2023: Keep Hope Alive with NNPP, Nesiama tells the People of Delta South

2023: Keep Hope Alive with NNPP, Nesiama tells the People of Delta South

Warri_____ The New Nigeria Peoples Party Senatorial Candidate for Delta South Senatorial District, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (Rtd) has called on the people of the district to keep hope alive because their desired change lies with the NNPP.

Speaking in a Radio telephone interview with Taiwo Olapade of” Voice of the People 90.3 FM, on Monday 13th of June in Lagos, the “Commodore of Hope” said he has come with something better, something innovative, devoid of the old order, that the PDP and APC stood for.

“Currently, we have a system that is dictated by the leaders, led by the leaders, directed by the leaders, listening to nobody and doing what they want, not what the people want,” Nesiama said.

He said the people of Delta State, particularly the south senatorial district are tired of the old ways that has brought nothing, but untold hardship on them, stating that, they desire a new representation that is purposeful and progressive, which his candidacy and the NNPP stands for.

Although the PDP has held sway since 1999, Commodore Nesiama is confident that the NNPP will defeat the ruling PDP in the Delta South come February, 2023 and he therefore called on the 1.2 million voting population in the 85 wards cut across the eight local government areas of the district, to vote for the NNPP as this will bring about the needed restoration.

Below are excerpts from the Radio Interview:

Radio Host: All right. Good morning. Welcome to another edition of issues in the news coming to you live on your radio station of choice, 90.3 FM voice of the people V O P 90.3 FM. My name is Taiwo Olapade. Today on the program issues in the news, we’re still talking about politics, politics, politics. We know at the moment in the country the leading story, the running story that we have been dealing with in the last couple of weeks is still politics and we go the way of politics today. This morning we will be talking to the candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Mr. Omatseye Nesiama who happens to be a retired Commodore. Mr. Omatseye Nesiama will be joining us very soon via telephone on the show. He is the candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party for Delta South Senatorial District.

Radio Host: Mr. Omatseye Nesiama, Hello, good morning and welcome to the show.

Omatseye Nesiama: Good morning. I’m very proud and happy to be part of the show.

Radio Host: Can you quickly tell us, how is Delta state at the moment? How is Delta state this morning?

Omatseye Nesiama: Delta State is good and well. Like they say in the usual security parlance, it is cool and calm, everybody is anxious and everybody is waiting, people are strategizing for the forthcoming elections. We’re just waiting for INEC to do their thing and give us the go ahead to commence our work.

Radio Host: Okay Retired Commodore Nesiama, from my research, I’ve discovered that your Senatorial District, Delta South has quite a number of local government areas, eight local government and 85 wards within this local government, the voting population is 1.2 million voting population. Is that right?

Omatseye Nesiama: Yes, that’s about right. You know, these things keep shifting. By the time we are set to go, we will know the exact statistics that we’ll be working with. For now, we will take the figure you’ve given as right.

Radio Host: When it comes to politics in Nigeria, at the moment we know that the two dominant political parties since the return of democratic rule in 1999 have been the People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress (APC) which came in 2014 / 2015, and before it, there was ACN, AC and the likes. But at the moment, we have APC and PDP. So, what are the chances of the New Nigeria People’s Party coming into limelight in Delta State, particularly when it comes to Delta South Senatorial District, what are your chances?

Omatseye Nesiama: Well, the APC came in not at the beginning of our return to democracy, it came in much later. People are already tired, very tired of the two dominant political parties, and they are one and the same. So far people have come to realize that they have their set ways of doing things. They have their set ideas of how the Country should be run and that has not led us anywhere. I’ve said from beginning that, I will not want to commence my political career in any of the existing or the current political structure. I want something different; I want something new; I want something innovative; I want something where my position, my plans, my voice, my direction could be heard and listened to. I want ideas to be taken seriously in the overall interest of the party and by extension, the country. This is exactly what has motivated me to join the New Nigerian People’s Party. The New Nigerian People’s Party, first and foremost, promotes a new Nigeria, not the Nigeria that we’ve been used to in the more than 20 years. We need a Nigeria that will be people focused, a Nigeria that will listen to the yearnings and aspirations of its constituents – the people, not the leaders. Currently, we have a Nigeria that is dictated by the leaders, led by the leaders, directed by the leaders, listening to nobody and doing what they want, not what the people want. We want a new Nigeria that is purposeful and progressive. And I see that captured in the New Nigerian People’s Party. Beginning, even with the Party’s logo. The logo shows that the Party is one of the few parties that actually believe in one Nigeria. NNPP is one of the few parties that believes that, every Nigerian should have food on the table, that is why the logo of the party speaks about the basket of food stuff. Every Nigerian should be able to eat food in the first place. Today, we have many Nigerians not even able to afford one round meal, not to talk of a square meal. This is the problem we have. This is what I personally, along with my party seek to change. That narrative must change. And that is why we seek for a new Nigeria and anybody that seeks for a new Nigeria, that is tired of the status quo and wants something different should embrace our party.

Radio Host: The New Nigerian People’s Party looks to many Nigerians like a new political party, so to say, since we have been conversant with the People’s Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress. Then I’ll ask a question that, what are the chances of your party in Delta State and narrowing it down to Delta South Senatorial District. At the moment we have about 23 states controlled by the ruling APC, I think about 12 or 13 by the PDP and only one other state controlled by APGA, that being Anambra state. There is no state where we have the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP). How bright are the chances of this party? We know we have a presidential candidate in the person of former Kano state Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, but how do you think people will accept this party come 2023 general elections?

Yeah, very simple. They have tested the two major parties in the field and any right-thinking person will know that you cannot continue to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. Now we have presented ourselves, they have a better choice. The two major parties have failed us and it is no news. We have now presented an option to Nigerians. This option is such that we are working from the grassroots. I’m not talking about the national spread at this stage.

We have not been there. We’re not boasting that we have been, but what will happen between now and February will shock every Nigerian, especially in Delta State and Delta South where I belong. My duty is to present the agenda of the party to my people in Delta South and win that Senatorial District for the party and indeed for Nigerians. Then, if every other candidate presented is also able to deliver on their task, then come 2023, we will see the spread. Already, the home state of the party’s national flag bearer, Kano State, has turned around for the NNPP. I don’t want to go into that, I’m concerned about my own area, my locality. And that is where I am pushing. If you go to Delta South today, you will hear the term ” the Commodore of Hope”, meaning that I am bringing back the hope that the people have lost over time. This Commodore of Hope is bringing that hope back to the people. Note, there is a Hope Restoration Movement that is driving this process. I came up through their activities. They are the ones actually that threw my candidacy up and have been cheering me up.

The Hope Restoration Movement is determined to restore the hope of the people to believe that a genuine change is possible. To make them believe that it is possible for politics to be played in a humane, progressive and purposeful manner. It is possible for the people’s votes to count. It is possible for people to have proper representation that is accountable and that will bring about the dividends of democracy to them. It is possible for the nation Nigeria to be great again, it is possible for a new Nigeria to emerge. All these are possible. All these possibilities start with the belief, and it is that belief that we want the people to actually acquire at this stage. Whatever we are bringing between now and when the campaign starts is to restore the belief that it is possible, the statement adds.

Featured Article: An Epitaph For Chief Coach Lokoja Suoye_By Ekanpou Enewaridideke

LOKOJA SUOYE THE SIXTEEN was Solemnly, somberly and soulfully 'sirened' and  serenaded home and away from Ndoro on sixteen June 2022.It was the story of a man soulfully sirened and serenaded home away from his Ndoro home - a man whose thoughts centred on the betterment of Ndoro while on earth.

Suoye as the only sixteen , SUOYE sailed to strengthen and give Ndoro the stamina to star in everything on wrestling because he was sixteen who sailed 'sixteenly' until he was sirened and serenaded home on the sixteen without a dent on his sixteen status both as a wrestling champion and as a development agent of Ndoro.Back home SUOYE  sailed on the sixteenth with his sixteen as a wrestling champion, guitarist, musician and philanthropist whose achievements in Ijaw nation,Ndoro town and beyond will never be forgotten.

Suoye sailed everywhere on earth as a good man and died as a good man attested to by all in Ndoro town.Suoye's sail on earth with his sixteen but now sirened away, is an inspiration to this generation and beyond  because it tells the story of a man who singlemindedly pursued his vision of wrestling and made a mark for all to see and also went further to study and  bag a degree in the university...

Suoye held unto his vision until Suoye sailed solemnly home, sirened and serenaded to another home beyond Ndoro. It is greats like Suoye who should be celebrated   - alive or dead  -  because he is a man of remarkable achievements whose personal achievements outshine the Okonkwo and Amalize the cat of Chinua Achebe's creation in THINGS FALL APART.

When a great like great Suoye sails home at ebb tide when the ideal home-sail should begin at full tide, greatness in life creates palpitations and questions for lovers of greatness because death does not dignify greatness.Death, is it true that you swooped on Suoye and silenced Suoye with his sixteen styles in wrestling because you death have no dignity for Suoye's greatness?Even Suoye's sixteen styles were no match for Death   -  that death made disgustingly arrogant, rash and indiscriminate in her dance of destruction by King Alfred Izonebi's praises for death!Death, may you now go away from this earth world as ordered by King Izonebi!

Dear Suoye, wherever you may have sailed to at death, note that the Ijaw nation, Ndoro town,Bayelsa State and Nigeria are proud of your remarkable achievements in wrestling because you debuted with sixteen in wrestling and soulfully sailed home away from your Ndoro home without a stain and dent on your sixteen status. You began your journey of life on earth with a good story and ended with a good story  - a good story that has already begun to inspire your generation infectiously. That rash and arrogant man called Death was very unfair to Suoye!

Because Suoye's sail sounded too incredible,I went to Ndoro town on 16 June 2022 to confirm if it was actually Suoye the sixteen that died whose corpse was brought home for final burial rites. It was Suoye's corpse that was brought on that sixteenth day and so I merely gave him his last respect because he was my great friend until he died...That great Suoye of Ndoro who promised to grace Mrs Timiebi Maika Ekanpou's final burial rites in Oyangbene town is no more! What about Chief Mitin T.the Regent and other personalities in Ndoro who prayerfully thought and wished they would outlive Chief coach Lokoja Suoye and be honoured with a remarkable burial by Suoye who is known for giving greats great and befitting burial rites?Suoye the inimitable SIXTEEN, please tell Mrs Timiebi Maika Ekanpou the great storyteller philosopher in the underworld that she will be finally freed to sail to that kingdom of the dead  this year even with the forced absence of Chief Coach Suoye who will not be available to keep his promise of storming your burial day celebration with his Ndoro entertainment squad Sixteen...

Alas, Suoye the Sixteen was 'sixteened' away on the sixteen of June 2022 and now Suoye's scintillating sonority in songs sung in achievements in wrestling and music silenced on the sixteen, Suoye's scintillating sonority sails into immortality in the world of humans with his multicoloured marks of achievements in his canvas of achievements. For Suoye, Suoye's silenced sonority on the sixteen sails immortally into another sonority beyond silence from any silencer called death. For Suoye it was death who was silenced, not Suoye who was silenced because at silence the sonority of Suoye was more deafening than the premeditated silence of death who thought Suoye could be silenced...Death got it absolutely wrong on Suoye's silence because even the perpetually compliant silence was able to defile and defy death's silence on the sixteen of June 2022...

Ukraine War: Russia Destroys Warehouse Of NATO-donated Weapons In Ukraine

Ukraine War: Russia Destroys Warehouse Of NATO-donated Weapons In Ukraine
The Russian Ministry of Defense, Wednesday said it has destroyed a warehouse of weapons in Ukraine.

According to the ministry, the destroyed weapons were provided by NATO nations in the Western Ukrainian Lviv region.
A statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, said this in its update on the war in Ukraine published on Wednesday.

“High-precision long-range Kalibr missiles near Zolochev, Lvov region, have destroyed a warehouse of ammunition for foreign weapons transferred to Ukraine by NATO countries, including 155-mm M777 howitzers,” it said.

Ukrainian officials conceded on Tuesday that some Russian strikes were successful but also claimed that their air defense systems had shot down Russian cruise missiles over Lviv and Ternopil.

“It was possible to bring down only a part,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday. “Unfortunately, there are victims, there is destruction.”
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has said it will be sending forces and prepositioned equipment to the eastern flank.

And this will be the first time the organisation would be taking such action since the Cold War.

The alliance’s Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg disclosed this on Wednesday, according to CNN.

According to him, this would provide a quick response by NATO in case of a threat.

He said at a Brussels news conference before a NATO Defense Ministers’ meeting.

“That’s exactly what we are working on with Germany but we expect all the allies to make similar offers, to enable preassigned forces that are training and are responsible for the defense of specific territories,” Stoltenberg said.

I’ll take back Nigeria from 16 years of PDP’s mystery, poverty: Tinubu boasted.

I’ll take back Nigeria from 16 years of PDP’s mystery, poverty: Tinubu boasted
.

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, has said he will take back Nigeria from the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mr Tinubu, during his acceptance remarks at Eagle Square on Wednesday, said the PDP caused mystery and poverty when it was in power.

Mr Tinubu’s party has been in power since 2015 when Muhammadu Buhari won election. He was reelected in 2019 and will complete his second four-year term in May 2023.

Although the PDP had powers for 16 years from 1999 to 2015, Nigerians have said the current poverty and deprivation currently ravaging the country should be blamed on the APC.

“The cat that lied down quietly is not a pretence of death but the breathing of energy to devour its enemy,” We will run. We will do it. We will take the poverty development party, called the PDP, 16 years of mystery, 16 years of failure, 16 years of forgetting about our children’s future,” Mr Tinubu said. “We will bring back our country and build the best nation for our children.”

Mr Buhari spent his early years in government blaming the PDP, which caused repeatedly a war of words between the opposition party and pro-government spokespeople.

Mr Tinubu’s comment indicated that he would be running against the opposition rather than his party’s record.

2023: Jonathan Congratulate Atiku, Tinubu, Obi, Kachikwu, others

2023: Jonathan Congratulate Atiku, Tinubu, Obi, Kachikwu, others

I congratulate the winners of the various primaries across the political spectrum, particularly Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who has won the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and  the flagbearers of other parties that have also concluded their primaries.

They include Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Malik Ado-Ibrahim, Young Progressives Party (YPP), Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Dumebi Kachikwu, African Democratic Congress (ADC) as well as Adewole Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party (SDP.
Your emergence as the flagbearers of your parties after submitting yourselves to rigorous selection and election processes demonstrates your belief and interest in the progress of our nation.

I consider you are all aspiring to be elected as the leader of the country because you are democrats who believe, like the rest of us, that Nigeria is our common heritage which we should all strive to protect, prosper and preserve for the future generation.

As you progress towards the electioneering campaigns, it is important that the issues confronting the country and credible solutions take centre stage.
I urge you to conduct your campaigns in a manner devoid of acrimony, divisiveness and treachery so that at the end of the day Nigeria will win, democracy will triumph and humanity will be better for it.

As I have always said, no ambition is worth the life of another. As candidates, you must eschew violence and acts that will encourage any form of bloodletting or exacerbate the national fault lines. We live in a season of unprecedented violence and all political leaders have a responsibility to de-escalate the tension in the country. The candidates by conduct and language must prioritise non-violence and peaceful coexistence.

I also salute the sportsmanship displayed by other aspirants who have continued to lend their weight to the democratic process, despite the fact that they did not emerge victorious in their various party primaries.
I urge all stakeholders to place national interest above personal interest. We must commit to upholding virtues that will sustain  our democracy and advance the cause of good governance, peace and sustainable development.

Nigeria is at a critical junction in its march to nationhood as it grapples with security and economic challenges. The 2023 elections present an opportunity to renew our union, rebuild the dreams of our founding fathers and revitalise our economy.

The importance of this election imposes on the election managers and security agencies a historic burden to continue deepening the reforms of our electoral system. A transparent election will go a long way to increase the confidence of Nigerians in our democracy and restore trust in our public institutions.
We can attain our national aspirations of unity, peace, and progress through the instrumentality of a functional and effective democracy.

I urge all leaders, especially politicians, to prioritize the peace and stability of our nation as we commence the activities of 2023 elections.

To the good citizens of our beloved country, I charge you all, particularly the youth, to make honest and patriotic choices that will guarantee us the hope that we desire for ourselves and our nation.

Delta South: NNPP Candidate, NYCN Launched Voters Awareness Campaign in Warri

Delta South: NNPP Candidate Nesiama, NYCN Launched Voters Awareness Campaign in Warri

Francis Tayor

Warri_____ ln his bid to provide effective representation to the good people of Delta South Senatorial District at the red chambers in the National Assembly, the candidate of the New Nigerian People's Party (NNPP), Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (Rtd) has teamed up with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State to launch a Voters Enlightenment Campaign in LGA in order to sensitize eligible voters on the need to have their PVCs ahead 2023.
According to the Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Warri South LGA Chapter, Comr. Henry Efetobor, said the major reason for the enlightenment campaign exercise was to educate the grassroots on the importance and need for the electorates to register with INEC in order to have their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) ahead 2023 general elections.

Addressing traders and market women at Essi Layout Ward 9 in Warri South LGA, Comr. Efetobor made them to understand that to make positive change in leadership, first the electorates (eligible voters) must register with INEC to collect their PVCs, stressing that the PVC is their right, civic responsibility and weapon to elect credible servant leaders to represent them in government.
He noted that without the PVCs, they cannot vote in good leaders to serve their common interest, adding that the PVC is their power to effect positive change of leadership in the society. He therefore, encourage them to register with INEC so as to collect their PVCs ahead the forthcoming 2023 general elections, saying that this is the only way for them to participate fully in the decision making process by electing capable persons to represent them, Efetobor stated.

Meanwhile, it will interest the general public to note that the exercise was powered by the Hope Restoration Movement (HRM) in order to awaken the market women and other eligible voters to get their voters cards before 2023 elections. The Hope Restoration Movement has not hidden its admiration for the NNPP candidate for Delta South Senatorial District, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (Rtd) who has the mission to restore the people's hope for a better tomorrow.

The exercise was Tagged: ' PVC Concert Ward to Ward Enlightenment Campaign'. It featured side attractions like music entertainment, dance display, Comedy, collation of data of eligible voters for INEC registration among others.

The target is to go round all the eight Local Government Areas in the Senatorial District. The exercise will continue on Monday 6th June, to Pessu, Okumagba and other wards within Warri South LGA in Delta South Senatorial District.

Buhari Shortlist Lawan, Osibanjo Presidential Aspirants as his Successor

Buhari Shortlist Lawan, Osibanjo Presidential Aspirants as his Successor

Abuja_____ President Muhammadu Buhari may have shortlisted Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate President Ahmad Lawan as his prefered successor.

The President had appealed to the APC governors to allow him to pick his preferred successor ahead of the party’s presidential primaries on June 6.

Buhari made the appeal during a meeting with the governors and the National Chairman of the ruling party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday.

A Presidential source disclosed that Buhari is torn between the choice of Lawan and Osinbajo, following the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the PDP presidential candidate.

According to the Daily Sun, a team is looking at the pros and cons of selecting Lawan or Osinbajo, with the view to giving President Buhari informed advice for the final decision to be made on his return from Spain by Friday.

The presidential source said Buhari during his meeting with APC governors carefully highlighted that his choice would be someone capable of driving his visions.

He said Osinbajo has also strongly defended Buhari’s policies and projects, having played a lead role in its execution with the management of key initiatives central to the administration’s strategic imperatives.

The presidential source added that Lawan has also supported key legislation and helped support the President’s external borrowing policy.

It was learned that a lobby group would be raised in the coming days to work in the north and south, depending on who the President chooses between Osinbajo and Lawan.

The lobby group is waiting to meet with northern and southern elders in APC to solicit support for either of the two presidential aspirants.

2023 Presidency: Emeka Ihedioha Likely to Emerge PDP Atiku Running Mate

2023 Presidency: Emeka Ihedioha Likely to Emerge PDP Atiku Running Mate

Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar is reportedly favouring Emeka Ihedioha to emerge as his running mate.

Since Atiku emerged as the flag bearer of the main opposition party the names of Governors Ifeanyi Okowa, Nyesom Wike, Udom Emmanuel have been thrown up as those considered to be the former VP’s running mate.

But sources have now tipped the former Imo state governor, Ihedioha to be selected.

When contacted, Media aide to the former Imo state governor, AIC Akwarandu told Vanguard that Ihedioha’s name is among other names being considered .
He said, “Ihedioha is not Vice President. Atiku is yet to choose. However, his name is among those being tipped for it which he has been indifferent about.”

But a source in the PDP revealed that Ihedioha has been favoured among others to be Atiku’s running mate.

He said, “Ihedioha has a very good relationship with Atiku and Tambuwal but he mobilized for Tambuwal during the primary and we all saw what happened when Atiku needed help, Tambuwal came to his rescue.

“As a party, we are looking at zoning the Vice Presidency slot to the southeast given the support of the region in time past to our party. And when I look at the track records of Ihedioha, he is the best fit for the role.”

Buhari Meets with APC Governors, Seeks Support to Pick his Successor

Buhari Meets with APC Governors, Seeks their support to pick his Successor

ADDRESS BY HIS EXCELLENCY, MUHAMMADU BUHARI, PRESIDENT, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, TO THE PROGRESSIVE GOVERNORS’ FORUM AT THE CONSULTATIVE MEETING HELD AT THE PRESIDENTIAL VILLA, ABUJA, ON TUESDAY, 31ST MAY, 2022

I am delighted to address this gathering of the Progressive Governors’ Forum as part of the consultative processes that have always strengthened the internal dynamics of our Party, the All Progressives Congress, (APC).

2. You will all recall that APC came to power at the center in 2015 through a cohesive machinery, notwithstanding its status as the opposition party. Similarly, in 2019, it was returned to power under my leadership, because of the dividends of democracy delivered to Nigerians irrespective of their political leanings.

3. The Party has since grown in strength and capacity to govern. The key to both electoral successes is the ability of the party to hold consultations and for its members to put the nation above other interests.

4. The transition processes for the 2023 General Elections have commenced in earnest and I note that the most successful Political Parties globally have always relied on their internal cohesion and a strong leadership brand to achieve bigger electoral fortunes. Our party, the APC, shall not be any different, more so as we are still implementing the blueprint for a more prosperous nation.

5. As I begin the final year of my second term as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and leader of the Party, I recognize the compelling need for me to provide stronger leadership to the Party under this transition process and to ensure that it happens in an orderly manner.

6. Such leadership is required so that the Party remains strong and united. It is also needed to improve our electoral fortunes by ensuring that it retains power at the center, hold the great majority in various legislative chambers and also gain additional number of states at state levels.

7. In pursuit of the foregoing objectives, the Party has successfully established internal policies that promote continuity and smooth succession plans even at the state and local government levels. For example, first term Governors who have served credibly well have been encouraged to stand for re-election. Similarly, second term Governors have been accorded the privilege of promoting successors that are capable of driving their visions as well as the ideals of the party.

8. In a few days, the Party will be holding its Convention during which primaries would take place to pick the Presidential Flag Bearer for the 2023 General Elections. This is a very significant process and its outcome should prove to the world, the positive quality of the APC regarding democratic principles, culture as well as leadership.

9. As we approach the Convention, I appeal to all of you to allow our interests to converge, our focus to remain on the changing dynamics of our environment, the expectations of our citizens and the global community. Our objective must be the victory of our party and our choice of the candidate must be someone who would give the Nigerian masses a sense of victory and confidence even before the elections.

10. In keeping with the established internal policies of the Party and as we approach the Convention in a few days, therefore, I wish to solicit the reciprocity and support of the Governors and other stakeholders in picking my successor, who would fly the flag of our party for election into the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.

11. I wish to assure you that the consultation process shall continue to ensure that all aspirants and stakeholders would be brought on board right through to the convention. This would also ensure that any anxiety occasioned by different factors are effectively brought under control and that our party emerges stronger.

12. I thank you all for listening. God bless you all. God bless our Party, the APC and God bless our nation, Nigeria.
