Actress Ayo Mogaji urges Nigerian single women at 35 to start getting pregnant for any man, gives reason

Actress Ayo Mogaji urges Nigerian single women at 35 to start getting pregnant for any man, gives reason

Veteran Yoruba actress Ayo Mogaji recently shared her thoughts on the struggles women face with marriage, especially as they approach 35. In an interview on Oyinmomo TV’s YouTube channel, she gave advice to women who are still single by that age.

Mogaji suggested that women who aren’t married by 35 should consider having a child, even if the man isn’t ready to be a father. She stressed the importance of becoming a mother and encouraged women to follow their desire for a family instead of waiting for the perfect moment.

She also pointed out that many women focus too much on their careers and personal achievements, which can delay marriage. While success is important, Mogaji warned that time moves fast, and women may later feel unfulfilled in their personal lives.

Additionally, she mentioned how some men view women between 35 and 40, which can make dating even harder for women in this age group, adding more pressure as they try to balance their choices and wishes.
Mogaji said, "A woman who can't find a husband at age 35 should get pregnant for any man to have a child. If the woman can find any man she is close to, even if he isn't ready to take responsibility, she should go ahead and have a child."

HRH King-Jerry Lauds Otuaro Reform Policy's in the Amnesty Program, Calls for N'Deltans Support

Francis Tayor

Warri _____ Following the laudable reform initiatives introduced to reposition the Presidential Amnesty Programme for the general interest of the ex-agitators of the Niger Delta region, the Amanana-owei ll of Meinbutus Federated Communities Worldwide, HRH. King-Jerry James Nakpose Pere-ela Prebor Snr, has commended the administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief (Dr.) Dennis Burutu Otuaro for his laudable reforms ongoing in the amnesty office.
King Jerry make the commendation on Thursday at his palace in Olabrakonpre Community Warri kingdom, while playing host to the press noted that he was overwhelmed by the sterling leadership acumen of Dennis Otuaro, especially the rehabilitation program he introduced to save the lives of our youths from drug abuse which had already sent most of them to early grave and rendered others useless in the society.

He lamented that his heart bleeds whenever he sees most of the promising youth lives cut short as result of hard drug intake in Meinbutus Federated Communities.
King Jerry maintained that with the setting up of rehabilitation centers by the Otuaro led amnesty program, the youths of Niger Delta, especially victims of the ljaw liberation struggle would be reintegrated back to the society to live a fulfilled life with their family and loved ones.

He however, called on Niger Delta leaders, critical stakeholders and the youths to support Dr. Dennis Otuaro led amnesty program so as to enable him deliver on the mandate given to him by Mr President, His Excellency, Sen. Refrain from Peddling Lies Against Otuaro, Tompolo, ljaw Group Cautions Gbaboyor

Refrain from Peddling Lies Against Otuaro, Tompolo, ljaw Group Cautions Gbaboyor

Press release
2nd October, 2024.

PAP: Refrain from spreading falsehoods against Otuaro, Tompolo -Group lambasts unguided Jude Gbaboyor

The Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative (IPDI) has strongly condemned the recent video posted by one Jude Gbaboyor, suspected to have been an apologist of an ex-agitator Ben Ebikabowei, alias Boyloaf, accusing Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro PhD of revealing a sensitive document that allegedly saved former President Goodluck Jonathan. The video also attempted to discredit High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, a highly respected advocate for the freedom of Niger Delta region.

This was contained in a statement signed by the group's national secretary Comrade Peter Luke, and BoT chairman , Cletus Itari where a copy was sent to newsmen on Wednesday.

The IPDI described Gbaboyor's actions as a desperate attempt to seek cheap fame by maligning reputable individuals. They emphasised that Dr. Otuaro has no connection to the purported document and that these accusations are merely a smear campaign.
"Gbaboyor's malicious campaign will only tarnish his boss Boyloaf's reputation. His divisive propaganda will ultimately backfire. It's misguided to accuse Dr. Otuaro of being involved in a document he knew nothing about. Instead, Gbaboyor should direct his concerns to the DSS or previous amnesty program administrators who might have valuable insights.

"It's shameful that while others celebrate Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro's appointment as an administrator of the presidential Amnesty Programme, Gbaboyor and his paymaster continue to plot against their own brother for selfish gains. This destructive behavior is not only shameful but it exposes the evil intentions of Gbaboyor and his boss towards Dr. Otuaro.

"Dr. Otuaro is a distinguished leader in the Niger Delta struggle, and it's shameful for Gbaboyor to suggest otherwise," the IPDI stated. "His actions expose a secret agenda to tarnish the reputation of Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo.", the group reiterated.

"We will not tolerate reckless misinformation and character assassination," the IPDI concluded. "We stand solidly behind Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo, who have tirelessly worked for the betterment of our people."

"The accusation is baseless and unfounded, you don't accuse someone of what he doesn't know just because you merely saw Otuaro's photos in the DM of the person who posted the alleged document.

"We want to outrightly let the insane Gbaboyor know that Otuaro was a key player in the Niger Delta struggle, and it is only a poor student of history that will erroneously say that Otuaro is enjoying the efforts of Boyloaf. This is shameful and childish".

The IPDI urged the mischievous Gbaboyor to refrain from spreading falsehoods and to focus on constructive contributions to unite Ijaw leaders rather than divisive ploys. They strongly emphasised that Dr. Otuaro and Tompolo remain unfazed by these baseless accusations.
The IPDI's statement served as a call to action, promoting fact-based discourse and respect for leaders working towards positive change in the Niger Delta region.

Read The Amazing Address Delivered at the Launch of Arogbo Ibe Voice Newspaper By Dr. Dennis Otuaro

On behalf of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr Dennis Otuaro, who was a distinguished guest of honour at the Launching of Arogbo-Ibe Voice media outlet, Mr. Samuel Twatimi, Head of PAP Ondo State Liaison Office, delivered the following speech:

Distinguished elders, honored guests, esteemed members of the media, and my fellow Niger Deltans,

It is a profound privilege to stand before you today, bearing the goodwill and message of Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. We gather here not merely to celebrate the birth of a news platform, but to witness the dawn of a new era for the Arogbo Ibe Kingdom—a time when our stories, aspirations, and collective strength will resonate far beyond these shores through the lens of Arogbo Ibe Voice News.

In the annals of history, there comes a moment when a people must rise and take charge of their destiny. This moment, dear friends, is upon us. The Niger Delta has long been known for its rich cultural tapestry and the wealth of natural resources beneath our feet. Yet, it is unity, above all, that will be the key to unlocking our future potential. As the saying goes, "United we stand, divided we fall." Now is the time for us to bind our spirits together, as strands in a mighty cord, unbreakable in our shared purpose.

Since assuming office just a few months ago, Dr. Otuaro has taken swift and meaningful action to ensure that the path toward sustainable peace and development in the Niger Delta is not just imagined but realized. His tireless efforts include numerous consultations with women groups, ex-agitators, and other critical stakeholders across the region. These meetings have been vital in fostering dialogue, promoting reconciliation, and ensuring that the voices of all Niger Deltans are heard and integrated into the broader vision of lasting peace.
Under Dr. Otuaro’s ’s steady and visionary leadership, the Presidential Amnesty Programme has made significant strides toward nurturing peace and fostering development. But make no mistake, peace is not merely the absence of conflict—it is the presence of justice, opportunity, and hope. Dr. Otuaro has labored tirelessly to sow these seeds, yet it falls upon us, the people, to water them with our faith and cooperation, for only then will they bear the fruit of sustainable progress.

The media, my friends, holds the sacred responsibility of being the heartbeat of society. Platforms like Arogbo Ibe Voice News have the power not only to inform but to transform. I implore our media to be more than just spectators in this unfolding narrative. Be the champions of unity, the heralds of our victories, and the voice of the voiceless. Like a lighthouse guiding ships to safety, the media must illuminate the path forward, fostering understanding, cooperation, and solidarity among our communities.

Let us not be as reeds swayed by the wind of division, but as the oak, deeply rooted in our shared values and purpose. The Niger Delta is a land brimming with untapped potential—our youth, our culture, our resources—all waiting to be harnessed for the greater good. By uniting our hearts and minds, we can create a region where prosperity is not the exception, but the rule.

I must commend the initiators of Arogbo Ibe Voice News for their bold vision. This platform stands as a testament to the power of storytelling—a medium through which we can showcase our resilience, our culture, and our unity to the world. I have no doubt that Arogbo Ibe Voice News will serve as both the mirror and the megaphone of the Niger Delta's aspirations.

In closing, let me leave you with this: the road ahead will not be without its challenges. But as long as we stand together, in unity and cooperation, we will overcome. Let us move forward with the shared vision of peace and development, hand in hand with Dr. Otuaro's tireless commitment to a prosperous Niger Delta. The time for action is now, and the responsibility lies with us all.

Thank you, and once again, congratulations to Arogbo Ibe Voice News on this historic launch. May it shine brightly as a beacon of hope and unity for generations to come.

Just-ln: Niger Delta Women Condemn NNPCL Vice President's Character Assassination

Just-ln: Niger Delta Women Condemn NNPCL Vice President's Character Assassination

*Press Statement: Women of the Niger Delta Condemn Character Assassination of Mrs. Eyesan Oritsemyinwa**

We, the Women of the Creek Movement (WCM), hereby express our firm opposition to the malicious campaign being propagated by the so-called Niger Delta Peoples Stakeholders Forum (NDPSF) against our daughter and pride, Mrs. Eyesan Oritsemyinwa, Executive Vice President (Upstream) of NNPC Limited. The baseless allegations and defamatory remarks aimed at tarnishing her well-earned reputation are nothing more than attempts to block her rightful ascent to a position she is fully qualified for by merit.

We categorically disassociate ourselves from this shameful and retrogressive act perpetrated by faceless individuals who do not have the region's or the nation's best interests at heart. Such reckless actions are not only harmful but could also destabilize the peace and unity in the Niger Delta region, threatening the overall well-being of our country.

It is disheartening to see a few individuals used by external forces to sow discord and discredit a woman of exceptional integrity, professionalism, and accomplishments. Mrs. Oritsemyinwa has dedicated over 30 years of her life to service in the oil and gas industry, consistently delivering outstanding results with a proven track record of success. Attempts to malign her character and derail her well-deserved recognition are not only counterproductive but also deeply unjust.

The NNPC Limited, in its 47 years of existence, has yet to see a woman rise to the rank of Executive Vice President, a historic milestone that Mrs. Oritsemyinwa is poised to achieve. Her leadership has been instrumental in driving innovations and tackling industry-wide challenges such as insecurity, operational inefficiencies, and sustainability. Her achievements include spearheading significant exploration projects, unlocking billions of dollars in eco-friendly investments, and championing the Nigerian gas commercialization efforts.
Mrs. Oritsemyinwa’s rise is not only a testament to her capabilities but also a beacon of hope for the women of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large. She has served with unwavering dedication, integrity, and professionalism. Her career exemplifies the highest standards of leadership and competence, and her continued success will inspire future generations of Nigerian women.

We call on the relevant authorities to disregard the baseless attacks on Mrs. Oritsemyinwa's character and instead recognize her well-deserved contributions. Her rightful appointment to a leadership role will mark a significant step forward for both gender equality and meritocracy in Nigeria.

As women of the Niger Delta, we stand firmly behind Mrs. Eyesan Oritsemyinwa, and we urge the government to support her ascent to a position that reflects her capabilities and achievements. We cannot allow the actions of a few to undermine the progress of an entire region, nor can we afford to let character assassination derail the advancement of our women.

It is time for history to be made. Let the name of Mrs. Eyesan Oritsemyinwa be etched alongside other global female leaders who have shattered glass ceilings. Let her success be a powerful message to our young girls that hard work, integrity, and education can indeed pave the way for greatness.

We thank you.

Meanwhile, Jerry Mulade-Aroh representing Gbaramatu Kingdom, Mr Mathew Itsekure, representing Itsekiri Oil and Gas producing communities and Hon Friday Ugedi, representing Egbema Kingdom all in Delta also sought to be joined as plaintiffs in the suit, demanding that is the turn of Itsekiri or Ijaw to produce the chairman as the highest quantum producers.

At Tuesday’s proceedings, plaintiffs through their lawyer Mr Egberipou Sotonye Barakemi, urged the court to dismiss the preliminary objection filed by President Tinubu and the AGF, adding that the court should dismiss the entire case of all the respondents for lacking in merit.

Mrs Maimuna Lami Ashiru, representing President Tinubu and the AGF, Umaru Jibril, representing the National Assembly and Emmanuel Akumaye, representing NDDC and Ebie, in their respective reply urged the court to dismiss the suit for want of jurisdiction.

After listening to all parties, Justice Abdulmalik announced that ruling in the preliminary objection to the suit as well as her judgement in the main suit would be delivered on October 31, this year.

In the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/28/2024, and filed January 11, 2024, the plaintiffs claimed that both President Tinubu and the National Assembly contravened the NDDC Act by screening and appointing Ebie Chiedu as NDDC Board Chairman.

Niger Delta activist Comrade Mulade Sheriff insists that although Ebie is from an oil producing State but, was however not qualified for appointment as board chairman because he was not from the highest oil producing area in Delta State.

Mulade argued that Ebie’s appointment “was done horribly in error for political reasons and is against the clear provisions of the NDDC law. Therefore, called on President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to immediate replacement him with someone with the requisite capacity and competence from core host communities in Delta State to give sense of belonging for participatory inclusiveness.

The Niger Delta-born renowned environmental rights activist has again urged the National Assembly lawmakers to adhere strictly to the provisions of the law irrespective of political affiliation for the interest of Nigerians, especially host communities because we cannot continued to play politics with our daily bastardized environment and future.

“That the screening and confirmation of the 5th defendant by the Nigerian Senate was also done in error and was against the clear provisions of the law.

“That as a result of the facts above and in particular the facts in paragraphs 2 – 11, the appointment of the 5th defendant is null, void and of no effect”.

The plaintiffs through their lawyer, B. B. Abalaba, had asked the court to determine whether Ebie who is from a community with minimal oil production is qualifed to be the chairman of the 4th defendant (Niger Delta Development Commission)?

Other issues raised for determination are: Whether the appointment of the 5th defendant by the 1st defendant as the chairman of the 4th defendant is not in contravention of the NDDC Act?

“Whether the appointment of the 5th defendant by the 1st defendant as the chairman of the 4th defendant is not Illegal null and void?

They therefore prayed the court for an order “setting aside the appointment of the 5th defendant as the chairman of the 4th defendant by the 1s defendant.
“An order of injunction restraining the 5th defendant from assuming office or in any way acting as the chairman of the 4th defendant.

“An order of injunction restraining the 4th defendant from recognizing the 5th defendant as its chairman or allowing him access into its premises for the purpose of beginning or continuing work as its chairman.

“An order of injunction restraining the 5th defendant from holding himself out as the chairman of the 4th defendant”.
