Dagidi Sworn-ln as Executive Chairman Bomadi LGA, Pledges to Serve The Peoples lnterest
Asaba____ Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye of Kpakiama town, along with his vice, Hon. Powei Guembe Bekes, took the oath of office as Chairman and Vice Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, respectively, on Monday in Asaba.
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, administered the oath at a ceremony held at the Dome Event Centre in Asaba, Delta State.
In his inauguration speech, Hon. Dagidi reiterated his commitment to prioritizing the council in all his actions. “For us, it is Bomadi Local Government Council first. Our council and her people are our primary responsibility; thus, we shall place their interests above all others throughout our tenure," he said.
At a reception held in his hometown, Kpakiama, Hon. Dagidi emphasized the significance of the political mandate entrusted to him. "We are here to bear the burdens and uphold the resolutions of our people for the next three years to move Bomadi LGA forward. We will not disappoint you," he pledged.
“We will continue to stand up for Bomadi Local Government Council and defend her interests, no matter the challenges. We will not abandon the collective interest of Bomadi Local Government Council for the sake of political expediency."
The Chairman further pledged his administration's alignment with the M.O.R.E AGENDA of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori's government, aiming to bring the dividends of democracy to his constituents. He also called for partnerships with relevant national and international agencies to implement his administration's blueprint for economic transformation and development of the council.
Hon. Dagidi commended the people of Bomadi Local Government Area, especially the voters, for their trust and support, which granted him the mandate to serve for the next three years.
“As a government, everyone counts in our policies and decisions. Therefore, we must strive for common ground, solidarity, and work together towards achieving our common goals and aspirations," he concluded.
