growing into trees that bear fruits of peace and plenty.

He is the kind of leader the Ijaw dream of when the moon is bright,  

the leader the rivers remember and bless.  

God placed him among us like rain to thirsty farm lands,  

and the Delta now answers with drums, dancing, and songs of gratitude.  

He lifts burdens as a fisherman lifts nets heavy with joy.  

Otuaro, the tide-bringer, the star that rises before dawn,  

your name travels through every hut, every canoe, every market.  

Your works are rivers that refresh the land,  

your love is a lantern that never goes out.

Prof. INEC, you have left the stage,  

slipping away into retirement,  

not like a hero waving to a thankful crowd,  

but like a shadow sneaking behind the curtains at sunset.  

And yet, your footprints remain on the shore of our democracy,  

dark prints we will remember,  

and wounds we will never forget.  

You promised light but delivered darkness.  

You wore your many degrees like a shining crown,  

spoke fine words about integrity,  

filled the air with sermons about technology,  

about guarding the ballot from human hands,  

about transparency flowing like a clear river.  

But when the hour of truth arrived,  

you turned that crown into rust,  

you shut the gates to the river  

and let the water of hope turn muddy and foul.  

Ten long years,  

you sat in the palace of elections,  

feeding on billions meant to build trust.  

You painted the walls with the word innovation,  

drummed free and fair into our ears,  

and promised a ballot stronger than greed.  

But on that February night of 2023,  

when the people’s voices were supposed to be heard,  

your machines of light became corpses of silence,  

your technology caught a sudden fever,  

and glitches became the language of betrayal.  

You told us the truth broke down in transit,  

that votes could not find their way home  

because some phantom problem had stolen their wings.  

But we saw you, Professor,  

we saw your hand in the dimming of the lights,  

we saw your silence when the numbers bent like wet palm fronds,  

we saw your smile when the air grew sour with disbelief.  

And now you’re gone, 

washed clean by the hands that crowned you,  

bathed in praises from the same throne that danced  

while the people choked in the smoke of glitches.  

You return home a hero in the eyes of your paymasters,  

but to us, the people,  

you are the architect of broken ballots,  

the builder of a house where trust cannot live,  

the cobbler of shoes that cannot walk the road of democracy.  

You did not just fail us,  

you taught a dangerous lesson:  

that here, in our wounded land,  

a man can steal the people’s voice  

and still walk away with baskets of honour.  

You showed that here,  

power is not earned but arranged,  

and elections are not led by truth but by those  

who can bend the rules until they break.  

But know this, Professor of Glitches,  

2027 will not be like 2023,  

if the people lift their heads from the pillow of silence,  

if two hundred million hearts beat together like war drums,  

if the ocean of voices rises to flood the castle of deceit.  

The process that gives power  

matters more than the power itself,  

and one day, even the tallest walls of trickery will fall.  

We are wounded people now,  

our democracy limps with a bleeding leg,  

but when we stand,  

when we push back the chains of dishonesty,  

when we break the lock you helped to forge,

your kind will no longer hold the keys to our future.  

Until then, rest, Professor of Glitches.  

But your rest will be haunted.

not in the hall of honour,

Nigeria's National Security: President Tinubu Shake-Up Nigeria Military Leadership, Appoints New Service Chiefs

President Bola Tinubu has sacked General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff, along with other service chiefs, in a major shake-up of Nigeria’s military leadership.

The announcement was made on Friday by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Public Communication. General Musa has been replaced by General Olufemi Oluyede, who previously served as Chief of Army Staff.

The new appointments are as follows:

●Chief of Defence Staff: General Olufemi Oluyede

●Chief of Army Staff: Major-General W. Shaibu

●Chief of Air Staff: Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke

●Chief of Naval Staff: Rear Admiral I. Abbas

●Major-General E.A.P. Undiendeye retains his position as Chief of Defence Intelligence.

According to the statement, President Tinubu made the changes to strengthen Nigeria’s national security architecture. He expressed appreciation to the outgoing chiefs for their service and leadership and charged the newly appointed service chiefs to uphold professionalism, vigilance, and the spirit of camaraderie that define the Nigerian Armed Forces.

INEC: TINUBU SWEARS IN NEW CHAIRMAN, TASKS HIM ON ELECTORAL INTEGRITY

• As Amupitan Assunes Duty, Demands Staff Unity To Boost Electoral Confidence

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday charged the newly sworn-in Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN to protect and improve the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral system in order to strengthen the nation’s democracy.

The President gave the charge at the State House while inaugurating the new INEC Chairman ahead of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting. 

He urged Professor Amupitan to uphold transparency, fairness and credibility in the conduct of elections.

President Tinubu noted that the future of Nigeria’s democratic development depends largely on the commission’s integrity.

Thereafter, the Chairman of INEC, Professor Amupitan, SAN, formally assumed office and described his appointment as a divine mandate to service.

He spoke at INEC headquarters office shortly after the Acting Chairman Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu performed a formal handover to him.

Professor Amupitan vowed to uphold integrity, transparency, and discipline in the management of Nigeria’s electoral process.

He charged staff to "break down silos" and foster open communication to create an environment where every voice is heard and valued.

The new INEC chairman also stressed that sure internal synergy was crucial for strengthening democracy and restoring national electoral confidence, which has been impacted by voter apathy.

He identified the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election, scheduled for 8th November 2025, as a "pivotal opportunity" for INEC to demonstrate its commitment to free and fair elections.

Professor Amupitan also announced that staff welfare would be a top priority, promising to be just and fair in meeting staff expectations given the high demands expected of them.

In her handover address,Acting Chairman Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu noted that Professor Amupitan was "assuming office at a most crucial time" as preparations for the Anambra poll reach their final stage.

Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri — The Niger Delta Right Watch (NDRW) has strongly condemned the recent statement by the Niger Delta Progressive Alliance (NDPA) commending Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) while challenging Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TANTITA) to adopt a so-called “people-focused surveillance framework.”

In a swift rebuttal, NDRW described NDPA’s comments as uninformed, misleading and dismissive of the unparalleled impact TANTITA has had on both Nigeria’s energy security and the socio-economic transformation of the Niger Delta.

 

Tantita: The Turning Point in Nigeria’s Energy Recovery:

According to the group, said: “No private security outfit in Nigeria’s history has delivered measurable, life-changing results like Tantita Security Services.”

Under its operations, Nigeria’s crude oil output, which had plunged below 900,000 barrels per day due to rampant theft and sabotage has rebounded to over 1.7 million barrels per day. This historic recovery restored billions in national revenue and stabilized the country’s energy-dependent economy.

Tantita’s decisive actions, in partnership with the Nigerian Navy, NNPC Limited and other security agencies, have dismantled hundreds of illegal refineries, neutralized oil theft cartels and reclaimed waterways once controlled by criminal syndicates, NDRW stated.

He came like the morning sun stretching its golden fingers across the calm waters,  

carrying a lantern of compassion to light the paths of the people.  

With steady feet and a warm heart,  

Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro stepped into the seat of leadership in the Presidential Amnesty Programme,  

and became the gardener of hopes,  

watering the dreams of youth, women, widows, and ex-agitators  

until they began to bloom in the soil of possibility.  

In the classroom of vision, he was the headmaster of change.  

Scholarship opportunities grew from 1,700 to 2,500,  

spreading like rivers into every part of the Niger Delta  

and touching students from many ethnic groups and states.  

A hundred young souls learned the language of the sea,  

training in maritime skills to steer ships and build careers.  

Four pilots received their wings in faraway South Africa,  

forty-five trained in aviation engineering until they could work with the engines of the sky.  

In workshops and training centers,  

he gave ex-agitators tools for building instead of tools for destruction,  

turning restless waves into calm waters.

those silent pillars who carried the weight of stormy days,  

whose tears mingled with the rivers during the years of agitation.  

For the first time since the birth of the amnesty programme,

and a thousand found the gift of economic empowerment,

each one ready to feed the land with progress.  

Vocational skills for the unemployed young men and women,  

computer training for the rural youth  

so they can pass exams and climb the ladder of education,  

grants for mothers to strengthen the fires in their kitchen and the smiles in their homes.  

Craft centers to awaken talents sleeping in idle hands,  

agriculture projects to make the women of the Delta  

farmers, fishers, and business owners in their own right.  

Leadership training for ex-agitators and community guardians,  

unity woven into every initiative so no one is left behind.  

And above all, programmes to keep the youth away from drugs and the trap of hopelessness,  

replacing weakness with the dignity of work.  

He wears compassion like a royal robe,  

his crown is the trust of the people,  

his idea is the transformation he brings to their lives.  

He serves not for self,  

but for the fisherman’s child who dreams of becoming a pilot,  

for the widow who needs a lamp when her night is long,  

for the ex-agitator who now wants nothing more than a hammer and nails and tools to build a future.  

Dr.  Otuaro, you are the guiding light in the creeks,  

the captain whose boat is filled not with cargo but with hope,  

the farmer who plants peace in the heart of the Delta,  

the bridge that connects dreams to reality.

When Tinubu resigned from Mobil to join politics, invested his hard earned money to change the politics of Nigeria. When the military truncated the democracy, and Tinubu was on the list of those to be kpaied. And Tinubu jumped on a motorbike to escape to Benin Republic and then, Europe. 

When Tinubu was raising funds for NADECO to fight the military and bring back Democracy. When TINUBU’s house was bombed in Ikoyi. When Tinubu eventually returned, became Lagos Governor and Obasanjo withheld the Lagos LGs allocation. When Obasanjo declared election as do or kpai and set PDP hooligans against the Jagaban. When Tinubu became the only Progressive standing in the SW. Hmmm

When Tinubu launched a counterattack against the PDP and retrieved all the lost grounds in the West and part of Midwest. When Tinubu became the only key that could open the Villa door to Buhari. When Tinubu was openly ostracized and demonized by the Villa Cabal. When Tinubu mentees were used against him in Abuja. When Tinubu was treated like a leper! Chai!

When TINUBU’s properties were burnt down and his life was directly hunted by the EnSars terrorists….”catch him, he’s in London, get him he’s in France” and Tinubu was picking the calls of his arsonists saying “I remain the Asiwaju of Lagos”! Kalm Marine debunks false land ownership claims, cites court ruling, advices aggrieved parties to settle amicably wittout conflict

Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited, an indigenous oil company operating in Delta State, Nigeria, has condemned a recent invasion of its operational facility at Ogbanabou Marginal Field in Warri South-West Local Government Area. 

According to a press statement, which was signed by the management and a copy was sent to PEBNEWS said, the attack, carried out on July 26, 2025, by individuals falsely claiming to represent Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan, is seen as an unwarranted disruption to the company's operations.

Statement in full:

Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited, an indigenous oil company is suffering persistent attacks by a faceless group claiming to be land owners.

On the 26th of July 2025, certain persons claiming to be representatives of a non-existent Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan, invaded Kalm Marine’s operational facility at PPL 213, located at Ogbanabou Marginal Field in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State. Prior to that incident, Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited had operated without a single community related or other incident for over two years. 

These persons who previously had been dealing with KMSPL as an impacted community known as Efietonghan family, which is a part of the Diebiri Clan (Diebiri Town) in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, are the same person’s now masquerading themselves as Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan.

Prior to the commencement of operations, and in line with the best stakeholder management protocols of Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited, reviewed documentation received from her predecessor-in-title to the asset (Ogbanabou Marginal Field), and engaged with all communities in the vicinity. Following this individual engagement, On the 8th of August 2023, KMPSL conveyed a joint engagement with stakeholders of the various communities identified in the vicinity of the facility. That meeting crystallized the company’s operational policy for community management. 

In that meeting, Pastor Samuel Ako and Mr. Henry Suoware of Efietonghan family and Mr. Orubu Emmanuel (the then Chairman of Diebiri Clan), agreed that Efietonghan family should be included as stakeholders representing Diebiri Clan (Diebiri Town), as it was their tradition to do things communally. Consequently, KMPSL has been dealing with Efietonghan family of Diebiri Clan as an impacted community in the Ogbanabou Marginal Field operations. 

The consensus reached by the joined stakeholders meeting of 8th August 2023 was that Ijansa/ Ijelejele/ Ikeremor is the primary host community to KMPSL’s operational location in PPL 213, and the other communities and families should be carried along as impacted communities.

Based on this consensus, a series of Needs Assessments were carried out between October to December 2023, in which all communities, including the host and impacted communities participated voluntarily. Their needs were assessed and inputted into the Host Community Development Trust process and registration. The Efietonghan family also benefited from payments to impacted communities, which they continued to receive while work was ongoing at the location.

Following the Needs Assessments process, the Host Community Development Trust registration process was commenced, culminated in the registration of the Ijansa/Ijelejele/Ikeremor Host Community Development Trust. The process was completed on the 20th of January 2025, and the Board of Trustees (BOT) inaugurated on the 20th of March, 2025. These 

painstaking processes were completed without objection or challenge from any stakeholder or impacted communities. On this basis, Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited has continued to deal with all her host and impacted communities.

Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited is committed to maintaining good working relationships with all communities, whether host or impacted. In this regard, it has continued to provide material support to communities outside of the statutory Host Community Development Trust obligations.

Therefore, the invasion of its operational base on the 26th of July 2025, by persons claiming to be members of the non-existent Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan, is an unwarranted and unjustified attempt to coarse the management of KMPSL to go outside the procedures of the PIA 2021 and Joint Stakeholder consensus of 8th August, 2023, by some faceless 

persons. It is noteworthy that this change in behavior of leaders of the Efietonghan family of Diebiri Clan (Diebiri Town) coincides with the change in leadership of Diebiri Clan. Persons who had previously been introduced to KMPSL as the new leaders of Diebiri Clan turned around to make demands as leaders of a non-existent Ogbanabou Federated Communities-Diebiri Clan. This explains why they were granted peaceful access to our operational base, only for them to unfurl placards and make unsubstantiated claims.

The management of Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited, is fortified in its position stated above by the facts of a case decided by the Court of Appeal, 3 decades ago in Appeal No: CA/B/137/87 between Chief Kenerkedi Bebeakeie and 2 Ors v. Alokpa Olioki and 4 Ors, which settled the ownership of land amongst the various communities in the vicinity. It may interest the public to know that the Efietonghan family of Diebiri community (in that case), chose to bear witness in favour of the 3rd party challengers who lost 

the case.

It is thus curious that persons who are now claiming to be owners of land and disrupting our operations 3 decades ago chose to be witnesses rather than claimants.

We have again received threats from the perpetrators of the last invasion, giving ultimatums, and stating their wish to close down our operational 

facility at Ogbanabou Marginal Field. 

Please be advised that Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited, is duly authorized to carry out its activities under all applicable laws, licenses, and approvals. Any attempt by individuals or groups to disrupt, hinder, or unlawfully interfere with our operations, constitutes a violation of the law and will be resisted within the ambits of the law. Relevant security agencies 

have been contacted.

Nevertheless, Kalm Marine and Petroleum Services Limited will continue to maintain good working relationships with all parties and will continue to advice all parties who had grievances to settle their differences amicably.

Just-ln: Emefiele refunds N4 trillion loots to FG as Obazee special investigative team recovers over N12 trillion looted under Buhari's led administration

The former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, has reportedly refunded a whopping N4 trillion to the coffers of the Federal Government stolen while he was at the helm of affairs of the apex bank.

According to a source close to the investigators reportedly returning N4 trillion, Emefiele also allegedly gave up ownership of six banks linked to him.

In a related development, the source revealed that a former CBN Deputy Governor, Tunde Lemo, also reportedly refunded $500 million embezzled taxpayers’ money.

The most shocking of all, however, was the discovery of $275 million in the bank account of a six year old son of Sabiu Yusuf, a.k.a Tunde, a Personal Assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Also discovered was another N1.5 trillion in the personal account of the former Personal assistant to former President Buhari.

The source said: “The Special Investigator, Jim Osayande Obazee and his committee, allegedly discovered $275 million in an account in a new generation bank belonging to six years old son of Sabiu Yusuf.

“Another N1.5 trillion also allegedly traced to Yusuf, a very influential member of the former President Mohammadu Buhari’s Govt.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently negotiating, using some influential Nigerians on how to refund the funds without being exposed.

“Only recently, National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, lamented that the current administration inherited a bankrupt country from the Buhari’s government due to the large scale looting that occurred then.”

It could be recalled that Tinubu employed the services of Mr. Obazee, a Special Investigator, to investigate the activities of CBN under Emefiele and related entities.

So far, Obazee has recovered over N12 trillion looted mostly by members of the former President Buhari’s administration.

The source also claimed that the committee has also rejected several millions of Dollars in bribe offers.

Nigerian Senate Passes Life Imprisonment Bill on Sexual Intercourse with a Minor into Law

..... As bill awaits presidential assent

The Nigerian Senate has passed a new bill imposing life imprisonment on anyone - man or woman found guilty of having sexual intercourse with a minor. 

The law which offers no option of fines, aims to strengthen child protection and deter sexual abuse across the country.

This is a strong step towards protecting our children and ensuring that predators, rapists, and child abusers face the full weight of the law.

However, the bill now awaits presidential assent to take effect.

DR. DENNIS OTUARO: THE RAINMAKER WHO BROUGHT BACK THE RIVER OF BLESSINGS__The Man who plants the Seeds of Tomorrow_

Long ago, in the heart of the Niger Delta,  

The river of blessings stopped flowing.  

It was once full of fish,  

Full of songs,  

Full of canoes carrying dreams across its waters.  

But then, the river went dry.  

Programmes that fed the youth with skills were forgotten,  

Boats of learning lay abandoned,  

And the pathways to opportunity grew over with weeds.  

The people waited,  

And the elders said,  

“Only one with the heart of the land can call the river back.”   

One dawn, when the mist still kissed the water,  

A man walked from the creeks to the great meeting ground.  

His name carried the sound of oars striking the tide...

And the people’s laughter was as sweet as ripe fruit.

These are not mere numbers, 

They were footprints towards a sunrise none will forget 

Dr. Otuaro called together all voices,

Ex-agitators who once knew the edge of conflict.

Community leaders who hold the wisdom of the elders,

Women whose hands cradle the future,

Traditional rulers whose words still carry the echo of our ancestors,

In thier circle,

The air was thick with unity, 

And the river of trust began to flow again 

Otuaro is a leadership of service.

His leadership is a tree rooted deep in the Delta earth,

Drawing strength from ancestral waters,

Stretching its branches towards the future 

His shade is for the weary,

His fruit is for the willing,

His presence is a beacon to all who wander 

In search of a leader worth following.

Some leaders stand far away,  

But Otuaro stands among his people.  

He listens when the palm leaves rustle,  

He walks the sandy roads where children play.  

He knows that peace is not given by words alone;  

It is built by giving the youth a future to hold onto.  

It is built stone by stone,

Skill by skill,

Hand in hand with the people he serves 

He listens and carries the voices of the people into the halls of policy.

In old stories, they speak of the Rainmaker,

The one who dances until the skies remember to bless the land.  

Dr. Otuaro is our Rainmaker.  

He has brought back the river of youth opportunity,  

Not by magic,  

But by wisdom,
