Re: Misconceptions About The Leadership of Bomadi Local Government Council

It has come to our attention that a misleading narrative, termed "Kpakiamarisation" by Barr. Fun-ororo Narebor, is being circulated. This unfounded claim suggests that the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, is leading a government that favors only the interests of Kpakiama.

We unequivocally state that this allegation is baseless, misguided, and completely unfounded. The actions and decisions of the Chairman are firmly rooted in the principles of our constitution and are taken in the best interest of all the people of Bomadi, not just a particular group.
We urge the public to dismiss this misconceived notion and instead recognize the significant progress and development being achieved in Bomadi LGA under the leadership of Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye.

To clarify the facts, it is important to note that the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Bomadi chapter has been plagued by leadership struggles for several years, which culminated in the impeachment of the previous chairman on three separate occasions. This situation has understandably become a matter of serious concern for both security agencies and the council.

In response to the crisis and the emerging security threats, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, took decisive action by convening a meeting with NURTW Bomadi leaders and security agencies. Following a majority vote, the impeached chairman was suspended, and the state leadership under Chief Francis Arhiyor was consulted for further guidance.
"It is crucial to emphasize that the Chairman was never directly involved in the internal processes of the union but instead created the enabling environment for the union members to resolve their crisis amicably. The decision to impeach the former chairman was a collective one, with 9 out of 11 members voting against his continued leadership. This decision was made in the presence of all security agencies, and the Chairman merely affirmed the union's decision, upholding their right to self-governance."

In accordance with the NURTW's constitution, Mr. Miengboghabofa Yerindideke from Kpakiama town, who serves as the State Assistant Secretary, representing Bomadi LGA at the state level, and with the law governing the NURTW was mandated to take responsibility of the union's activities as the Acting Chairman. His appointment was a result of the union's constitutional provisions, reflecting the will of the majority and the laws bidding the NURTW as a union. The Chairman’s role was limited to presiding over and affirming the union’s decision in the presence of security agencies. Therefore, Barr. Narebor's notion of "Kpakiamarisation" is unfounded, stemming from a lack of accurate information and context.

We call on the public, and particularly our learned friend and brother, Barr. Fun-ororo Narebor, to acquaint themselves with these facts before drawing conclusions about the leadership of the council. The Chairman represents the entirety of Bomadi and is dedicated to driving positive change throughout the area.

We encourage Barr. Narebor to engage in constructive dialogue and thorough fact-finding before making public statements, in order to avoid the dissemination of misinformation about our council's leadership. The Chairman remains a unifying force within the council.
