Bomadi ____ The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, on Thursday, 18th July , 2024, sworn-in the twenty newly elected councillors who will steer the 10th legislative business of the council in accordance with the rule of law as the third tier of government.
The ceremony was
held at the Chairman's Conference Hall, was attended by the twenty elected councillors, their spouses, well-wishers, party leaders faithful supporters among others.
During the inauguration ceremony, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye urged the newly elected councillors to uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the rules and regulations of the Nigerian state, particularly, Delta State.
"The time for electioneering campaigns is over. Now, it is time to focus on good governance to ensure that the electorates of Bomadi enjoy more dividends of democracy in their various wards across the council areas," he stated.
He further charged the elected councillors to be good ambassadors of the party in their wards, by implementing the M.O.R.E. AGENDA of the Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori's leadership, and by serving the people selflessly and passionately.
While taking their Oaths of Office, Allegiance, and Secrecy, the newly elected councillors pledged to govern with fairness and integrity.
The event also featured the signing of the Oaths of Office, Allegiance, and Secrecy by the councillors. Thereafter, they proceeded to the Clerk of Bomadi Local Government Council for their formal inauguration as councillors of the 10th Assembly of the Bomadi Legislative Arm.
However, the following principal officers where elected by the House:
*Rt. Hon. Wurukeseiye Tamaradoubra as Leader of the 10th Assembly,
*Rt. Hon. Musa Rita as Deputy Leader.
*Hon. Porbeni Cletus as Majority Leader and Hon. Egbebo Rofina as Deputy Majority Leader among others.
