Comrade Oromoni Marks His Birthday With Philippic Words, Prays For Nigeria

Comrade Oromoni Marks His Birthday With Philippic Words, Prays For Nigeria

One grey hair that sprout out amidst the total sum up of black hair is significant to the mystery of human age and to which symbolizes the magnitude of days forfeited by nature, even as man approaches his end. Hence, grey hairs are more or less like diamonds that blinks in the dark that can not be hid.

If one should deny his/her age, how then you can deny the wrinkles when it surfaces? Age is a number, "Yes" but those numbers are so priceless that, they can not be bought over.

Barr. S. Smooth, a veteran Ijaw indigenous singer once reiterated in one of his song saying, " one who lives to see his/her days of grey hair have live well though he/she will still have to die one day. To this vain, I hope this saying is not far distorting as synonymous to my point portrayed above?

Having said this, I must say even tho, I still revolve around my early 30s I'm a man of grey hair now.

Most significantly as my birthday coincide with the beautiful festive day, the first day of the year, I can not even deny the joy that overflows and even that joy is were I key into that, It is not me if I will not flourish in every turns of life, divine health, abundance of wealth, Solomonic wisdom and many more blessings not to mention in Jesus name Amen.

Let me as well use this privilege to pray for my country Nigeria that, from the beginning of this day been the first day of the year God "Jehovah" shall by himself rule through the heart of man " those of our leaders globally, nationally and locally" for peace, progress and development. May God also send his angels of peace upon every conflicting part of the world and our country as well to breath a breathe of peace for peace to take its place and finally God shall imbibe in every individuals in our country a heart of love and to be a patriotic compatriot in Jesus name Amen.

Okowa's Aide, Ozobo Urges Delta Youths to Embrace Entrepreneur, Vocational Skills

Okowa's Aide, Ozobo Urges Delta Youths to Embrace Entrepreneur, Vocational Skills

Asaba_____ National President of Ijaw People's Development Initiative, Comrade Ozobo Austin, doubles as Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on political matters has urged youths in Ojobo and Tamigbe communities in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State to be good ambassadors and be innovative to foster societal development in their respective Communities.

Ozobo made the statement on Wednesday in both communities on the occasion of Tamigbe students convention and Ojobo youths sensitization programmes , tagged" The Role of Youths As Leaders of Tomorrow" and " Rebranding Ojobo youth mindsets through strategic engagement and enhance security".

According to him many of the present day youths in the society have lost ideals on how to be productive and make positive change through science and technology that would encouraged development.

He expressed grievance that during the days of yore parents work assidiously to provide for their families despite excruciating economic challenges.

" my heart bleed when I see youths of nowadays engaging in cyber crime and other form of illegal means to earn through the wrong means, some don't want to showcase their natural talent anymore. Majority of the youths today have this mentality of " I will make money quick through any means possible" which have lead them to early grave, during the old glorious days parents work under the rain and sun to care for their families, those that are privileged to obtain degrees and those that are specialized in various skills, engaging in menial jobs to provide for family, but today is not so, what goes wrong?, you need to be creative, be productive, you're the leaders of tommorow, not thugs to cause havoc during electioneering, not cyber criminal, see yourself as ambassador of peace and development, embrace education which is the key to success"

The Niger Delta activist also called on government at all levels to be responsible in engaging the youths to  shun crime and be productive, noting that political office holders are not doing enough in the aspect of skill acquisition programme and entrepreneurship as measures to better the lives of the young youths, adding that religious leaders had roles to play to eradicate the rampant rates of social vices.

" If government at all levels are responsible enough to do the needful by providing an enabling working environment for the youths, I believe there would be growth in the society,  government should create empowerment programmes and job opportunity for the youths to be gainfully employed in specialized areas.

He went further "our religious leaders also have their part to play, the rampant rates of rape, drug abuse, cultism and theft becoming worse in our societies today. Our leaders should preach against it, caution the youths about the consequences of crime, I believe if everyone come together to do the needful the rate of social vices would reduce and the social environment would be a better place for all and sundry", he said.

Just-ln: Obotebe PDP Aspirants Protest Against Takeme Younger Brother lmposition

Just-ln: Obotebe PDP Aspirants Protest Against Takeme Younger Brother lmposition

....... Urge Gov. Okowa, Esiso To Call Takeme To Order

Francis Tayor

Warri_____ An aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Ward 17 Councillorship aspirants in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State has staged a peaceful protest against the Chairman Delta South PDP, Chief Julius Takeme on alleged imposition of his immediate younger brother, Hon. Spencer Takeme for a second term against the will of the people.

The aggrieved aspirants who strongly believed they where shortchanged and deprived of their rights to contest and be voted for includes; Mr. Timi Bougha, Andaowei Okou, Christopher Bebenaghan and Prince Samisco Okpe accused Chief Takeme in what they described as a gross misconduct and abused of office in the process of selecting candidate in PDP.

The aggrieved protesters with their teeming supporters in Obotebe community carrying a placards of different inscriptions written; " Obotebe Ward 17 Rejects Imposition Of Candidate. Obotebe Ward 17 Wants Justice. Obotebe Ward17 Need A Consensus Candidate Not Your Immediate Younger Brother. Julius Takeme PDP Ward17 Is Bigger Than You And Your Immediate Family. PDP Ward17 Must Not Die. Julius Takeme Stop Politics Of, If Not Me, No One Else. Ward17, Obotebe Rejects Spencer Takeme. Julius Takeme Allow Obotebe ward17 To Choose Their Representative. Party Business Not Family Affairs".

They further alleged that Takeme who was privileged to be one of the leaders in ward 17 Obotebe and Delta South at large deliberately ignored the party guidelines in the process of selecting a candidate, thereby forcing his immediate younger brother for a second term to the detriment of other aspirants, as well as the entire Obotebe people who gave him (Takeme) the needed support for him to be who he is today in the state.

In their various reactions, they said, no primary election was conducted in Obotebe Ward 17.  According to them, said: " On the 14th of December, 2020, our leader Takeme invited all the councillorship aspirants, party stakeholders and delegates to his private residence in Warri. We were there to make our intention known to the people. But shortly after introduction, Chief Takeme, Hon. Amafini Akemotubo and other party stakeholders entered a close door meeting. What we heard behind was argument between Amafini and Takeme to the extent of exchanging blow. The next thing we saw was Takeme compelling the five delegates to sign an undertaking to return his immediate younger brother Spencer Takeme for a second term or they lose their position as party executive members in the ward. It was based on this circumstances, the five working committee members of the party signed the document for him under duress, thereby forcing his brother on us in the name of consensus candidate. There was no primary election as far as Obotebe ward 17 is concerned, the aggrieved aspirants stated."

Party politics is bigger than one man and his immediate family, thus the flagrant abuse of  powers in undermining existing democratic norms will no doubt turn the party in the Ward into chaos. Therefore, remediation of this ugly trend is sacrosanct, as they called on the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the state party Chairman, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso, Chief Tunde Smooth and other party leaders to intervene as a matter of urgency and call Takeme to do the right thing for peace to reign in the party, otherwise, we fear the outcome comes 6th of March, 2021, the statement adds.

Featured Article: The Global Study Of Recession And It's Attendant Toll In Nigeria Economy__ Comr. Ekpegha T.

Featured Article: The Global Study Of Recession And It's Attendant Toll In Nigeria Economy__ Comr. Ekpegha T

....Seeing Opportunity In Difficult Time.

The purpose of every difficult time is to put a demand on our creativity. The most significant opportunities will be found in times of great difficulty. The writer strongly believe that sustainable wells must be drilled in the dry season when the water table is at the lowest. Rainy season normally gives a deceptive and unsustainable water-  table level.

In his Global Study Of Recession In Nigeria Economy.

Recession is a similitude of dry season; sustainable business rise in times of recession.

Recession will always put a demand on our creativity, initiative and problem- solving capacity.

The writer stated that, the major economic theories of recession focus on financial, psychological, and real economic factors that can lead to the cascade of business failures that constitute a recession. Some theories look at long term economic trends that lay the groundwork for recession in the years leading up to it, and some look only at the immediate visible factors that appear at the onset of a recession. Many or all of these various factors may be at play in any given recession.

According to Comr. Ekpegha , he said, Financial factors can definitely contribute to an economy's fall into a recession, as we found out during the U.S. financial crisis. The overextension of credit and debt on risky loans and marginal borrowers can lead to enormous build-up of risk in the financial sector. The expansion of the supply of money and credit in the economy by the Federal Reserve and the banking sector can drive this process to extremes, stimulating risky asset price bubbles. And when the music stops the repercussions can carry over into the real economy.

Psychological factors are frequently cited by economists for their contribution to recessions also. The excessive exuberance of investors during the boom years that bring the economy to its peak, and the reciprocal doom-and-gloom pessimism that sets in after a market crash at a minimum amplify the effects of real economic and financial factors as the market swings. Moreover, because all economic actions and decisions are always to some degree forward looking, the subjective expectations of investors, businesses, and consumers are always involved in the inception and spread of an economic downturn.

Real changes in economic fundamentals, beyond financial accounts and investor psychology, also make critical contributions to a recession. Some economists explain recessions solely as a result of real economic shocks, such as disruptions in supply chains, and the damage they can cause to a wide range of businesses. Shocks that impact key industries such as energy or transportation can have such widespread effects that they cause many businesses across the economy to retrench and cancel investment and hiring plans simultaneously, with ripple effects on workers, consumers, and the stock market.

Some real economic factors can also be tied back into financial markets. Because market interest rates represent not only the cost of financial liquidity for businesses, but also the time preferences of consumers, savers, and investors for present versus future consumption, artificial suppression of interest rates by a central bank during the boom years before a recession distorts not just financial markets but real business and consumption decisions.

Interest rates are a key linkage between the purely financial sector and the real economic preferences and decisions of businesses and consumers.

In turn, the real preferences of consumers, savers, and investors place limits on how far such an artificially stimulated boom can proceed. These manifest as real economic constraints on continued growth, in the form of labor market shortages, supply chain bottlenecks, and spikes in commodity prices (which lead to inflation) when not enough real resources can be made available to support all the overstimulated business investment plans based on easy-money policies. Once these set in, a rash of business failures begins in the face of increased production costs and the economy tips into recession.

Some Causes of the Current Recession:

Though an official recession has not yet been declared, the economy is clearly heading in that direction. A major cause is obviously evident in the real economic shock of the widespread disruption of global and domestic supply chains and direct damage to businesses across all industries, due to the Covid-19 epidemic and the public health response. Both the impact of the epidemic and the fear and uncertainty surrounding it are important.

But a major underlying cause is also the overextension of supply chains, the overinvestment in marginal business, and the razor-thin inventories and fragile business models that have all become the norm over the decade of extreme low interest rates and monetary policy by central banks everywhere, and especially the Federal Reserve, since the last recession. The deep distortions in business, investment, and consumer behavior, that by 2020 have all become thoroughly addicted to an endless flow of easy money, laid the groundwork for the economic devastation that is currently underway by leaving the economy with zero margin of resilience to buffer against negative economic shocks.

Leading indicators were already flashing warning signs in 2019, long before Covid-19.

This had become clear as early as 2018 and 2019, when widespread shortages of needed employees and generally tight labor market conditions came to a head and spurred the Fed to very slightly slow the expansion of money and credit. The stock market plunged and leading indicators such as the yield curve quickly began flashing warning signs of impending recession. As serious a challenge as Covid-19 and the associated lockdowns represent over recent months, the economic fallout has been years in the making. The economy was sitting on a powder keg, and Covid-19 was a match, he added.

Merry Christmas and Happy NewYear In Advance.

God Bless Nigeria.
