, they were awarded cash gift and they are yet to receive the gift as a result of the non-payment. They are also unable to receive their TIN number, which is outstanding. They are protesting in order to collect what is due to them.
They further mentioned that, if payment are not made quickly, they will go back to the creek and create unrest in the Niger Delta. They want the DSS to assist in making the payment process effective to avoid them going back to the creek. They also vowed that if they go back to the creek, Professor Charles Dokubo should be arrested as he is to be blamed for this, not them.
One of the delegates Melakpo marvelous (leather work) said “The Amnesty Office used our madam and gave her technical knockout, because Professor Charles Dokubo came for flag up at Ezonebi training centre , he also attended or mid training beach activity at Landmark and is aware of the progress we have made, which makes the way she is being treated bad.
They used Ezonebi training centre and projected accomplishments to Nigeria in an elaborate graduation ceremony held at the Eko hotel Lagos in June, 2019.
To us, we see this act as a technical knockout, as she has tried to get her outstanding payment from the office since June, but is yet to receive it and in addition she has been restricted from getting into the office to process her payment. This is merely an act of wickedness from the office to a dedicated contractor.”
Another delegate, Madam Hilter, who was the best delegate in fashion works said “ When she called our coordinator (Enetimi Evah) to redeem her cash gift, she was in tears and asked that I exercised patience as the office had not made payment to her.”
According to some of the delegates who were trained in Information Technology, they are yet to be empowered, they are very angry about it. They have protested earlier at Silverbird television station Lagos as regards the instant empowerment allegedly promised by Dokubo.
They further mentioned that the training centre was more of a rehabilitation facility for them, they were so lucky to have been posted there, as no other training centre was so interested in their growth and overall success. The coordinator was even awarded an excellence award by the Presidential Amnesty Office at their graduation in June,2019. She is a mother to all.
“We are requesting the amnesty office to make payments to her within the next two weeks, or we would be forced to go back to the creek to create unrest in the Niger Delta.
This woman has trained more than 300 delegates in the Niger Delta, to mobilize ourselves and fund any protest is nothing to us, her JOY is our JOY, WE WILL NOT ALLOW HER TO CRY again, if she sheds tears again in respect to the payments, we will fight to the end.
We urge President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration to take necessary actions in ensuring contractors (Coordinators) are paid as they impact positively to our lives and the Niger Delta.

Ojobo is one of the renown communities in Ijaw land. It is well known and recognised by most personalities in Ijaw land and other tribes in Delta State. The famous Zuokumo primary school and Gbesa Memorial Grammar School which is now known as Gbess Grammar School have produced great men in Burutu, Delta State and Nigeria at large. The Ojobo man or woman is always proud of their community with the appellation " ene Ojobo ke ene Ojobo".
They first embraced education before most other towns in Ijaw land. But these story is turning the other way round because members of this community can no longer boast of any meaningful development in the community due to neglect by the state government and SHELL who operate a divide and rule game.
The structures in Gbesa Grammar school, Zuokumor Primary school are all fallen. No adequate teachers, lack of science labs, no library, no portable drinking water, etc. The only Government hospital around the Boloutoru where our sick parents who cannot afford the expensive private clinics had been abandoned to decay. No road, no light, no skill acquisition centre for our teaming youths whom they said the leaders of tomorrow.
Delta State Government should look into Ojobo community and other riverine communities passing through the same fate with us. SHELL on it part with its divide and rule game had continued to keep the community in total darkness. We told them to give us gas turbine light and they agreed to connect us to our oil flow station but till today no way. Government should prevail on SHELL to as a matter of urgency connect the community to the BENISEIDE OIL FLOW STATION for constant light.
Call Aladja Community To Order, Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Tells Gov Okowa, Urges Him To Implement The White Paper Of Panel Of Enquiry For Peace To Reign
Ewein Ambassador
Warri____ Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom has urged Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Security agencies to call Aladja, their neighbors, to order over an alleged unprovoked attacks.
The attacks on Ogbe-Ijoh Community allegedly by Aladja community, took place last Sunday and in the early hours of Monday that led to the death of Taylor Agofugha in a cold blood.
An Ogbe-Ijoh Youth leader and title holder, Chief Monday Keme, in a statement made available to journalists in Warri on Monday, expressed worries that in spite of efforts made to keep the peace in the area, Aladja people still embark on unprovoked attacks on Ogbe-Ijoh. He called on the Okowa led Government to commence without delay, the implementation of the white paper of the panel of enquiry set up to look into the boundary dispute rocking the two neighboring communities.
We are worried that Aladja community despite concerted efforts by well-meaning individuals in ensuring sustained peace in the last 19 months between the two communities has continued to undermined such efforts with their continuous attacks on the peace loving people of Ogbe-Ijoh.
We therefore, call on the federal Government to prevail on the Delta State Government to Implement the white paper on the boundary dispute between the two communities constituted by the Okowa led Delta State Government. We are also disturbed that since the submission of the white paper to the Government of Delta State, he has not demonstrated true commitment as a way of implementing it which will put an end to the countless attacks and killings.
" The failure of Delta State Government in enforcing its decision on the boundary has equally put security personnel on tide concern. If Government decision on the boundary dispute is made public as a way of releasing the white paper, Security personnel can then apprehend the trouble makers and prosecute them accordingly, Chief Keme stated."

Just last two months, the Delta State government peace committee invited both community leaders to sign a peace pact, in which both communities agreed to lay down their arms to embrace peace and live as one. It was unfortunately that, the Aladja people breach the peace deal and took us unaware came to murder our son in a cold blood this week Tuesday without thinking otherwise. We are mourning in sorrow and pain, because our late son Taylor was the bread winner of the Agofugha family. We also want the Delta state government to share the disputed land between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh for permanent peace to reign in our communities. If Governor Okowa fail to resolve this matter once and for all, whatever happens henceforth, the world should hold Delta state government responsible for any consequence, the statement adds."
However, in his reaction, the SSA Comrade Daniel Ezekiel thank the family and the peace loving people of Ogbe-ljoh for their understand over the gruesome murder of their son, especially by not embarking on reprisal attack against their Aladja counterpart.
