Tompolo Foundation Begins Profiling of 100 ICT Training Beneficiaries in Warri Today

Earlier on Friday, the Tompolo Foundation and Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited in collaboration with PEB ICT Services, has launched lCT training in warri with orientation of one hundred beneficiaries across the Niger Delta region for building of human resource and manpower on digital lnformation and Communication Technology (ICT).

Addressing the youths numbering over one hundred from the various ethnic groups across the Niger Delta region, especially Urhobo, ljaw, lsoko, ltsekiri, Ndokwa and Anioma, the Secretary Tompolo Foundation who also doubles as the CEO PEB ICT Services, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo stated that the program is aimed to empower young persons on various areas in digital technology.

He noted that the current economic hardship in the country can be easily curbed by those with skills on lCT technology and  technical knowhow to be self employed as well as to render professional services on lCT to private firms and government agencies in return for income generation.

He emphasized that the Tompolo Foundation and Tantita Security Services in collaboration with PEB ICT Services deem it fit to give back to society as part of their corporate responsibility, adding that the idea is also to support the government in curshen the hardship by empowering the youths on various skills in order to be self employed.
He charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the rare opportunity of the six months training by dedicating their time to learn and make themselves relevant in the society by contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of the region economy, the statement added.

In a related development, the Director PEB ICT Services, Mr. Moses Major emphasized that the program is to catapult the technical workforce of youths in the South-South Nigeria.

He maintained that the program would build capable manpower in the field of technology across the Niger Delta region whereby the youths can work from anywhere with the technology knowledge they acquired without stress.

He reiterated that there are a lot of benefits awaiting the participants ranging from monthly stipend to ease their transportation and feeding during the program while Laptops shall be given to the best performing participants at the end of the six months intensive training. He urged the beneficiaries to cease the opportunity seriously so as to better their lives.
Meanwhile, the program will commence profiling on Monday 10th March, 2025 starting by 9;30AM daily at PEB ICT Services by Standard School junction, Jakpa road Effurun, warri Delta State.

However, the various areas the program would cover includes; Computer Basics, Graphic Design, Web Development, Cyber Security and Data Analysis.

Some of the beneficiaries Mike Ugedi, Victor Akemotubo, Oyinbi Onduku, Annabel and Bakumo expressed joy for the opportunity to learn, while thanking the sponsors of the program for their benevolence and commitment to the growth of Niger Delta youths in the digital world embedded with so much opportunity to excel in life.
