Group condemns sponsored FIDAs Protest against Gbagi, cautions StellaMaris to shun being used as political tool

Group condemns sponsored FIDAs Protest against Gbagi, cautions StellaMaris to shun being used as political tool

The Delta Central Youth Political Forum has condemned the profiteering and illegitimate business of political blackmail and pernicious propaganda, which have become the stock in trade of some politicians and their cronies.

The coordinator of the forum, Comrade Isaac Onomiakpokpo, in a press statement specifically condemned the politically motivated and sponsored planned protest against foremost gubernatorial aspirant in the state and former Minister for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi by the International Federation of Women Lawyers ((FIDA) in Delta State.

The forum noted that it was aware of the recruitment of FIDA by an underground and inordinately ambitious political Lilliput to smear the rising image, fame and political clout of Olorogun Gbagi.

The forum advised the Chairperson of FIDA in the State, StellaMaris Majulu, to shun being used by politically selfish individuals, noting that FIDA is a reputable body that should have the moral integrity to discern right from wrong and follow the right path.

The statement reads further that “as a body of learned persons if the body has an issue with anybody, including Olorogun Gbagi, the right step is to get to the person concerned and sort things out.  It is only when that fails before the body can embark on other measures.

Thus, the forum regards "the planned sponsored protest as a cheap political blackmail to drag the good name of Olorogun Gbagi into unnecessary controversy.

It noted that the former Minister for Education, who orchestrated the establishment of thirteen federal universities and polytechnics across the country, including the Federal University of Petroleum (FUPRE) in Delta State, has not done anything deserving of FIDA to organize a public protest in different parts of the state.

The forum said the planned protest is an extension of the earlier failed campaign of calumny against Olorogun Gbagi, adding that FIDA should not allow itself to be used as a catalyst of calumny campaigns.

The forum further advised FIDA to tap from the developmental and industrial strides of Olorogun Gbagi, noting that apart from politics, Olorogun Gbagi is one of the most prominent and selfless industrialists in Delta State.

Just-ln: Fresh Smear Campaign Plot Against Gbagi Leaks After Botched Arrest Warrant

Just-ln: Fresh Smear Campaign Plot Against Gbagi Leaks After Botched Arrest Warrant

A foremost Governorship Aspirant in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has received intelligence reports that some women lawyers under the auspices of International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Delta State have been recruited to drag his towering image to the mud.

The group has plotted  to hold a protest today , April 14th 2021, in Asaba and Warri,  to mislead the

general public, especially Deltans, following the failure of a desperate official in the coridors of power in Delta State Government and his cronies, who used his authority to issue a fake warrant of arrest against  Barr. Gbagi, months back.

FIDA, hiding under the guise of demanding for justice in vacuum is clearly being sponsored by enemies of Barr. Gbagi's governorship ambition,  who are unhappy with the popularity and unprecedented acceptability he is gaining on daily basis.

FIDA, Delta State Chapter under the watch of StellaMaris Majulu, is advised not to allow the reputable organization to be dragged into the murky politics of the state.

Undoubtedly,  people, especially interested parties would engage in political gimmicks to score cheap popularity, but it is surprising that FIDA could offer it's platform for such a  smear campaign.

Olorogun Gbagi,  therefore,  calls  on the Government of Delta State to rein in these agents of backwardness in order  to forestall any form of face-off that might lead to breakdown of law and order.

He also appeals to his teeming supporters and the generality of Deltans to disregard any form of lies, as there are the handiwork of his political adversaries.

Signed:

Ken Orusi

.....Stakeholders urge FG, others to  intervene urgently

The Nigerian Government is losing an estimated crude oil production of over 420, 000, Four Hundred and Twenty Thousand Barrels Per Day and over 50 million Dollars since the two unions NUPENGASSAN of Pan Ocean workers embark on an industrial action against management of Pan Ocean over non payment of salaries , pension remittances , welfare of workers among others .

Investigation revealed that Pan Ocean workers had issued several industrial action notices to the Top Management of the company in pursuance to their demands but to no avail until they shutdown OML 98, OML 147 fields  as well as the major  Gas plant line supplying Egbin Power plant last December 2020 which compelled NNPC, DPR, Pan Ocean Top Management for meetings and it was resolved and they were assured of meeting up their demands by federal government.

Further investigation revealed that Chairman of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association, PENGASSAN, Pan Ocean branch, Comrade Rex Aibangbee, NUPENG Branch Chairman, Comrade Aboy Udi, PENGASSAN as well as  NUPENG National PRO, Comrade Cogent Ojobor and PENGASSAN, Warri Zonal Council Vice Chairman, Comrade Prince Audu Peter Oshiokhamele with NUPENGASSAN National President, Williams Eniredonana Akporehe and PENGASSAN National President comrade, Comrade Osifo Festus both  unanimously declared and  gave Pan Ocean and federal government as well as relevant agencies 48 hours starting from December 7, 2020 to meet up the demands of the workers or they shutdown their operations they reiterated that the two union presidents had directed that they shutdown operations if NNPC, NAPIMS Ministry of Petroleum doesn't resolve the issue amicably by paying the workers what's due them.

Accordingly federal government in their joint meeting held with both NUPENFASSAN and  their National  leaders  of agreed however  that they NNPC will pay the workers 60 percent, while Pan Ocean take care of their top management after it was reviewed the federal government agreed outright payment of 100 percent in order for easy takeover of the assets by NPDC.

Presently Pan Ocean has refused signing memorandum of Understanding with federal government through the NNPC  its subsidiaries and staff of Pan Ocean in order to mandate release of fund to pay and settle the workers industrial unrest which has led to loss of almost 500 thousands barrels of crude oil per day production and almost losing about 900 million cubic feet of gas production occasioned due to shutting down of the various production well facilities.

Stakeholders in the oil and gas sectors are urging the federal government and the top management to urgently intervene in order to safe the economy from such huge lost and possible economic collapse if the industrial unrest continues.

They have stressed the need for government to prevail on Pan Ocean Top Management to settle the issue promptly in order to encourage peaceful and industrial harmony among workers and pan Ocean management.

Amnesty: Don't deprive us of our right, ex-agitators tell Dikkio, Kemepade

Amnesty: Don't deprive us of our right, ex-agitators tell Dikkio, Kemepade

...... Appealed to Pa Clark, Tompolo, Ateke, Boyloaf, Ajube, Igbifa, Joshua, Reuben, others to call Dikkio, Kemepade to order

Francis Tayor

Yenagoa_____ Former Niger Delta freedom fighters popularly known as ex-agitators of Niger Delta has warned the acting Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Rtd Col. Milland Dikkio as well as his Personal Assistant (PA), Mr. Alfred Kemepade not to deprived them of their rights to access quality education and other benefits due to them in the programme, noting that the amnesty office was created to serve the interest of the ex-agitators and not to witch hunt them.

The ex-agitators under the aegis of the Refined Niger Delta Militants (RNDM) led by Gen. Otobo Alabeni issued the statement on Monday 5th in Yenagoa, stated that they are not happy with Dikkio and his PA Kemepade on their plot to short change them in the programme by asking them to write JAMB before going to school.

They maintained that the interim chairman Dikkio and his PA Kemepade should follow the layed down process by deploying them to the approved universities across the country to study, stressing that anything outside that would attract anarchy and restiveness in the country, especially the Niger Delta oil rich region.

The ex-agitators further draw the attention of the interim management board to note that their engagement was to serve the interest of the ex-agitators of the Niger Delta region and not to imposed on them antagonistic conditions that will jeopardize the peace of the country.

According to Gen. Alabeni, " said if the interim management want impacted community beneficiaries to write JAMB before going to school, that is their own but we the ex-agitators will not be part of the JAMB arrangement because that was not part of the agreement we signed with federal government in 2009 before we accept amnesty. We where told that those of us want to go to school would be given direct admission and that is what had been ongoing since 2010 till date. But when Dikkio come onboard, him and his allies are bringing JAMB condition to thwart the whole process the past Coordinators had built over the years."

In addition, " We also warned Kemepade and Dikkio to immediately forward the bush names of the ex-agitators as well as those who have changed to their real names to the designated higher institutions for study because most of us were afraid to use our real names in the initial stage of accepting amnesty due to misinformation. Planning to send only real names to school to the detriment of those using their bush names would be tartanmount to anarchy in the country, Gen. Alabeni noted."

However, the ex-agitators used this medium appealed to High Chief.  Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, HRM. King Ateke Tom, Dr. Ebikabowei Victor Ben aka Boyloaf, High Chief Bibopere Ajube aka Shoot at Sight, Gen. Young Shall Grow, Pastor Reuben, Gen. Joshua Maichaver, IYC President Timothy Igbifa, Pa. E.K Clark and the South-South Governors to  immediately intervene on this matter to call Rtd Col. Milland Dikkio and his PA Alfred Kemepade to order, if not they will have no other option than to invoke the spirit of Egbesu as well as their fallen hero's in the course of the Niger Delta Liberation struggle to go after them, the statement adds.

Bilabiri Killing: IYC conderms action, calls on waring parties to sheathe their swords

Bilabiri Killing: IYC conderms action, calls on waring parties to sheathe their swords

The Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) Worldwide has condemned the bloody conflict that has claimed four lives in Bilabiri in Ekeremor Local Government Area.

It was gathered that a proposed security contract triggered disagreements that led to the communal war.

But IYC in a statement signed by its President, Peter Timothy Igbifa, appealed to the warring parties to sheathe their swords saying it was irresponsible for brothers to pick arms against themselves.

Igbifa said instead of bloodshed, Council will provide a roundtable to discuss the issues and resolve grey areas of their differences insisting that dialogue remained the best tool in dispute resolution.

The IYC boss called on the police and other security agencies to immediately move into the warring community and restore order to stop further breakdown of law and order.

He said the council was willing to work with stakeholders of Bilabiri and the state government as well as the security Agencies to ensure a non repeat while the people go about their normal day to day activities.

Just-in: Atserunleghe appointed as new acting Ologbotsere of warri as Ayiri suspended

Just-in: Atserunleghe appointed as new acting Ologbotsere of warri as Ayiri suspended

It was a sad moment as Ginuwa I Ruling House suspended Chief Ayiri Emami as Ologbotsere Of Warri, appointed an acting Ologbotsere.

The controversy surrounding the most respected Olu’s Stool, took a new look on Tuesday 30th March, 2021 when the Ginuwa I Ruling House made the suspension announcement of Chief Emami as the the Traditional Prime Minister (Ologbotsere) of Warri in press briefing held at the front of Olu Palace, Warri.

In same light, the Iyatsere of Warri during the press briefing appointed Chief Johnson Atserunleghe to Act as the New Ologbotsere of Warri.

The Press briefing saw in attendance the Leadership of Itsekiri National Youth Council, many Itsekiri’s sons and daughters. Prince Toju Emiko on behalf of the Ginuwa 1 ruling house addressed the press. He claimed that the 1979 Edict on which the Ojoye-Isan acted, “was hurriedly put together by a hand few of our leaders to meet the exigencies of that time. This so called ‘edict’ exasperating as it is, was never presented to the people for discourse at a general assembly of the Itsekiris for purposes of ratification and general acceptance. But the last two Olus, were crowned using this aberration, despising protests and court cases against the law each time, the statement reads in parts;

“Now we come to another cross road. The Ginuwa 1 Ruling House, which is the only Ruling House in the land and which has exclusive powers to nominate a successor to the throne, has been meeting in the last three months, after a convocation of bonafide members of the House, to nominate a successor to the throne. In the end, Prince Tsola Emiko, was picked as the most qualified person to sit on the throne at this time. This was done only after his name was submitted to the Ruling House by majority of the descendants of the last three Olus, even in compliance with the vexatious edict”.

While the 1979 Edict was contended on the fact that it doesn’t give power to Ojoye-Isan power to disqualify any candidate presented to them by the Ruling House, Prince Emiko said, “This singular illegal action of ‘disqualification’ is now threatening the relative peace in Warri Kingdom and almost tearing apart the very fabric of our existence.

“He (Chief Emami) is to immediately step aside as the Ologbotsere and stop parading himself as such.

“The Iyatsere, who is next in Command and in-fact the most senior chief, who accompanied Ginuwa I from Benin to found the Warri Kingdom, is hereby appointed as Acting Chairman of the Council of Chiefs and the Olu’s Advisory Council. He is to take over immediately and steer the remainder of the process to give us an organized, speedy closure”.

Mr. Esimaje Awani, who spoke during the briefing on behalf of Itsekiri National Youths Council, INYC noted that the Itsekiri youths’ organ was in support of the position of the Ginuwa I Ruling House.

It was reported that Ojoye-Isan, had on Tuesday March 30, in A meeting allegedly held at the Olu Palace Warri allegedly rejected Tsola Emiko as the choice of OMOBA, presented by the Ginuwa Ruling House on the ground that the choice was not in compliance with the 1979 Edict guiding the process of selecting an OMOBA, who is usually crowned as the Olu of Warri.

There were feelers that the embattled Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayirimi Emami, who presided over the Ojoye-Isan meeting, the Iyatsere of Warri, Chief Johnson Atserunleghe (who interestingly had been mandated by the Secretary to Emiko Descendants Forum and member Ginuwa I Ruling House) to act as Ologbotsere, the Uwangue of Warri, Chief Gabriel Awala, the Otsodin of Warri, Chief Isaac Jemide, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Chief Francis Omatseye and Chief Sam Omamuli A.k.A Omajaja, were in attendance at the Ojoye-Isan meeting, which purportedly rejected Prince Tsola Emiko as OMOBA.
