Ezekiel gave the charge on Friday at Koko, the local government headquarters noted that Hon. He further appreciated High Chief. Government Ekpemupolo, Alhaji Emmanuel Omoko, Hon. Micheal Diden, Hon. Godwin Ebosa and several other leaders from both Itesekiri and Ijaw axis who made this arrangement a reality and success, and that GOD of peace will not depart from their homes.

According to the congratulatory message, read: " Peace is indeed  priceless: Base on this universal adage, l say a very big congratulations to Hon. Smart Asekutu, a.k.a 'Man of history', the Executive Chairman, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.

What seemed like impossibility that was about tearing Ijaws and Itsekiris of that area apart through violence was methodically, diplomatically resolved  through the charismatic leadership style of my boss, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to the delight of all.

Am using this medium to call on the first Ijaw man to hold reign of leadership to see his position as a greater call to duty, which must be born in unifying all the people of the local government into one bond regardless of ethnic group or status they belong to. Yes, l know that expectation is high but l believe with wisdom from God, you shall deliver on your  mandate.

Creeks Generals To Blessing, Destiny Perewari, Refund The Money You Collected Back To Ezekiel, Accusing Him Of Vote Buying Won't Save You

Creeks Generals To Blessing, Destiny Perewari, Refund The Money You Collected Back To Ezekiel, Accusing Him Of Vote Buying Won't Save You

Francis Tayor

In response to an online publication by some unscrupulous elements accusing our ljaw illustrious son who is the Senior Special Assistant, SSA to the Governor of Delta State on Security Matters, Comrade Daniel Ezekiel of 'Vote Buying' in November 2020 Edo State governorship election across the riverine communities in Ovia South West LGA, a coalition of militant generals drawn from the three local government areas of Edo state where the ljaws are residents has called on Hon. Blessing Perewari and her younger brother, Mr. Destiny Perewari to as a matter of urgency refund the money they collected during the election back to Ezekiel for not doing their job as expected.

The statement was issued at Ofunama Community, the administrative head, warrd 9, Ovia South West LGA on Saturday 13th March, 2021 after emergency general meeting signed by Gen. Pere Torupofa stated that they stand by the official letters sent by Hon. Daniel Ezekiel to various party leaders in the state, including the  governor Godwin Obaseki and that the demands in that letter should be done accordingly without further delay.

They further mocked the opposition party, APC in Edo state and urged them to put their failure blame on Adams Oshiomole who talks before thinking, instead of engaging on shadow chasing of Ezekiel whose record for kindness, justice and transparency is second to none.

According to the statement made by the creeks generals, read:

" RESOLUTION OF  THE EMERGENCY MEETING OF CREEKS GENERALS  AT OFUNAMA COMMUNITY, ADIMSTRATIVE HEAD , WARD 9, OVIA SOUTH WEST L. G. A., 13/03/2021 REGARD A BASELESS AND UNFOUNDED ONLINE PUBLICATION AGAINST IJAW NATION ILLUSTRIOUS SON, HON EZEKIEL DANIEL, SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO DELTA STATE GOVERNOR, SENATOR DR IFEANYI OKOWA ON SECURITY MATTERS

When lie is allow to go unchallenged, it becomes truth before the public, hence it is important that WE, the coalition of militant generals drawn across three local government areas of Edo state,  popularly known as RIVERINE where Ijaws are, find it expdidient to reply to a misleading online publication that Hon. Daniel Ezekiel engaged in VOTE BUYING.

It is a universal knowledge that there can be no election without money becasue how will candidates carry out campgain, printing of posters, advertisment on radio and television. What about mobilization of party faithfuls to various rallies that cut across the 18 local government areas of Edo state. In United States of America, whom the whole world sees as doyen of Democracy, money is equally part and parcel of their election. DO WE THEN CALL THIS VOTE BUYiNG  TOO ? The answer is capital NO. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa being the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South South Governors Forum, rallied his colleagues in the region to support one of their own, Governor Godwin Obaseki in various forms, just the way All Progressive Congress (APC) governors led by Kano state governor, Abdulahi Ganduje mobllized fund for defeated pastor Ize Iyamu.

Based on the trust and  confidence Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has in his aide, Hon. Daniel Ezekiel, he mobilized him with fund for people of riverine areas to move from creek to creek to sell his party candidate to the electorates on why they should vote for Governor Godwin Obaseki.

We all know that Ijaw parts of the state is a difficult terrain which requires speed boats to navigate. To hire a single speed boat to convey party faithfuls from Benin city, Warri, Sapele, Yenagoa and Porthacourt to places like Gelegele, Safarogbo, Inikorogha, Ofunama, Okomu, e.t.c all in Edo state cost nothing less  than four hundred thousand naira (#400,000 00).

So does this amount to VOTE BUYlNG ? It is only a foolish farmer that blame his unproductive harvest season on his farm tool. APC candidate, pastor Ize Iyamu lost woefully in his unit, ward and in the whole southern zone where he hailed from, if WE may ask, is Hon. Daniel Ezekiel still responsible for this absmal and monumental failure?

The truth of the matter is that pastor Izeyamu lost the election before the D-DAY becasue his political god father, comrade Adams Oshihomole destroyed his image and reputation way back in 2016.

It was so unfortunate that Honrable Blessing Perewari and his younger brother, Destiny Perewari from Ajakurama community, Ovia South  betrayed the trust Governor Ifeanyi Okowa aide had in them by releasing fund to them to mobilize party faithful down to their voting unit in Itagbene, but  Instead of using the money for what it was meant for, they diverted it into their  private pockets there by putting additional cost and responsibility on Hon. Daniel Ezekiel to mobllized party mermbers to go home and vote for PDP.

Opposition in Edo state should blame their   failure on Adams Oshiomole who talks before thinking, instead of engaging on shadow chasing of Hon. Daniel Ezekiel whose record for kindness, justice and transparency is second to none.

And to you Blessing Perewari and Destiny Perewari, we stand by what Hon. Daniel Ezekiel said in his official letters to various party leaders in the state, Governor Godwin Obaseki inclusive that he wants his money back because his Boss wouldn't have released fund to him if he was found wanting in character or show any sign of dishonesty."

General Pere Torupofa, On behalf of creeks generals.

Amnesty jamb condition: Ex-agitators calls on Pa Clark, Tompolo, others to intervene

Amnesty jamb condition: Ex-agitators calls on Pa Clark, Tompolo, others to intervene

....... Says they don't know book to write jamb before going to school

Francis Tayor

In what they described as sabotage and deliberate attempt to thwart the genuine efforts of the federal government to restore permanent peace in the Niger Delta oil rich region, the ex-agitators of the region has raised alarm as well as kicked against over the new directive by the Interim Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen. Miland Dikkio for all former militants to write jamb before they would be deployed to study in the university, saying the condition will not stand the test of time rather it will lead to anarchy and kios in the country.

The ex-agitators under the aegis of the Refined Niger Delta Militants (RNDM) comprises of all the former militants in phase 1,2 and 3 across the nine (9) Niger Delta states, raised the alarm on Sunday March 7, 2021 after an emergency meeting at Machiva Hostel Warri, Delta state warned Mr. Dikkio to immediately deploy them to the various universities the federal government partner with to train them academically within one week time or else, expect an unusual protest that will affect oil pipeline installations that will crumble the nation's economy.

In statement signed by the Coordinator of the group, Gen. Alabeni Otobo said about 95% of the ex-agitators of Niger Delta are illiterates and they want to go to school in order to contribute positively to build a better Nigeria as a country, but the new condition to write jamb is nothing but a ploy to deprive them of their right to study, having dropped arms to embrace federal government amnesty programme in 2009 for peace to reign in the country.

They maintained that the interim Chairman Dikkio and his PAs Alfred Kemepatei and George should follow the lay down procedures by deploying them within a week time, if not, whatever happened after the expiration of the notice, the federal government and the security operatives should hold the above names responsible for breaching the peace in the country. They further draw the attention of the interim management to note that their engagement is to serve the interest of the ex-agitators of the Niger Delta region and not to imposed on them unnecessary conditions that will jeopardize the peace of Nigeria.

However, they appealed to ljaw National Leader, Pa. E.K. Clark, Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief. Timipre Sylva, former Bayelsa state Governor, Hon Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson, Niger Delta former warlords, High Chief. Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, HRM. King Ateke Tom, Gen. Boyloaf Ebikabowei Victor Ben, High Chief. Bibopere Ajube aka 'Shoot At Sight', Gen. Fara Dagogo, lYC President, Comr Dcn. Timothy Igbifa and all the South South governors to intervene on this matter and call Mr. Dikkio to order before things get out of hand, they stated.

Timi Expresses Worry Over Ward 10 PDP Leadership lmbalance ln Burutu

Timi Expresses Worry Over Ward 10 PDP Leadership lmbalance ln Burutu

......Calls on Burutu, state party leaders intervention before it's too late

The People's Democratic Party, PDP, in Ward 10, especially the 17 arm of it, is not a private business or personal property, hence, assumed and privileged, persons should not cow to pocket the party. The affairs of the party in the Ward, is descending into the abyss.

The present leadership in the Ward, so to say, and it attendant lord it over, is nothing but, a knife which has come to put, the very fabrics bonding us as party faithfuls, asunder.

They should be cautioned, and call to order before things gets out of hand. I foresee, the imminent of a factional and parallel Exco, in the Ward, in the coming days.

The incompetence occasioned with who are they, nobody is there to challenge, and its nepotistic way of overseeing the activities of the Ward, by some unscrupulous element, is a call to the sharp division, already in the Ward.

To the leaders of the party, in the local government, and that of the state, things are not alright, with the Ward 10 PDP in Burutu, particularly the 17 arm of it. The new pharaoh in town is pharoahic in the affairs of the party. Instead, of the sheriff we have envisaged, night mare stares us in the face.

People should not see the smile, and assume things are alright. It is only a lip service, and that smile is just an activity.

That, impression of things been okay, only exists in the mind of those that, bends truth for their own abracadabra and selfish ends.

No personal feelings against any body or group of persons, but, things and the affairs of the party belongs to all of us, and such, opinion should cut across all, and not, that, way of one issuing orders, from their comfort zones.

We choose to keep quiet, not because, we don't know what to do, such persons should desist from the act. The party belongs to all of us, and not, a private investment. This is not over, enjoy it, while it, last.

In the keyboard, everyone knows the right key to press, but, just enjoy it while it last. The day of reckoning is close! Party meeting venues should be in a neutral places, and not, in an environment that, bias stings.

Until, we review, the Ward party Exco, to accommodate, the general yearning of all members, as well as, incorporate the persons, that have worked assiduously, to share in the beneficial cake, and not just, one immediate family.

Things shall never be the same, in the coming days, and there shall be no peace, if the largesse of the party, does not go round. Let those that have worked, be given, opportunity to benefit. Lets stop promoting nepotism, and failure, incompetence over competent.

How can, from 1998 till date,  one set of persons with attitudinal challenge, forms Exco to the detriment of others, grounded with ideas, and a spirit to work. This habit needs a total overhauling.

The time is near. Lies and deceit, will no longer rule over truth, humility, diplomacy and understanding. There is still a bitch called the day of reckoning, it is a night mare which has come to stay!

To him, who is wise, let such a person change, we are way more than you! This is an inferno, you know too well that, I know.

Taskforce pulls down illegal structures at Agbasa, Warri Garage, Okpokiti, Cemetery junction, others in Delta

....lssues 7Days Ultimatum to traders in Ibo Market to vacate shops under high tension

Following the directives of Delta State Government led by His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to keep Delta state clean and safe, operatives of the state taskforce on Environment on Thursday 25th February has demolished illegal structures, containerised shops at Agbasa, Okpokiti street, Warri Garage, Cemetery junction, Hausa quarters, Deco junction along Warri Sapele road of the state.

Speaking during the demolition exercise, the Chairman of the state taskforce, Hon. He explained that after the expiration of the Removal Order, the government was magnanimous enough to add 21days grace to remove their belongings and vacate the entire area, but unfortunately some stubborn traders refused to comply with the directive.

He therefore, urged members of the public to support the government to make the environment clean and safe for all Deltans, Oromoni stated.

Meanwhile, the state taskforce had served seven (7) days abatement notice to traders in lbo market to remove their shops under high tension within the speculated time, so as to avoid government force on demolition of their properties.

Delta State Taskforce on Environment in collaboration with Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and Ministry of Environment today has sealed up illegal Gas Plant stations situated at Ughelli, Udu in the state.

The exercise was carried out following the Agbor illegal gas plant fire explosion that killed many lives as well as destruction of properties worths millions of naira in December, 2020.

Addressing the press during the operation, the Chairman Delta State Taskforce on Environment, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni said any gas plant without DPR approval situated around residential areas must be removed for safety of lives and properties. He reiterated that the Agbor gas explosion that killed many lives and render residents homeless was as result of siting such illegal plants close to residential buildings. He advice those who are unto domestic gas business to first seek DPR permit before erecting their stations, saying Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa led government will not tolerate illegal gas plant operation in the state, Oromoni stated.

In his reaction, the representative of DPR Warri, Engr. Solomon Adebayo said the gas plants was sealed up because they are illegal and not approved to operate by our office. He stressed that before one is allowed to erect commercial gas plant, first the location must not be situated close to residential area where people live. Secondly, the land size must be accurate, that is 100 by 100. And thirdly, the operator must be issued a permit licensed to operate by DPR. Chief. Mulade writes Gov. Okowa, Speaker, DTHA to transfer Burutu School of Marine Tech from transport to Ministry of Higher Education

Chief. Mulade writes Gov. Okowa, Speaker, DTHA to transfer Burutu School of Marine Tech from transport to Ministry of Higher Education

.....Appeals to Speaker DTHA, other Legislators to support request

A Delta-born educationist and human rights advocate, Comrade (Chief) Mulade Sheriff has written to the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to transfer the School of Marine Technology, Burutu, from the State Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Higher Education, to enable the institution function effectively and optimally.

Chief Mulade, a Peace Ambassador who is also the President of the Riverine Communities Development Forum of Nigeria, made this known to journalists in Abuja at the weekend, stressing that the transfer of the School to the Higher Education Ministry would attract academics and professionals to run and manage the institution for the betterment of students and Deltans in general.

The rights activist noted that the School of Marine Technology, Burutu, had been attached to the Ministry of Transport, indicating that it was meant to train the youths in crash programmes only instead of in full fledged degree and diploma courses such as those in the universities and polytechnics respectively.

He wondered why those who conceptualized the Marine School did not place it under the State Ministry of Higher Education, a body which has the academic techniques, manpower and competence to train degree and diploma students, but rather tucked it in the Transport Ministry whose corporate goal is merely to train students in the business of marine transportation and technology.

According to Mulade, in tertiary education, a professional certificate is quite different from an academic certificate. He therefore, on behalf of riverine communities in Delta State, appealed to, and requested Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to transfer the School of Marine Technology, Burutu, to the Ministry of Higher Education so that academic experts could run and manage it towards achieving set goals.

He also called on the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chief Sheriff Oborevwori and his colleagues to amend the Act that established the School of Marine Technology, and transfer it to the State Ministry of Higher Education, to enable it achieve the purpose for which it was established.
