Proposed Toru-Ebe State: Late E.K.Clark Community, Kiagbodo Decry non Recognition as LGA Headquarters, Makes A Plea to Tinubu, Diri, NAS, INC, Others

Kiagbodo Community, as the headquarters of Ngbilebiri-Mein Kingdom and the hometown of the late Chief Edwin Clark, a stalwart champion of Ijaw rights, strongly expresses disappointment that it was not included as a proposed Local Government Headquarters in the recent map. Given its historical significance, strategic location, and existing infrastructure, Kiagbodo is well-suited to host a Local Government Headquarters in the proposed Toru-Ebe State for Western Ijaws. 

As a traditional seat of the Ngbilebiri-Mein people and one of the most ancient Mein communities, Kiagbodo already boasts government presence and a well-planned layout. 

Excluding Kiagbodo from consideration would be a disservice to the legacy of Chief Edwin Clark, who dedicated his life to advancing the interests of his people. We respectfully urge the authorities to revisit the proposal and allocate a Local Government Headquarters to Kiagbodo, in recognition of its rightful place and the contributions of its illustrious son.
