EX- AGITATORS BACK DR. DENNIS OTUARO AGAINST "WICKED LIES" OF SOCIAL MEDIA CRITIC:-Voices Unite in Defense of Dr. Otuaro’s Integrity

-- Dr. Otuaro Embodies Peace and Progress in Niger Delta --

Under the humid skies of Abuja, a coalition of former Niger Delta agitators assembled in a determined show of unity and purpose. Microphones crackled and cameras whirred as the Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum (Phase 3) convened a world press briefing to put the record straight regarding what they described as “wicked and malicious” allegations against Dr. Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

Speaking with fiery resolve, the group condemned accusations posted on Facebook on December 6th by social media critic Jude Gbaboyor, who, according to them, had accused Dr. Otuaro of heinous crimes including murder, ritualism, kidnapping, and terrorism financing. These allegations, the ex-agitators insisted, were born not of truth, but of bitterness and the crumbling edifice of personal vendetta. “We want to reaffirm for the world to know,” the spokesperson declared, “that Jude Gbaboyor is a disgraced, bitter and resentful former staff of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, sacked for his involvement in the looting of the agency's Bayelsa warehouse and other unwholesome practices.”

As the air thickened with palpable indignation, the speakers pressed forward, drawing battle lines not just against falsehood but against what they framed as an orchestrated propaganda war. “Jude Gbaboyor’s relentless attacks on Dr. Otuaro are being fueled by a disgruntled former militant leader, Chief Ebikabowei Victor-Ben, who is bitter that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu chose a more qualified technocrat to pilot the Amnesty Office,” they argued, painting the accusations as strands in a web spun for political mischief.

They did not mince words when describing the alleged crimes pinned on Dr. Otuaro. “The lies that Dr. Otuaro is involved in criminal activities like kidnapping, murder, human trafficking and terrorism financing,” one of the leaders asserted, “are not only baseless and unfounded but malicious, callous and wicked—especially as this act of blackmail is coming from a fellow kinsman.” With the cadence of a seasoned orator, he called on Nigerians and the international community to treat the allegations like chaff in the wind, swept away by the tides of truth.

Ratcheting up the rhetoric, the Forum accused Gbaboyor of being “a fugitive” who fled the country after both the Nigeria Police Force and the Office of the National Security Adviser summoned him to present evidence for his explosive claims. “He has been accused of cyberstalking and criminal intimidation after making several outrageous and unsubstantiated claims,” the group said, calling on the Federal Government to initiate extradition proceedings to haul him back to Nigeria for trial. “This action,” they insisted, “will act as a deterrent to several others who may wish to engage in propaganda and blackmail against hardworking citizens and government officials.”

Yet the gathering’s grievances did not end there. Turning to political institutions, the speakers voiced profound disappointment at what they described as harassment by the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives. Just days prior, on December 9th, the committee had given Dr. Otuaro and his team a seven-day ultimatum to respond to purported discrepancies in the audit of N26 billion in Amnesty Programme funds. In the Forum’s view, this move was “deeply unfair” and perilously close to legitimizing false narratives. “The Auditor-General’s audit report being cited does not relate to the current administration led by Dr. Otuaro,” one representative said, linking the probe to “continued falsehood” spread by those with ulterior motives.

They warned that such conduct could fray the fabric of public confidence in Nigeria’s lawmakers. The Forum urged parliamentary leaders to proceed with impartiality and wisdom “so as not to discredit the achievements of Dr. Otuaro and his team” who, they noted, have maintained transparency, prudence, and accountability in managing Amnesty funds since his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In deliberate tones meant to resonate beyond the walls of the press hall, speakers recounted Dr. Otuaro’s accomplishments: timely payment of monthly stipends to beneficiaries, scholarships for Niger Delta youths, leadership development programmes, capacity building for skill acquisition, and expansion of the Amnesty mandate to include impacted women and youth. These, they proclaimed, are the fruits of a steady hand committed to peace and progress—a stark counterpoint to the swamp of allegations swirling around him.

As the briefing drew to a close, the Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum (Phase 3) reaffirmed their “unalloyed support” to the Federal Government under President Tinubu and their determination to back Dr Otuaro in sustaining peace and development initiatives in the region. In the words of one impassioned member: “We stand firm against the winds of falsehood, and for the beacon of truth that Dr. Otuaro represents.”

In the end, their message was clear—a rallying cry against what they saw as a campaign of calumny, wrapped in the garb of social media outrage and political maneuvering. Under the glint of camera flashes and the weight of their words, they sought to anchor Dr.Otuaro’s name not in the mire of rumor but in the calm waters of integrity and service, a figure sailing steadfast through the turbulence of Niger Delta politics.

Jonathan pays condolence visit to late Ewhrudjakpo family, as Gov Diri Orders Autopsy on Deputy’s Death

Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has said the death of the deputy governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, was a sad moment for all Bayelsans.

Dr. Jonathan stated this on Saturday during a condolence visit to Governor Douye Diri and the Ewhrudjakpo family in Government House, Yenagoa.
The former president recalled how Ewhrudjakpo, who represented the governor at his foundation’s democracy dialogue programme in Benin city, Edo State, mobilised the state assembly and executive council members for the event.

"For me, he was somebody my foundation and l will never forget. He represented the governor in all our programmes.

"This year in Accra, Ghana, he did the same. On November 20 this year, he also mobilised assembly members and commissioners to Abuja to celebrate the 10th year of the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Foundation. Whenever l am having a programme, Bayelsa State is always represented. It is quite a sad moment for all of us,” Jonathan stated.
The former president eulogised Ewhrudjakpo, describing him as very humble and that nobody had anything negative to say about him.

“I was also a deputy governor but he worked harder than me. He appeared not to rest. This is even a lesson for us all to find time to rest. We pray that this state does not experience this ugly incident again. We pray God to cushion the effect of the sad incident on the state, particularly on the immediate family."

While thanking the former president for being the first to officially pay the government and the late Senator Ewuhrudjkpo family a condolence visit, Governor Douye Diri said he had directed that an autopsy be undertaken to medically determine the cause of his death.
The governor also cautioned those politicising the unfortunate incident, particularly on the social media, admonishing them to refrain from it and rather eulogise the memory of the man who he said served the state with all his heart.

He expressed appreciation to the former president for standing with the government in good and challenging times.

He said: "I want to make an appeal. I have seen people politicise his death. In Ijaw land, there is no enmity in death. Let nobody politicise the death of our dearly beloved deputy governor. If anyone loves him, this is the time to show it.

"I have directed that an autopsy be done to reveal the cause of his death. There are a lot of nonsense going on on social media. If anybody is issuing any statement to eulogise him, please end at that and mourn him because the state is in a mourning mood. That is why we have declared three working days of mourning and we expect everyone in the state to do what the former president has done today.
"Let us love one another to the point of death because all of us will answer this call one day."

Governor Diri Pays Condolence Visit to his late Deputy, Sen. Ewhrudjakpo, Describes him as a Friend with Whom he was Well Pleased

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has described his late deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, as a friend with whom he had an outstanding relationship and was never seen or treated as a subordinate.

A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, quoted Senator Diri as stating this on Friday night when he led a delegation comprising state legislators and top government officials on a visit to Mrs. Beatrice Ewhrudjakpo and his late deputy’s family at the official residence in Government House, Yenagoa.
The Bayelsa governor expressed shock at the sudden passing of his deputy on December 11, saying he had a long and cordial working relationship with him while they served in the immediate past administration in the state.

According to him, "we came a long way from the leadership of the government of my predecessor, Senator Seriake Dickson. We worked together for eight years and now in our own government, we have been together for almost six years.
"You know what it means when you have a deputy governor who works with you loyally. He was dependable, workaholic and very resourceful.

“We came together as friends and brothers. Our working relationship was not that of a boss and subordinate but it was that of a brother and friend yet recognising that l was his principal.

"Ewhrudjakpo was a man of many parts. He wore the cap of a lawyer and a public health official, who took charge of the committee on primary healthcare. Coincidentally, today (Friday), the state government received a primary healthcare award in Abuja.

"God called him when the ovation was loudest. We believed that we were going to serve together for eight years and we were almost there. Now, how do l celebrate our sixth anniversary in office without Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo?"
Describing his deputy as an upright man who stood for justice and always insisted on doing what was right, Diri said his death was not only painful but a great loss to the state, and urged the Ewhrudjakpo family and the Ofoni community to submit to the will of God, taking solace in the fact that he attained remarkable achievements during his short but impactful lifetime.

The governor assured that government would support the family and take over sponsorship of the children's education to any level as well as ensure that his staff remained part of government.

He equally assured the Ofoni community that their illustrious son, who died in active service, would be given a befitting state burial.
Responding on behalf of the family, one-time member of the state assembly and a former Commissioner for Education, Dr. Oyovwhi Osusu, expressed gratitude to the governor for identifying with the Ewhrudjakpo family and the Ofoni community over the death of the deputy governor.

Dr. Osusu, who said the family and the community were in deep shock over the tragic incident, however attributed it to God's will and thanked the state government for its support.

The governor was accompanied on the visit by his wife, Dr. Gloria Diri, Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, the Deputy Speaker, Michael Ogbere, House Leader, Monday Obolo-Bubou, and other state legislators.
Also on the entourage were the immediate past deputy governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John-Jonah (rtd), Chief of Staff, Government House, Dr Peter Akpe, Deputy Chief of Staff, Irorodamie Komonibo, members of the state executive council, President, Ijaw National Congress, Prof Benjamin Okaba, and chairman of the state Peoples Democratic Party, Solomon Agwana, among others.

Safeguarding Niger Delta Resources for Future Generations_By Engr. John Perede Akpoyibo

The Niger Delta remains one of the most strategically important regions in Africa—rich in natural resources, cultural diversity, and human potential. Yet, decades of oil exploration, environmental degradation, weak governance structures, and limited community participation have placed the future of our land, waters, and people at risk. As custodians of both heritage and knowledge, the Ijaw Publishers Forum embodies a critical platform for shaping narratives that can inspire reform, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
This presentation paper reflects my personal perspective on the urgent need to safeguard the Niger Delta’s resources—not only for today’s survival but also for the prosperity and dignity of generations yet unborn.

1. The Niger Delta at a Crossroads

The region faces a paradox: it is one of the world’s most resource-rich areas yet remains structurally underdeveloped. The Niger Delta’s challenges include:

Environmental pollution from oil spills and gas flaring

Loss of biodiversity, mangroves, and farmlands

Declining fish stock and water quality

Over-dependence on crude oil revenues

Insufficient investment in education, research, and green technology

Poor accountability in resource management

These challenges threaten not only the present but cast shadows over the future we desire for our children.

2. The Moral Obligation of Resource Protection
Safeguarding resources is not merely a technical conversation—it is a moral duty.
The Ijaw people have for centuries lived in harmony with the land and waters. Our forebears managed their environment with a sense of stewardship, understanding that the earth is borrowed from future generations, not inherited outright.

Today, we must reclaim that wisdom and embed environmental responsibility into modern frameworks of governance, policy, and community engagement.

3. Strengthening Environmental Governance

For the Niger Delta to achieve sustainable development, we must prioritize:

a. Transparent Regulation

Regulators must be insulated from political interference. Penalties for environmental violations should be enforced consistently and publicly.

b. Community-Centered Monitoring

Ijaw communities should be empowered with data-driven tools—mobile reporting apps, drone mapping, environmental audits—to independently monitor ecological damage.

c. Mandatory Clean-Up Frameworks

Oil companies must adhere to internationally recognized standards of environmental remediation, with timelines, budgets, and penalties clearly defined.

4. Diversification for Economic Resilience

The future of the Niger Delta cannot rely solely on crude oil. We must aggressively pursue development in:

Marine and aquaculture industries

Modular refining with environmental safeguards

Renewable energy (solar, tidal, bio-energy)

Eco-tourism and cultural heritage industries

Agro-processing and agricultural value chains

A diversified economy reduces pressure on oil resources and opens doors for youth employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

5. Documentation and the Role of Ijaw Publishers

The Ijaw Publishers Forum must play a central role in safeguarding resources by shaping knowledge and narratives. This includes:

a. Environmental Journalism

Publishing investigative reports on pollution patterns, oil spill data, gas flaring sites, and ecological loss.

b. Cultural Preservation

Documenting traditional knowledge systems—fishing methods, land use ethics, waterway naming, ecological wisdom—that reinforce sustainable living.

c. Policy Advocacy

Using publications, editorials, and literary platforms to influence policymakers and mobilize public opinion.

d. Youth Education

Producing simplified materials for schools to instill environmental consciousness from an early age.

6. The Imperative of Community Empowerment

Sustainability cannot succeed without empowered communities. Local populations should participate fully in:

Resource management decisions

Environmental monitoring

Pipeline surveillance using non-violent community systems

Local content policies that prioritize Ijaw contractors and professionals

Empowerment reduces conflict, improves accountability, and ensures long-term responsibility.

7. Technology as a Tool for Safeguarding Resources

Modern technological solutions must be embraced:

AI-assisted oil spill detection

Satellite-based pollution monitoring

Smart water quality sensors

Digital land registry systems to prevent illegal land grabs

Environmental databases accessible to researchers and communities

Technology strengthens transparency and weakens the secrecy that enables exploitation.

8. Building Institutions for the Next Century

It is time to invest in institutions that outlive individual administrations.
Among them:

A Niger Delta Environmental Research Institute

Community-based disaster management centers

A regional climate resilience council

Modern vocational institutions for maritime and environmental sciences

Institutions provide continuity, professionalism, and structure for sustainable development.

9. A Call for Collective Responsibility

The work of safeguarding Niger Delta resources requires unity across all sectors:

Government must lead with integrity

Oil companies must operate with responsibility

Communities must embrace peace and accountability

Publishers and journalists must illuminate the truth

Professionals must provide technical solutions

Youth must rise as custodians of their own future

Our path forward will be shaped by how collectively we respond to today’s challenges.

A Legacy Worth Leaving

The Niger Delta is more than a geographical entity—it is our identity, our inheritance, and our future. To safeguard its resources is to protect our culture, our dignity, and our collective destiny. The decisions we make today will determine whether future generations inherit a land of prosperity or a wasteland of missed opportunities.
As we gather under the umbrella of the Ijaw Publishers Forum, I urge us to use our pens, our platforms, and our voices to defend the Niger Delta with renewed purpose. Let us build a future where the environment is nurtured, resources are responsibly managed, and the Ijaw nation stands as a beacon of sustainable development for all of Africa.

The future is watching us. Let us not fail it.

Just-ln: Nigeria Forest Security Services Deputy Commandant, Capt. Bubor Wilson Seeks Partnership with lPF on Adequate Media Coverage

Warri____The Deputy Commandant of the Nigeria Forest Security Services (NFSS) for the South-South region, Amb. Dr. Capt. Wilson Miller Bubor, has expressed his office's willingness to work closely with the media and other relevant stakeholders in ensuring that forests in the region are free of criminal elements.

Capt. Bubor made this known during a courtesy call by a delegation of the Ijaw Publishers' Forum (IPF) in his office on Tuesday in Warri. He expressed profound appreciation to the Ijaw Publishers' Forum (IPF) for deeming it necessary to pay his office a courtesy visit, pledging stronger collaboration with the media as the new security outfit intensifies efforts to reclaim Nigeria's forests from terrorists, bandits, criminal herdsmen,  kidnappers, and other criminal gangs.

Capt. Bubor, who also served as the Executive Chairman of Makaraba Community in the Chevron Nigeria Limited operated OML 49, commended the IPF for what he described as a "timely and patriotic reportage of news." He assured that the NFSS would maintain an open-door relationship with credible homegrown media organisations to ensure accurate reportage of its operations.

"We are at the beginning of a defining national assignment, and the media remains a critical partner in shaping public understanding of our work. I deeply appreciate your visit and assure you that we will collaborate closely," he said.
Responding, IPF President Comrade Austin Ozobo thanked Capt. Bubor for hosting the delegation despite his demanding schedule, describing the interaction as a key step toward fostering transparency and public trust in forest-security operations. Also in Ozobo's entourage was Comrade Oyinbi Charles Onduku, the National Vice President of the IPF, Prince Dr. Peretengboro Klintin Bibaikefie, Assistant Secretary of the IPF, and MMD Tam Okunbiri who is also a critical stakeholder in the IPF.
As the newly inaugurated Forest Security Service prepared for large-scale deployment across critical forest belts nationwide, Capt. Bubor reiterated the Service's commitment to professionalism, intelligence-driven operations, and strong partnerships with the media to counter misinformation and strengthen national security.

He emphasized that effective communication will be essential in mobilising public support for the Service's mission of ridding forests of violent extremists, illegal loggers, kidnappers, and other criminal networks threatening Nigeria's stability.

DR. DENNIS OTUARO: A BEACON OF INTEGRITY AMIDST MALICIOUS STORMS :- Standing Tall Against Waves of Falsehood

--- In Defence of Truth – Standing with Dr. Dennis Otuaro -

I completely dismiss with every fibre of conviction the recent poisonous video circulating on Facebook, in which one Mr. Jude Gbaboyor has dared to level the gravest of allegations against Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the distinguished Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. In that shameless piece of deceit, he throws about wild accusations of murder, ritual practices and kidnapping, as though words were leaves to be scattered recklessly in the wind. These claims are without substance, birthed in the dark corner of spite, and driven not by any honest concern, but by malice that seeks to stain the unblemished record of a man devoted to building peace in the Niger Delta.

Mr. Gbaboyor’s actions have not sprung from truth but from personal frustration, from the bitter well of a man waging a campaign of propaganda designed to chip away at the stone fortress of integrity that is Dr. Otuaro’s character. This is not the voice of justice, but of resentment, dressed in the disguise of accusation. No matter how loudly the falsehoods are shouted, lies cannot tear down the pillars of credibility upon which Dr. Otuaro stands.

The man behind these claims is no stranger to disgrace. Mr. Gbaboyor is a fugitive from justice, living abroad after committing offences that fall squarely under Nigeria’s cybercrime laws. He deliberately fled the country when law enforcement sought his presence, following credible petitions submitted to the authorities by the Amnesty Administrator. Those petitions accused him of cyberstalking, criminal intimidation, and deliberate disinformation against a public officer.

This shameful episode is not the first time he has targeted Dr. Otuaro with outlandish accusations. His repeated behaviour, like a broken drum echoing the same false rhythm, portrays a relentless desire to tarnish a name that remains untarnished in the eyes of those who know the depth of Dr. Otuaro’s service. His past dismissal from the Programme was due to unacceptable conduct and a lack of the very character that qualifies a man to serve the public. That dismissal -- well deserved and firmly grounded -- severed his connection to the PAP, and when his attempt to claw back into favour failed, he turned to blackmail, crude falsehoods and social media propaganda.

His desperation has even led him to an unpatriotic act that borders on an insult to Nigeria’s sovereignty -- by appealing to the President of the United States in what can only be described as an ill-judged and melodramatic move. To take a domestic matter, rooted firmly within Nigeria’s legal soil, and parade it before foreign leadership is as misguided as attempting to solve a village dispute by imploring a stranger from across the ocean. It is not only disrespectful, it is deeply unbecoming.

The public must not be misled. The nonsense paraded in that video holds no weight, and the very fact that Mr. Gbaboyor runs from truthful confrontation proves that his claims are nothing more than words woven from cowardice. If he has even a drop of honesty in him, let him return to Nigeria and speak his so-called truth before the proper authorities. But instead, he stays abroad, hurling insults from hiding, using distance as his false armour against lawful accountability.

Through all this noise, Dr. Dennis Otuaro remains undistracted. His vision keeps the Amnesty Programme focused on its true mission: strengthening sustainable peace in the Niger Delta, empowering ex-agitators to rebuild their lives with dignity, driving development projects, opening doors to education, and encouraging entrepreneurship that ignites hope. Just as a skilful captain keeps his vessel steady through rough waters, Dr. Otuaro steers the Programme away from the rocks of disruption, ensuring its impact reaches those who depend upon it.

The Programme thrives because of his transparency, his accountability, and his faith in the rule of law. The integrity he upholds is the very foundation upon which trust in public leadership is built. While others may shout from the shadows, Dr. Otuaro works under the sun -- visible, decisive, and determined.

These malicious attacks, however loud, are nothing more than passing clouds before the brightness of a midday sun. Dr. Dennis Otuaro’s leadership continues as a clear example of what principled service should look like. He is a worthy leader -- calm amidst storms, relentless in his pursuit of peace, and unyielding in the face of fabricated propaganda.

In the end, truth will stand as the victor, for no lie can endure against the light it fears. And in that truth, the name of Dr. Dennis Otuaro will remain untarnished -- spoken with respect and celebrated as a guiding force in the Niger Delta’s journey toward lasting peace.

Opinion: The Anatomy of a Family Group Chat_By William Z. Bozimo

Every family has a house they grew up in, and in this digital generation, that house sits inside a smartphone that is always active, noisy, and one “Good morning” broadcast away from chaos. The family group chat has become the most democratic institution in Africa, where it feels as if everybody is equal, everyone is present, and also guilty of typing “Amen” without first reading any post. Yet, beneath all the emojis, religious flyers, and political audios lies a whole ecosystem of characters.

The first group are the Broadcaster-in-Chief. The sender of 97% of all the posts. Their mission is simple: to make sure that all the group members never run out of forwarded messages. Their toolkit includes: posting Inspirational quotes with an unidentified author, a Morning devotion audio (7 minutes), and a political conspiracy theory that begins with “Share until it reaches the President.” Plus a photo of something nobody asked for. They are immune to being muted. Even if you mute them, they will still try to reach you. And you don’t need an ancestry graph to figure out what they're doing, Just scroll up.

The second group are the noiseless minister of information and abidance.
They never comment or contribute to anything happening in the group, but they are aware of everything going on in the family before anyone else. Such a person is the bystander, the digital CCTV, the quiet reader who logs in 12 times per day, and gives nothing back except “Seen” or “noted.” If you ever want to know who reads all the group messages and watches all their posts and doesn't reply, it is mostly them.

The third group is a combination of two categories of individuals who are operating in opposite directions until the one with negative energy is totally overpowered and sent packing from the group chat for peace and sanity to be restored. These two classifications are the evil eyes that watch, and the prayer warrior-in-residence. Whether we believe it or not, it is no secret that most families have people who fall into either of these categories. It is sad but true and this is the reality of relatives.

All family group chat have their usual personalities like the entrepreneurs, the broadcaster-in-chief, comedians, diplomats, and then the ones nobody talks about openly: the quiet haters, jealous watchers, and the ones who never compliment but never miss an update. In the same space where we see good morning stickers fly around, another type of energy hides behind emojis like envy, unforgiveness, hate, and bitterness. Some members of the family group chat unfortunately want to celebrate your setbacks silently.

They believed you would never rise again, and felt that your battles were endless. So your comeback now feels like a mockery of their unfavourable predictions. They constantly watch your improvement like investigators, hoping for cracks, failure, and proof that your success is accidental. But what they forget is that in the same chat where the hateful eyes monitor your steps, there is always a prayer warrior-in-residence; the one who sees through every shadow around.

While jealousy is calculating your downfall, this warrior is calling your name during morning devotion. As bitterness sends silent arrows, they are firing “Back to Sender” without blinking. As some people in the group cannot stand your rising, the warrior is raising altars on your behalf daily. And when God decides to strengthen your rising, no envious heart can suppress your destiny. Let them whisper and refresh your profile every hour. Your divine healing is the message, their surprise is the reaction, and God’s protection is the final delivery.

When all these temperaments collide, and a simple question like who will be hosting this year's family meeting is asked in the group chat, it can evolve into a 72-hour festival of nonessential debates, confrontation, accusations, unhealthy jokes, prayers, forwarded videos, politics, confusion, apologies, voice notes, and emotional blackmail. At my age, I can tell you that the family group chat is not just a digital room, it is the modern village square where family bonds are frequently bruised and corrected, where laughter is free therapy, where all generations meet without travelling, and where thanks hides inside disputes.
The family group chat is the last surviving proof that no matter how scattered life becomes, most family always finds a way to gather. Even if the meeting is on WhatsApp.

Occasionally, something beautiful still happens amid all the chaos; and beneath the noise, a messy, loud, but unfiltered love can still exist.

NDYCN lambasts imposter Becham Ufuoma, describes claims as gross distortion of truth, declares support for Dr Otuaro

The Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria (NDYCN) has distanced itself from a misleading publication made by Mr. Becham Ufuoma, who has been falsely claiming to be the President of the organization.

In a statement, Amb. Blessing Adogbeji, the National President of NDYCN, described Ufuoma as an imposter who has never been elected, appointed, or endorsed by the organization.

The statement emphasized that NDYCN has only one recognized National President, Amb. Blessing Adogbeji, and that Ufuoma's statements do not represent the organization.

The NDYCN also reaffirmed its support for the Presidential Amnesty Programme, led by Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro, describing his administration as the most peaceful, stable, and development-driven since the programme's inception.

The organization warned that it will not tolerate impersonation and urged the public to disregard Ufuoma's publication, stating that he has no platform, constituency, or authority to speak for Niger Delta youths.

The statement read, "The NDYCN remains committed to unity, strategic engagement, and regional development, and will continue to defend and support credible leadership that delivers results".

REJOINDER TO THE FALSE CLAIMS AND MISLEADING PUBLICATION BY MR. BECHAM UFUOMA

My attention has been drawn to a highly irresponsible and misleading publication made by Mr. Becham Ufuoma, who has been parading himself as “President” of the Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria (NDYCN) and issuing reckless statements targeted at respected leaders of the Niger Delta region.

For clarity and public understanding:

1. Mr. Becham Ufuoma is an impostor.

He has never been elected, appointed, nominated, or endorsed at any level of the NDYCN structure.
He operates with no mandate and no legitimacy whatsoever.

2. NDYCN has only ONE recognized National President.

That office is vested in Amb. Blessing Adogbeji, duly acknowledged by stakeholders, youth blocs, regional leadership, and partnering institutions across the Niger Delta.

3. NDYCN strongly distances itself from Ufuoma’s reckless comments.

His statements do not represent NDYCN. They represent only his personal frustration, desperation, and failed attempts to seek relevance through impersonation.

4. His attempt to run a parallel structure is criminal, fraudulent, and completely rejected.

No individual can form a one-man contraption and attempt to drag a respected Niger Delta institution into disrepute. NDYCN will not tolerate such impersonation.

5. The Niger Delta Youth Council stands firmly with the Presidential Amnesty Programme under the leadership of the Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro.
Chief Otuaro’s administration remains the most peaceful, stable, and development-driven since the inception of the programme.
His hands-on engagement, transparency, and impact across the region speak for themselves.

6. Anyone attacking Chief Otuaro without facts is simply exposing their own ignorance and lack of understanding of Niger Delta governance dynamics.

The NDYCN will continue to defend and support credible leadership that delivers results.

7. The public is hereby advised to disregard the impostor’s publication in its entirety.

He has no platform, no constituency, and no authority to speak for the Niger Delta youths.

NDYCN remains focused on unity, strategic engagement, and regional development.
We will not allow desperate, unauthorized individuals to undermine the integrity of this great institution.
Signed,
Amb. Blessing Adogbeji

PAP Dismisses Video Containing False Allegations Against Otuaro

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has dismissed as baseless and malicious the recent allegations made by Mr Jude Gbaboyor against the Administrator of the Programme, Dr Dennis Otuaro.

In a video circulating on Facebook, which he purportedly recorded in the United States, Gbaboyor levelled grave and unfounded accusations against Dr Otuaro, including claims of murder, ritualism, and kidnapping.

However, the PAP in a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media to the Administrator, Mr Igoniko Oduma, on Monday, stated that the video in which he called for the Administrator's removal, represents yet another desperate attempt by Gbaboyor to defame Otuaro's character and undermine the credible work of the Programme.

The statement added that Gbaboyor now a fugitive committed the crimes of cyberstalking among others and decided to flee the country to  evade arrest and prosecution.

The statement emphasized that the said Gbaboyor was dismissed from the PAP due to his unacceptable conduct some years back and should be discountenanced by the reading public.

The statement reads, ‘’This is not the first time Gbaboyor has made outrageous and unsubstantiated claims against the PAP boss. His persistent campaign of calumny prompted the PAP Administrator to formally petition relevant security agencies, citing cyberstalking and criminal intimidation.

“When invited by the Nigeria Police Force to answer questions regarding these spurious allegations, Gbaboyor fled the country, effectively making himself a fugitive from justice.

‘’It is instructive to note that Gbaboyor's relentless attacks on Dr Otuaro began only after the Administrator rejected his request for reinstatement at the Amnesty Office, from which he was previously dismissed several years ago due to his lack of character.

“Having failed to ingratiate himself with the PAP leadership and secure reemployment through proper channels, Gbaboyor has resorted to character assassination and the dissemination of false information.

‘’Particularly troubling is Gbaboyor's appeal to the President of the United States to interfere in what is purely a personal matter under local jurisdiction. This represents a profound insult to Nigeria's sovereignty and a misguided attempt to internationalise personal grievances.

‘’The Presidential Amnesty Programme urges members of the public to disregard these irresponsible acts and baseless allegations in their entirety. If Gbaboyor genuinely believes in the veracity of his claims, he should demonstrate the courage of his convictions by returning to Nigeria to substantiate them before the appropriate authorities and courts of law.

‘’Instead, his flight from lawful police invitation and subsequent attacks from abroad reveal the true nature of his campaign: a calculated effort to malign a public servant from the safety of foreign shores, beyond the immediate reach of Nigerian law enforcement.

‘’Under Dr Dennis Otuaro's leadership, the Presidential Amnesty Programme has remained focused on its mandate of fostering sustainable peace and development in the Niger Delta region. The Programme will not be distracted by spurious allegations from misguided and    individuals pursuing personal vendettas.

‘’The Presidential Amnesty Programme reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law and will continue to pursue all legal remedies available to protect the integrity and reputation of the Administrator and the agency."
